The chair has a lovely cross-stitch upholstery on the seat, and a nice padded, tufted velvet back. The fabric is very faded and is worn, particularly at the bottom of the back, and will most likely need to be redone. The seat is in good condition, with no holes or tears, however, there are some stains on it that may not clean out, and the fabric is a bit faded. There are some light surface scratches on the wood portions of the chair as well, but it is in over-all good condition, especially considering that it is most likely more than 100 years old.

This authenticated antique desk and chair has hand carvings throughout the entire desk even including the back. There are 5 carved open compartments for organizing and a hidden drawer that opens the full length of the desk with 4 divided sections inside. The center disposal is the original period velvet sack with a hanging cord attached to a lovely ivory pearl stone set within a bronze circular ring with designs. A walnut wood weight is attached. Hand wood carvings include 2 beautiful ladies protruding from sides of desk and removable cupid on the top that is attached to the lid that covers the compartment where the clock sits. The clock has 3 different hand designs and incased in bronze. The face is a natural cream ivory? porcelain with black Roman numerals. The face is aged with some hairlines but the numerals are bold without any color loss. The clock has 2 front legs and a weighted bronze pendulum that you can view from the photo. It does move side to side and I hear ticking but is in need of adjusting. The clock is original and fits perfect to view from a circular opening made for it within the desk. This all original desk is in very good condition without repairs. It is hard to believe there are only two tips missing from the delicate finials. Located on left side underneath the desk and on the right side bottom between the legs. You will need to really search in the pictures because they are very hard to find. It is very rare to find a set. How fortunate to have this elaborate matching chair with velvet padded seat in such wonderful condition. The carvings are amazing and please view the lion and the Fiorentino symbol on the back of the chair. In my 30 years of experience I have never seen a desk set like this. It was purchased on the east coast by my mother-in-law in the 1950's and has been in the family ever since. It has the bamboo carved legs and shaved saddle seat. The back is 34 1/2 inches high. The seat is 15 1/2 inches high and 15 1/2 inches wide. The only thing she's done to it is dust it. It is structurally sound. I'm not sure what kind of wood this is, but it looks like fruit wood and it is probably English, considering the subject of the lion carved on the back. You can see the old-fashioned nail heads throughout. All legs, sides and front of chair are carved. ANTIQUE 19C FRENCH EARLY CHAIR~LOVELY CARVED WOOD~NEEDLEPOINT UPHOL SEAT NEW~NR
This is a wonderful old French chair that came from an estate and I just had to have it reupholstered due to how sweet it was. It originally has a caned seat and there were a couple small holes. So I had this wonderful needlepoint and decorated it my way. It now is comfortable and even more usable due to its height from the floor. Age is approximately late 1700s. Early 1800s. The wood, I am not sure of because the French used many different woods and this is so old and dark, but my best guess is rosewood. My antique friend has confirmed the same conclusion. The chair measures 32 1/2 inches high back from floor to top, and the seat is 17 1/2 inches wide by 16 1/2 inches deep. From floor to seat is 18 1/2 inches. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of antique corner chairs. The chairs feature ornately carved wood frames with strong French characteristics in the patterns. They have a black. High sheen, painted finish(lacquered? The curved vertical back supports feature a dimensional, carved acanthus leaf design on both the front and back face profile. The corner and side legs are turned wood with a small fluted section. They are adorned with a three flower medallion at their mid point. The seat frames are skirted and feature very ornate, scrolled acanthus leaves which connect in the center to form a fleur de lis accent. The seats and the top, curved back frame are fabric covered. This has been re-upholstered at some point. The fabric is a chenille/velvet style(plush) and is burgundy red. It is trimmed with black bric-a-brac. Beautiful antique Victorian period oversized arm chair Beautiful antique Victorian period oversized arm chair ~ also known as a throne chair. C. 1890. Solid carved wood frame ~ wood is believed to be walnut, and upholstered in light burgundy or dark raspberry colored velvet fabric. The wood has magnificent carved details both on the inside of the arms, as well as all other exposed wood areas. Please review all photographs provided, as they show more detail. The top crest rail has a center stylized carved clamshell. The knuckles of the arms are detailed with carved. Layered acanthus leaves. The two front legs have trumpeted baluster formation, with metal casters at the bottom. The front nose rail(bottom front) of the chair is heavily carved with scrolled detail. up for bid is an antique wood carved chair. leather and horse hair seat. the brass tacks need to be removed and a new piece of leather can go on top to fix the seat. I was going to have it done but it was cool that you can see the horse hair in it and I like to leave the items as I receive them. The one support leg that looks"bowed" is one complete board. no cracks. a nice solid chair. The chair came from an estate sale of one of the brothers of P.C. Richards( which P.C. Richards is well known out here on Long Island) other than that I really don't know about the chair. chair measures 33.5" tall and the seat is 16"x 15.5" A nice antique chair. We are pleased to offer this BEAUTIFUL antique. Dining or fireside/accent chair(we have 4 available) The chair dates from the mid 1800s and features ELABORATE carving. It is either walnut or oak and retains the very dark, original, stained finish. The back of the chair is arched and deeply carved/incised with an acanthus scroll and rope pattern. Atop the center arch is a clover leaf, gothic cross. On each side of the chair back is a carved lion head finial. These are extremely detailed and feature a roaring(open mouth) lion head. The lion detail continues to the front of the chair. Detailed, carved paw feet accent the front legs. The paw design is on the front and side profiles of the feet with the back profile smooth. The chair has GORGEOUS. Vintage fabric. The fabric is soft, almost like a very short nap chenille. It is a deep crimson red ... morewith a unique pattern. The pattern features large, golden bees. It also features laurel wreaths. The wreaths are tonal with the red fabric and are only visible in certain light. It is a very interesting fabric. The chair is in very good condition for its age. Really nice antique Victorian or Eastlake needlepoint armchair from the 1800s. This piece has nice carved. And burl wood accents. The wood looks to be walnut. Upholstery is in excellent shape, as well as the bones of the chair. The chair is still able to be sat in without issue. There are no cracks, breaks, or loose joints that I could find. Due to this piece being older you probably could find some sign of wear, but it will be hard to find. I am helping a friend sell this piece. It has been in his family for many many years. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL 19th century chair(2 available) The chair features heavily carved. Walnut frame. It is a high back design with a slightly Gothic profile. The back is open in a Ladder Back fashion with a large, rounded medallion at the tops. The rounded sections are arched and scalloped on their lower sections. It is exquisitely carved in an intricate urn and floral pattern which is similar to that of the French Brittany style. A carved, scalloped design is also present. The lower cross"ladder" supports are arched, with the arches notched in a flower petal design, and have a center carved fan shaped accent. The upper side supports feature sections of elongated turned wood and unique finials. The legs are turned wood with both upper and lower supports. The front legs are accented with double turned wood supports ... moreas well as an upper support which repeats the design of the ladder back pieces. The rush seat is original and features thick fibers which are assembled in 4 distinct, triangular patterns. The chair is in very good condition for age.
