Antique French Renaissance"Hall Chairs" Circa 1830 This pair of oak hall chairs have been refinished and re-upholstered back to their original grandeur using all of the original hardware and wood. The seat and back padding has the original straw.Horsehair and wool and the original burlap strapping is on the under-carriage. Even the original hand-made tacks were used to fasten the fabric to the frame. The vinyl fabric and silver buttons on the exterior are the only new items on these chairs. One of the chairs looks like it has been shortened sometime in the past making it 1 1/2" shorter then its mate. One chair stands 35 1/2" tall and the other stands 34" tall.
