The black walnut frames date from the 1860s to 1870s and are very similar. Unless you look closely, you would never know they are not a match as the fabric dominates your eye. One chair has metal castors that are all original and the other chair has wooden castors that appear to be original. The gentleman’s arm chair is in nice condition and I don’t see anything wrong with it. The ladies chair is in good condition with a typical split in the seam in the back that we will tighten up prior to shipping. There are no metal bracing or any poor repairs to the chair.

Both these antique parlor chairs have cabriole legs in the front with the original castors; the lady’s chair has finger carving which has an oversize medallion back and dainty hip rests and the gent’s chair has dainty open arms. The woodwork on the gent’s chair is a bit narrower than the lady’s chair. The fabric is nice and usable, but the fabric on the top of the lady’s chair could be tightened up a bit. The lady’s chair is 22 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 17 inches high to the seat and 39 inches high to the chair back.

This is a beautiful set by Eastlake. It has been passed down 4 generations to me. I love it but with 3 growing kids I don't have the space for it anymore. This lot includes 2 Chairs and A Rocking Chair. They are all in excellent condition for their age. The fabric is a little worn in areas from age. But no major damage. The wood is in excellent shape. They were appraised by an appraiser in New Orleans a few years ago for $3800. Buyer must be able to pick up in Lafayette or meet close to there. I will not meet until payment is received. I inherited this set of lovely Victorian parlor chairs from my parents in 1975. They had been given to them in 1945 from the estate of two sisters who lived next door. The sisters and their parents had lived in the same house since around 1875. Thus. I believe the chairs are about 125 years old. I had the chairs completely reupholstered and recovered when I redecorated our home in 1996-97. Since then I have kept them covered with heavy cotton dust covers(see photos) which are included. The chairs were displayed on a balcony over the foyer and have not been used for seating. I'm a private seller; not a dealer. Thus. 4 Antique Victorian Maple Parlor Dining Chairs 1800s 19th Century Rococo Revival
A Set Of 4 Gorgeous Antique Victorian Parlor/Dining Chairs. The chairs are beautifully designed. With a slight balloon backing that tapers to a sleek wasteline. Victorian era. Circa 1870's-1890'S. THIS AUCTION IS FOR ALL 4 CHAIRS. This style was very popular during the Rococo revival period of the late 19th century(toward the end of the victorian era) And these are great examples of a later Rococo Design. Though it's possible they were from the earlier part of the Rococo revival period. The frames are a solid hardwood. Almost surely maple, though victorian era furniture is not my expertise, and I'm not familiar with various stains that may create a lighter look to a typically darker wood. Side Chair Dimensions: Approximate 39" tall. 19" wide, 17" deep, and the seat height is approx 19" Armchair Dimensions: ... moreApprox 41" tall. 22" wide, 18" deep, and the seat height is approx 19" Condition: These are great late 19th century chairs. In fully functional condition as is! The upholstery has no rips. Tears, or seam splits. It likely the ORIGINAL upholstery on the chairs, as it has the age appropriate wear on it. And the patina is intact on the chairs, particularly the armchair(where the patina was not disturbed due to the arms of the chair preventing pants or other clothing from contacting it during regular use) One chair has some loose joints. And the seat springs need to be redone. But nothing other than reconditioning the chair. A different chair had the top 2 inches of wood broken at some point. And has been repaired, but is hardly noticable. The armchair has a repaired break on the left arm. But is completely stable and shows no visible weakness. It has one small loose joint on the other arm. But this is very slight, just needs to be re-affixed with a furniture glue or lacquer. The chairs DID the springs worked on or possibly replaced at some point. As the underside shows reconditioning work. The fabric does have some wear. Particularly on the arms of the armcha

Nice fabric and was done at a locl prison where they did upholstery work in Lebanon Ky several years ago. No stains or holes.Or oders. I purchased these at an estate auction here in Central Kentucky. PAIR of Victorian Aesthetic Era Parlor Side Chairs
