Father-and-son furniture manufacturers in Austria in the late 19th ... moreand early 20th century. The chair is approx. 28 3/4" high. 28 3/4" from front to back of the rocker and about 16 1/2" wide in the front. Two of the Kohn labels appear on the chair bottom(see photos) There is also another label but it looks as if it was handwritten and it is no longer legible. I do not know what kind of wood it is made from. The chair has two big problems. The biggest is that the left front leg has broken at the base. By the rocker. There was a screw holding it together here but it has come apart. The other problem is that the curved support underneath the back of the chair has cracked. So far it is still holding together. I don't know if these are"fatal" flaws– I am hoping someone with knowledge could repair these defects and have a beautiful chair. Otherwise. The chair is in good condition. The finish has some scrapes and scratches. Maybe a candidate for refinishing? The upholstery is in very good shape– just some slight fraying on the seat. I don't know if it is original or not. I am not sure exactly how old the chair is. The Kohns formed their partnership in 1867 but I am not sure how long the company lasted. I found references to their pieces from as late as the 1920s. I have the chair marked as"pickup only" because I am afraid in its current state it would not survive shipping. I have many other antique and vintage items listed on eBay as well. Late 1800's Solid Oak Lace Caned Seat Rabbit Ear Chairs Dining No Reserve
You are bidding on a set of six early solid oak chairs probably date in the late 1800's. Right when oak was becoming popular. They have solid oak backs where lots of oak chairs have laminated backs and the carving is cut into the wood instead of being pressed into the back, alas the name"pressed back chairs. These chairs have laced cane seats, in other words, each strand of the seat is laced into othe seat by hand. This is expensive and time comsuming. The seats recaned would probably cost half of what I am selling them for. The chairs are tight, all cane is good, finish is a nice medium oak color, could't find anything wrong with them. The spindles are very interesting also. They have the rabbit ear posts and are just a very complementary chair for any decor. Email me with any questions or concerns. Pair of Early American 2 Rung Ladder Back Chairs Late 1800's Dr. Kiel Rawhide
This pair of ladder back. Rawhide woven seat chairs were handcrafted by craftsmen from the Aurora Colony in the late 1800’s. The back of the chairs are marked“HCH” which stands for Hutchinson Community Hospital that was a maternity hospital in Oregon City, Oregon in 1918 and later became Willamette Falls Hospital, now owned by Providence Medical Group. These chairs were in the possession of a relative whose grandmother was a nurse at that Hutchinson Community. The chairs are in good condition. All original. One has a very small amount of wiggle to it and looks to have been repaired with a few nails at some point. They are lovely accent pieces for a rustic décor/Old Camp Style.

LATE 1800's PAIR OF ENGLISH THAMES VALLEY CHAIRS WINDSOR STYLE.A beautiful pair of Huzinger chairs from late 1800's. The seats have been refurbished probably in the 50's with suede and the set is just beautiful. One of the best antique pieces I have ever had. The chairs measure 29" in height. 16" in depth and 20.5" in width. Normal wear for their age with the patina which I don't intend to touch. Availalble in our store in Burbank for viewing. Only local pick-up but we can help with shipping working with the buyer to find a shiiping method. We prefer the buyer to make the arrangements!

Victorian walnut his and hers parlor chairs late 1800
I am selling a nice pair of carved walnut Victorian parlor chairs. These chairs are in great condition for their age. I have had these for 20 years. And they currently are placed in my sitting room adjacent to my bedroom. I use them for decoration purposes only, though they are quite comfortable. The upholstery is in good vintage condition. Please take a look at the images and feel free to ask all questions. I purchased these from a private person who brought them over here from the East Coast. They have slightly different details in the wood carvings. Especially at the bottom of the chair. See those close-ups. Happy to send you more images. The"His" chair is a little rough underneath the wood carving on the bottom underneath the seat. You can see that on the closeups. Other than that, they are in really good condition.
