The pull off lid fits tightly and is decorated with flowers and scrolls and the same pattern is repeated on the upper part of the body. The lower body has a wrythen pattern. A crimped flared base and a vacant cartouche. Full hallmarks to the lid are clearly struck. Those on the body partially worn. Likely a tea caddy. This piece was made by W. J. Braitsch& Co and dates to around the turn of the century. The jar is beautifully hand chased with a floral and scroll repousse design, in a continuous band around the body and around the top of the lid. The jar is clean and ready for use as storage for whatever you like, or simply as a display piece. This piece is in great condition. The details of the chased designs are nice and crisp. The finial of the lid has a couple of tiny dings. Which are not very noticeable. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents to the body, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