I've had these chairs for while and we had them upholstered matched to our interior trim color. The color is a light misty green and the upholstery picks up the light nicely. You could not get these reupholstered today for our asking price. The back upholstery is divided with pleats just like the original upholstery and the gimp is complementary. These will go just about anywhere and would be a good complementary color if you were pairing them with a settee to create a parlor set. The wood is lighter color and I am not sure of the type of wood. Chairs are 20 inches wide. 20 inches deep. The seat top is 17 inches off the floor and the chair backs are 35 1/2 high. I have up for sale a gorgeous matching pair of Antique circa 1870s or there abouts Victorian Walnut Side Chairs. Very unusual upper section featuring carved serpents. The chairs are walnut with burl veneer accents. Eastlake spoon carving and ball top finials. The chairs are in Superb Condition- appear to have been refinished and reupholstered at sometime in the past. This would have been done many years back as the lovely woman that I purchased these from was well into her 80s and probably done this back in the 50s at the time when they moved into their home. They were cherished and extremely well cared for any use wear is most meager-condition wise impossible to get any better than this. The chairs each stand approx 38" tall.Approx 19" wide across the front of the set, approx 18" from the ground to the top of the seat, approx ... more18-3/4" across the wood frame on the top of the chairs back. Perfect for a Victorian Parlor Decor, a bedroom as they are smaller in size, as a desk chair,etc. The chairs are in fabulous condition! The upholstery is gorgeous- clean- with most minimal of any wear- no stains and no odors or issues of anykind. Basically as Good As it Gets. I notice on very minor imperfection- an old crack/ repair on one of the bracket arm supports-shown in my last pic. This is superficial and not something that would be noticed unless viewing closeup with scrutiny. The chairs are strong and sturdy. The wood is in excellent shape, appear to have been refinished by someone who really knew what they were doing. Any wear is most minor- no real issues. With all this said- these are not chairs intended to be used by someone of extreme weight or size. They are basically the side of a dining room chair- smaller in size when compared to a arm chair or something of that nature. Use my measurements and your common sense. For sale is this lovely pair of side chairs from a very old VA estate. I do not know when they were made or by whom. I believe they are Walnut but I do not know for sure. The frame of these chairs is carved and very ornate. It has flowers and roses carved into it and the back cushion is not the standard round or square but rather a unique shape. They are currently upholstered in a gold and blue striped fabric that I believe is the original fabric. Up for sale i have a very nice pair of his and hers antique walnut parlor chairs, balloon back, his has about a 40" tall back, 24" x 23" seats, hers the back is about 38" L ooks like the fabric was probably replaced. Looks good. as you can see i pulled back part of the cloth on the bottom hoping to find a name, no name but it was interesting that there was thick strips of what looks like heavy burlap stretched tightly across the bottom. A couple of staples and it will look like new again. Probably from late 1800's. Hers has rollers on the front but not on the back. His has rollers on front and back. PAIR OF Antique CARVED WALNUT Victorian PARLOR Arm CHAIRS Needlepoint 19th Cent
For sale are a pair of original antique late 1800's Victorian armchairs. These pieces look to be carved walnut. But they also could be mahogany as I am not an expert on my wood types. Chairs were recovered and restored back in the 20's or 30's with the current needlepoint upholstery they have now. The upholstery is in nice shape and free of damage. Minor cleaning may be needed as they have sat in one spot unused for many years. Both chairs still sit nicely. And comfortably, with no noticeable wear to the seating. The backs of the chairs are faded(pictured) But since the pics were taken they have BEEN REFINISHED so they now look, and match with the rest of the chair. When looking really closely at the wood you can see a couple spots where the chairs were professionally repaired in the past. Currently the arms on the chairs are ... moreloose where they meet the back. The legs are all solid and sturdy with no cracks or breaks that I can find. The there are some minor bumps and knicks here and there on the wood, consistent with age, nothing too bad though, and nothing that couldn't be cleaned up/ refinished, if you felt it was needed. The front legs on both chairs have casters to easily move them about. Antique armchairs measure 26" wide. 23" deep, and 41" tall. I am selling these chairs for an older friend of mine. These chairs originally belonged to his mom who lived to be in her 100s. And he is now in his early 80s, so you can rest assured