OUTSTANDING CIRCULAR VICTORIAN FOOT STOOL WITH BURL WOOD & INLAY BASE c.1870
What a beautiful foot stool. Just over 12 inches diameter with 5" height. I would replace cushion and fabric to make a little puffier for about 6" height. And redoing the fabric will be so easy.on the bottom is a wood nut over a wood threaded screw. Just that easy to release the top and redo the fabric. Looks like the original finish. the bun feet are glass or ceramic.I saw another identical stool on ebay with the same bun feet that are missing the original color(they were just white) and it was also missing veneer. Each of these chairs measures 41 inches high from the floor to the top of the fancy carved back. Today I am offering a beautiful set of six antique victorian chairs.These were just purchased from a estate in PA.These chairs appear to be oak and have carved designs.You can see the grain in the wood.All the seats are in very good condition.Expect a scratch here,and there are some spots with small chips in the wood.There are two parts of darker wood in the design,I believe it is a burl walnut inlay.The caned seats are stitched on not pressed.I am not an expert on furniture,so please feel free to email me with any information or questions.Free pick up,we are about 3.5 hrs from NYC,and about 1.5 hrs from Philadelphia.I contacted a local shipper,he said it would be around $250 to ship these,an extra $75 for a lift gate,I can give you his number if you like.Rare to find these in a set and in this good condition.

FINE Antique CARVED WOOD Needlepoint ARM CHAIR Burl Inlay; Eastlake Victorian
Really nice antique Victorian or Eastlake needlepoint armchair from the 1800s. This piece has nice carved. And burl wood accents. The wood looks to be walnut. Upholstery is in excellent shape, as well as the bones of the chair. The chair is still able to be sat in without issue. There are no cracks, breaks, or loose joints that I could find. Due to this piece being older you probably could find some sign of wear, but it will be hard to find. I am helping a friend sell this piece. It has been in his family for many many years. He is an older gentleman so he will not be able to move the chair around. But I live close by to assist if needed. The chair measures 23 1/2" wide, 21" deep, 40" tall. 15 1/2" tall to the seat. Petite Antique Victorian Walnut & Burl Platform Rocker rocking chair
I have up for sale a gorgeous vintage circa 1860s to 1880s Antique Victorian Walnut DIMINUTIVE SIZE platform rocker. This rocker is a petite size- basically for a woman or smaller framed person. It is lower from the ground to the seat than most rockers of this type and somewhat more narrow than a conventional platform rocker. One of my later pics shows the rocker next to a large Hunzinger Platform rocker and in another pic next to a pair of Victorian Side Chairs- this will help with get an idea of just how big/small this item is. Its almost like what I would call a youth size. More for a petite woman or a smaller framed man- definitely not for any one who is heavy or tall. So please keep that in mind if you want to purchase the item. The rocker stands approx 35" at the back- highest point.Approx 20" across the top wood section. ... moreThe seat is 17" from the ground- so it is lower than most rockers. I have up for sale a gorgeous matching pair of Antique circa 1870s or there abouts Victorian Walnut Side Chairs. Very unusual upper section featuring carved serpents. The chairs are walnut with burl veneer accents. Eastlake spoon carving and ball top finials. The chairs are in Superb Condition- appear to have been refinished and reupholstered at sometime in the past. This would have been done many years back as the lovely woman that I purchased these from was well into her 80s and probably done this back in the 50s at the time when they moved into their home. They were cherished and extremely well cared for any use wear is most meager-condition wise impossible to get any better than this. The chairs each stand approx 38" tall.Approx 19" wide across the front of the set, approx 18" from the ground to the top of the seat, approx ... more18-3/4" across the wood frame on the top of the chairs back. The wood is in excellent shape, appear to have been refinished by someone who really knew what they were doing. Any wear is most minor- no real issues. With all this said- these are not chairs intended to be used by someone of extreme weight or size. This 19th century rocker offers lovely period incised. Spoon and geometric carvings with the original porcelain casters intact on the base. The vintage fabric is a beautiful biscuit colored damask and is in wonderful condition, however apparently the gimp was applied with some sort of glue that has turned brown with age and does show thru the gimp in some areas here and there which I have tried to show in the pictures. Someone has even reupholstered and re-cushioned it previously. The fabric is a pink color that is in outstanding condition and it is prepared for decades of comfortable use.
