The needlepoint seat is original with the seat itself featuring springs and padding for comfort. As stated this is a petite chair with the top of the seat measuring 14 inches from the floor. The chair measures 21 inches long by 20 1/2 inches wide and is 38 1/2 inches tall. The wood on this chair is solid walnut and is well preserved and cared for. There are minor portions of surface cracking on what appears to have been some sort of a varnish applied to the front legs. This doesn't affect the wood or quality of the chair. As this chair is in the age range of 150 years old plus. These minor imperfections add to the authenticity of evidence of its true age. Additionally, there are a few tacks missing(about 4) from the seat area which can be viewed in the photos. Shipping: I will package this for shipment and ship via UPS. The original leather upholstery remains beneath, this being in fair condition, however one of the seats does have a tear in the original leather work, hence having been recovered. Two of the seat pads have been filled with cotton wadding to the underside, still retaining the original webbing and filling, and supported with plyboard bases to firm the seats up. It would be relatively easy to have the seats re-webbed, however, they are now in full usable condition. There is some natural distressing to leading edges on the legs, seat rails and back crests, adding to character and authenticity. France and imported to it's current location in Charleston, SC. This high quality solid oak furniture was manufactured somewhere between the 1900 and the early to mid-twentieth century. In addition to the wonderful condition, the beautiful wood grain is highlighted by the highly detailed carvings and the parquet oak and burl top alongside fabulous heavy carved full size dining chairs with leather seats, secured with a complete set of decorative brass tacks. These chairs are particularly rare and hard to find with their full size dimensions and comfortable leather sling seats. WALNUT EASTLAKE PARLOR OR SLIPPER CHAIR CIRCA 1880 - GOOD PROJECT CHAIR
This is a sturdy eastlake side chair that was likely part of a parlor set at one time. This is a good project chair for restoration. The chair stands 35" high from the floor to the top of the back rest. The back rest part of the chair is 17" wide and the seat part is 19" wide. The seat sits 17 1/2" off the floor. The front legs are 14" long. The legs attach to a 2" wooden rim and then the upholstered seat bottom. The front legs are lathe turned and the back legs are tapered. The fabric is in good condition although not that attractive. There is a piece of wood chipped off the top of the chair. This is easily repairable. The round piece at the top right of the back is also slightly loose but this also is easily repairable. The finish on the chair is not alligatored and could possibly be cleaned to save the original ... morefinish. I have had success doing this with this type of patina. This is a classic bent wood rocking chair from era circa 1840 to 1880. The seat and chair back were re-cained by Robert"Doc" Banzhaf of Boone North Carolina. At that time we asked"Doc" how old the chair was and he said that he thought it was from the fore mentioned time frame. The chair is in excellent condition. Antique Walnut Stained Spindle Back Oak Chair& Cane Seat ~~~~ Chair from approx 1880 EXCELLENT PRE-OWNED CONDITION This wooden antique Spindle Back Chair was lovingly refinished and then stained a Walnut finish in approximately early 1970's. Then a new Cane Seat was rewoven. The Chair and the Seat are in excellent condition and it comes from the home of the person who refinished this chair. There are some minor repairs to this chair. some gluing and nails to the underside along where the cane weaving is on one side. It does not deter from the strength or stability of the chair. The cane seat is nice and tight and is in great condition! Antique Large Victorian Chair Dog Head Parlour Figural Chair Circa 1880
Up for consideration is a fine lounge chair with figural dog heads on the arms. The Chair measures a 41 inches tall by 32 inches wide with a depth of 36 inches. The chair really leans back so that a gentleman can really lean back possibly to relieve pressure off pistols swords as to sit straight up can be uncomfortable. The dogs have a lil rub that looks a lot more dramatic then it is because of the dry wood exposed. No crack etc to the wood or visible repairs. The varnish looks to be old and possibly original. This is a very masculine chair that is fairly large and has a variety of applications for use in a number of themes from library hunting.etc.so for the chair is just over size limitations to send via Greyhound Package Express. circa 1880's 1890's empire style mahogany Morris Chair recliner with paw feet
This is a substantial Morris chair. Vey thick. Has large paw feet and the hand rail support is in the form of a column with an Ionic design on the top. Appears to have original 4 position reclining hardware with rod and both caps still intact. Not sure exactly when this chair dates to but I think it is just before turn of last century. The cushions have modern fabric with zip covers over some type of firm foam pads which can easily be removed and re-upholstered. Though it does have some defects from aging they don't really detract from the visual appeal of the chair and structurally it is very sound and sturdy. If you want something unique for you home this would fit that bill.Local pick only unless you want to set up your own pick up. However no returns on this item so please be sure this is what you want before bidding.

Antique Victorian Chippendale Style Corner Chair Circa 1880
Featured is a beautiful Victorian corner chair in the Chippendale style. It has a lovely North wind carved design on the back crest and an old needlepoint seat. The finish I believe is the original one. I have owned it for 38 years and just dusted it never using wax or any chemicals on it. There is wear to the ball and claw feet where the finish is worn. Several repairs to one carved back splat on the back of it. It measures appx. 31 inches in height and the seat height is appx. 17 1/2 inches. Made in 1880. Please email me with any questions. You are bidding on an old. Original George Hunzinger Oak Platform Rocking Chair, Circa 1880's. The original upholstery was removed and a cane seat was installed. This chair can be upholstered, if desired. There are a few chips and scratches out of the wood, but overall the chair is in very good, functioning condition. The hinge underneath works well.