that these are not Post 1950's reproductions. For sale a pair of fantastic true parlor chairs. These are from our families creole estate from the River Road area of Louisiana.They are true antiques not reproductions. I believe the wood to be mahogany or a deep cherry the original patina not refinished all wear consistent with age see last picture small mar. The seats have recently been refurbished by one of the Best upholsters in Savannah with care to keeping to original design. The needlepoint seats are of wonderful needle worker quality. They are done with a Berlin style floral pattern using all wool tapestry yarn with the continental stitch. The gimp around the seat is new and of a deep merlot colour. Total height is 37" approx. Pair Meeks Carved Rosewood Victorian Parlor Chairs Gold Seats Curved Backs
Offered here for auction is a Pair of Meeks Carved Rosewood Victorian Parlor Chairs. I left these fabulous pair of chairs just as I found them in their original condition. These chairs are in Very Good condition for their age with some minor flaws which is to be expected. I will describe these flaws to the best of my ability. Please use all my photos as part of my description. One of these chairs has a tiny piece of wood missing on the front at the very top shown in photos with a pencil. This same chair has a small brush mark on the curve of wood in front(also in photos) And some minor brush marks on the top back of chair. This chair has a tiny piece of wood on the underneath of it which has become loose, but still in tact. The second chair has a small crack on the back side at the top(see last photo) The back bottom of the leg of this chair ... morehas approximately a 3" span where black electrical tape has been wrapped around it(see photo) This piece of tape appears to have been wrapped around it for a very long time, therefore I left it as found. Both chairs are very sturdy for their petite size, including the chair with the tape on it. I have probably over described the flaws these chairs have, which would be easy fixes for a professional woodworker. Both of these chairs have their original damask silk gold fabric on them which is also in excellent condition. These chairs measure 34" tall and 16" in diameter around their cushion. Matched pair Victorian empire transitional walnut chairs parlor chair suite set
Victorian balloon back chairs from the 18 sixty's or early 1870s era these are walnuts and in extremely good condition they do have old finish. These are upholstered in greenish cut velvet I also have a set that is in a blue velvet material that matches these both are being sold in sets of 2. The last photo shows them with one of the blue chairs for sale so you can see they match perfectly. Both chairs have no breaks and are extremely tight with no visible repairs. They do have some scuffing and wear to the finish as you can see in the photos. Offered for sale is a set of 3 Victorian Parlor Chairs circa 1875. Beautiful walnut eagle carved crest over rest and tufted backs and arms. Covered in a true Victorian color the pinkish velvet- in excellent condition with no issues that I can see. These rare and gorgeous antiques are close to 150 years old. These chairs offer the opulence and grandeur of the Victorian era and will surely make a grand statement in any home. We are pleased to be offering today a very nice set of Victorian parlor chairs. If needed. We could assist with shipping or delivery. Ask for shipping cost by UPS. 2 piece set- Antique Victorian Parlor Chairs with Carved Wood Trim. Each has the detailed wood carving of the Jenny Lind style face and head(an image is included to show a similar carving of a Jenny Lind head) A very interesting characteristic. And tribute after the Civil War period. The set has been re-covered and is in pretty nice condition. All the woodwork is in overall good condition.no apparent rips or tears in upholstery. They chairs were recently re-upholstered in a yellow/gold velvet. One of the balloon-back side chairs does have a loose joint on the upper right side. The two sections of wood have separated there. A temporary repair was made with a wood-adhesive. Wood ... moretrim might have some nicks or light scratches. Not noticeable, as you can see from the photos. They really do make a nice seating group of the Victorian era. Please note that antiques are not new and may have some signs of age and use. This adds to the charm and character and shows it's history. MEASUREMENTS- Two side curved"Balloon-back" side chairs- They are the same size. The back frame has a burl wood. They are tight and sturdy. Except one has the upper back joints that need re-glueing. The size of the chairs are a total of 19 inches wide, 21 inches deep(with rear slanted/angled frame) 37 inches high to the carved crest, and approximately 18 inches high to the seat.
