Condition: Used Location: Chicago, United States Available is an antique Heywood Wakefield Victorian wicker chair. It is not a reproduction. I don't know the year it was made. But I was told by an ... moreexperienced antique dealer that it was 19th century. Condition is good. I don't want the chair to sound worse than it is, but I also want to describe any condition issues. It does have a few minor breaks in the gingerbread filigree, but they are very few and very minor and could easily be repaired. I have enjoyed the chair as it is. Considering its age, the chair is in great condition. If I live to be as old as this chair I hope I am in this good condition! The chair measures about 42 inches tall to the top of the chair, the front to back width is about 22 inches, while the left to right width is about 20 inches. Here is a description of the breaks. I don't want this to sound worse than it is. But I want to be accurate. See photos as well. The damage is minor, and mostly is to the curly-cue decorations. It appears that they could be glued. In the case of a missing piece, it would involve a piece of cane and beads. Here it is: at top of the back of seat there is a break at the left and right side. Some wicker"ties" that hold the decorations together are missing. In the middle, there are 2 breaks in the gingerbread, but these could be glued. On the opposite side there is a piece of missing cane and beads. I have seen replacement beads for sale, as well as cane. The wood seat is warped, but I was able to sit in the chair. The seat is still serviceable, but you may want to replace it either with wood or cane. If the chair is turned over the original cane is visible, so this once had a cane seat. There is one curly-cue on the back of the leg that is broken, but it could be glued. As can be seen in the photos, there is some paint loss, however that is to be expected. The wicker underneath on the leg is in fine condition. I am willing to work with you on shipping. However I have made this customer pick-up. To be shipped, this would have to be sent in a

Victorian Antique Ordway Platform Rocker Wicker In Fine Condition 1890's
WELCOME FRIENDS! This antique Ordway platform rocker was originally made in the early 1900s by the A.H Ordway& Co. in South Farmingham Massachusetts. Located on the bottom of the chair is a paper label still visible denoting its authenticity and origin. In terms of condition this piece has been kept in a very good state for something of its age and was obviously only used as a decorative piece. There is minor scuffing on at the foot of the chair as see in the photo but overall there is little to no damage on the sections of wicker. I can see two small old breaks. The artistry and expertise only found at the level Ordway brought to the furniture profession is conveyed beautifully in this example of early 1900s American wicker working. Along with the paper tag on the bottom cross section of the chair there is also documentation regarding ... moreits sale on July 18th. 1983 by the Margot Johnson, Inc of"Fine 19th Century American Antiques" for a total of $1.850.00. Antique Wicker Rocker Chair approximately 100 years old
When I got this chair on the bottom the label stated it's a Ford Johnson Fiber Rush The Original Genvine Fiber Rush Furniture. Which made furniture from 1897 to 1911 before being sold to Midland Chair which was later sold to another company in 1916. Ford and Johnson and Midland are the only manufactures listed on the label which should age this chair to 100 years old. It's very sturdy. I was washing it off and the label disintegrated, but I took a picture of it before so that I can research the piece. It is pick up only in the Tulsa, OK area. One of the dowel rods underneath the seat has been zip tied as it has a crack. I have debated replacing it, but wanted to first see if someone was interested in it as is. It was painted white at some point which a lot of the paint flaked off when I hosed it off. The material wicker or rattan ... moretype material is very sturdy.

A hand made wicker rocker from the 1840' 1870'All in original and good condition.The detailing and design here are fabulous!This measures 42" high,28" across the arms and a 36" rocker span.The seat is very solid with no repairs,sagging,etc. at all.This is excellent, still in very usable condition with the original patina.The rockers are firm,solid, with no breaks,cracks,repairs or splits.I have used this many a time and it sits and rocks comfortable with no cushions needed. Stiles and arms are wrapped in wicker. There is wood carved finials on top of each stile that look like they are wicker wrapped but the lines are actually carved into the wood. Each section of the back splat has a nice woven design. There is a 1 inch area on the crest rail that is missing the wicker wrap as well as an 2 inch area on the left ... morearm and 2 places on the right arm, one is 1 inch the other is ½ inch. The cane seat is in great condition and the oak wood has a wonderful patina. This chair is in excellent condition. I do not know the exact date it was made however it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know who the maker is. Judging by the wear and beautiful allegatoring I’m confident the finish is original. The wicker seat is in excellent condition, although a bit dusty. Construction seems to be of maple. If I can call any area of antique furnishings my‘expertise’ It is certainly not this period or style. Antique Wooden Wicker Bottom Child's Rocker
What we have here is a very nice antique child's wicker bottom rocker. The rocker has a note on the bottom that it was given to a two-year-old child in 1884. Looking at the chair the right rocker has been replaced with a Oak rocker. Whoever replaced the rocker knew what they were doing and it has been there for a very long time.
