Nice set of 6 Original tiger oak press back dining/kitchen chairs. Hard to find a complete set of 6 in such nice condition. The cane seats have been covered over in wood. And upholstered in leopard fabric. the cane is there, but worn on most of the chairs, so we made it more secure and comfy by upholstering the seats. Height overall is 39" seat height is approx. 18" Width of back of chair at widest is 21" a great matching set. This beautiful. Heavy, carved dark wood dining room table, 3 extension leaves, and 5 side chairs have been in our family since my grandparents got married in NY in 1899. My cousin assures me it is mahogany. The table is 32" High, 60" LONG WITHOUT EXTENSIONS, AND 46" Wide. The leaves are 12" 12" and 9 1/2" wide. The set is in Slate Hill, NY 10973(near Middletown, NY and the NJ border) and is available for pick up only. A Set Of 4 Gorgeous Antique Victorian Parlor/Dining Chairs. The chairs are beautifully designed. With a slight balloon backing that tapers to a sleek wasteline. Victorian era. Circa 1870's-1890'S. THIS AUCTION IS FOR ALL 4 CHAIRS. This style was very popular during the Rococo revival period of the late 19th century(toward the end of the victorian era) And these are great examples of a later Rococo Design. Though it's possible they were from the earlier part of the Rococo revival period. The frames are a solid hardwood. Almost surely maple, though victorian era furniture is not my expertise, and I'm not familiar with various stains that may create a lighter look to a typically darker wood. Side Chair Dimensions: Approximate 39" tall. 19" wide, 17" deep, and the seat height is approx 19" Armchair Dimensions: ... moreApprox 41" tall. 22" wide, 18" deep, and the seat height is approx 19" Condition: These are great late 19th century chairs. In fully functional condition as is! The upholstery has no rips. Tears, or seam splits. It likely the ORIGINAL upholstery on the chairs, as it has the age appropriate wear on it. And the patina is intact on the chairs, particularly the armchair(where the patina was not disturbed due to the arms of the chair preventing pants or other clothing from contacting it during regular use) One chair has some loose joints. And the seat springs need to be redone. But nothing other than reconditioning the chair. A different chair had the top 2 inches of wood broken at some point. And has been repaired, but is hardly noticable. The armchair has a repaired break on the left arm. But is completely stable and shows no visible weakness. It has one small loose joint on the other arm. But this is very slight, just needs to be re-affixed with a furniture glue or lacquer. The chairs DID the springs worked on or possibly replaced at some point. As the underside shows reconditioning work. The fabric does have some wear. Particularly on the arms of the armcha

With some irregularities. The arm chair has a bad cane seat, and is the same style of chair with the same center splat, the same crest, and the front spindles are the same, but the front legs are different. There are three adult-size dining chairs and one youth chair. They came in loose, need to be re-glued, and were refinished a long time ago. You can see where the youth chair broke a long time ago, and was repaired. The repair is so-so. These are very reasonably priced and only need re-gluing to be usable. The overall size of the adult side chairs is 18 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, and 35 inches tall. The youth chair is 39 inches tall, and the seat is 20 inches high. The arm chair will need the seat completely re-caned. The size is 20 inches wide, 19 inches wide, 35 inches high to the crest, and 18 inches to the seat. Keep in mind these chairs do need some repairs, but this is a great, reasonably priced way to get an antique set of chairs. Here is a really great set of 19th century heavily carved solid oak chairs with original cane seats and pegged construction. The barley twists are fantastic and there is a lot of it.along the backs of the chairs as well as the front and rear legs and stretchers. The carved crowns of each chair is a little different and they all have the same design of bellflowers. Shells, C-scrolls, foliage and other floral touches. This is all carved thick oak and is shown from the front and the back. The seat edges are all very interesting carved. Almost a gadrooned look, to the side and front edges of each chair. Set of 8 English country dining chairs These well-matched chairs date from the late 19th Century. A classic British stick back design. They were handcrafted in England. It's uncommon even in England to find a set of eight, and exceedingly rare to find any on this side of the pond. They retain their original finish. Constructed of beech or poplar wood, the chair have slab seats of with distinctive elm woodgrain. While the main joints' glue is in sound condition, the chairs will need some attention on a seat split and a rung. This is a good traditional set of chairs. They have a good natural patina, they have not been stripped and would be the perfect addition to any authentic farmhouse kitchen. The chairs are 3r" high at the back. For sale is this lovely pair of side chairs from a very old VA estate. I do not know when they were made or by whom. I believe they are Walnut but I do not know for sure. The frame of these chairs is carved and very ornate. It has flowers and roses carved into it and the back cushion is not the standard round or square but rather a unique shape. They are currently upholstered in a gold and blue striped fabric that I believe is the original fabric. The upholstery is in need of repair(see photos) One chair has a repair in the upper right corner(see photos) Dimensions of chairs are as follows: 37 inches high from floor to the top of chair; seat height is 17 1/2 inches; 18 inches deep; and 18 inches wide.
