Antique Childs Kids Shaker Style Rocking Chair Rare Woven Seat Original Finish
Amazing Early Child's Rocking Chair with Woven Seat Up for sale is the best Child's Rocker that I have ever come across. This piece is absolutely amazing. I can not find a makers mark anywhere on it but I have taken 12 high quality pictures that show exactly what the chair looks like. I took close up's of the joints and construction details as well as the woven slat seat and the early designed Finals. I can not find another chair that looks exactly like this for comparison so I am listing it as"shaker style" because that is the closest design it matches. If I am way off and you know for sure more about this chair than I. I would welcome the input. I did not have a tape measure handy. But I will be adding the dimensions of the chair within a day or so. Chair is solid. No damage that needs to be repaired. Does have some ... moresmall cracks/ age/ stress marks from age and prior use(see pictures) Looks to me to be the original finish. Once again. I took a lot of high quality pictures so please look at them for determining condition. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by my auction. I will have another kids rocking chair up for auction this weekend and I also have quite a few other Vintage and Antique items online and I add 3-4 just about every day as I am clearing out stock from my Antique Store. Antique Primitive 19th Century Small Shaker Rocking Chair in Untouched Condition
This is a 19th century small Shaker rocking chair in its original untouched condition. It is estimated that the chair was made between 1820-1860. The smaller size implies it was probably made for either a child or elderly woman to be used on a front porch. It has one repair as shown in the pictures. The chair is still stable and usable. The acorn finials are large[early design] It has a 3 slat back and the woven seat has some small damage(see pictures) The chair is made from very light wood, possibly spruce. It may be picked up locally in Boca Raton, FL or you may request a shipping quote. Will accept Paypal or cash at pickup.

Authentic Antique Shaker Rocking Chair Ohio Primitive Vintage 1800s
Antique Shaker Rocking Chair Dimensions: Back 33 1/2" Approx. 13" x 15" Seat, Seat is Approx. 15"16" off ground. This beautiful old rocking chair has been in our family for generations. I believe it came from the Ohio Region. However I am not certain about that. The chair has been painted, and I'm not certain when. You can see green paint under the paint in numerous places(see photos) The seat is fairly aged, and we have not had anyone sit in it for decades. Please see photos for condition, and feel free to ask questions. I also have a shaker chair listed in another Auction.
Antique Canterbury or Enfield Shaker Rocking Chair 1880
This Shaker chair is a rare form from either the Canterbury Shakers or the Enfield Shakers. Those two settlements in New Hampshire were the only ones that used this incised finial. The rocker features a spindle back with traditional mushroom capped arms. The chair has the original/ traditional black over red milk paint surface. Completely untouched. The tape seat is light green, brown, with a salmon stripe(not the original tape) This chair was an elders chair and not constructed for the"Outside World" for sale, as the color and construction are of traditional settlement chairs. Circa 1880 Note: The chair has 2 damaged seat stretchers(back and right side) The stretcher can be pulled out and repaired. The back seat stretcher has been removed and repaired but not replaced. There are a few small furniture nails in it as well. This could ... morebe a museum quality piece. With a small amount of time put in it. This chair(along with a good deal of my other Shaker pieces) was purchased from a very know shaker dealer. 100% authentic. The chair offers everything you need to see in a good original shaker piece and the surface is unreal! Dimensions: 39 1/2" tall x 14" seat height x 29" depth x 22" wide. Antique, Primitive Childs Rocking Chair, Shaker, Cane, Wood Woven Seat & Back
I don't know much about this chair so I have something wrong. Feel free to let me know. It's a very solid chair with great design and hand done ornamentation. Very simple with lightly carved spindle ends and woven back and seat. Judging by the wear I'm guessing it's over 100 years old. The weave is in good shapeand all joints are very solid. I believe it's made of maple or poplar. Aged very well and sits straight and strong. Wood on most of it appears to be hand carved and worked. You can see some areas had painted or stained accent areas that have faded. Chair is about 2 feet tall and rocker rails are also about 2 ft long. Looks like it would be for a toddler. Low reserve or Buy it Now. Thanks for looking!

This is a late 19th or early 20th century Shaker style armchair. It has mushroom caped arms. A woven splint seat, turned legs, round finials, and an excellent old patina. The chair is 35.75"H, 22.5"W, 21.5 D, with a 16.75" seat height. There are traces of an old red finish at the joinery. I can find no makers marks or numbering so I am unsure of the chair's origination or exact age. There is no movement in the joinery, and the chair is sturdy and strong, easily supporting my 230 pounds. Please do not hesitate to contact me for questions. Antique Shaker Style Childs Arm Chair with Rushed Seat
Oak and Pine( construction. Has original finish. I can not speak to the date of the rush on the seat. However; it appears to be old and may be contemporary with the chair. The chair was in one family from the time that it was purchased, but there are no records to authenticate it's maker or purchase date. The seat was covered with a small pillow for many years, and the chair sat in a hallway away from sunlight, both of which contribute to it's excellent condition. The only issue that I am aware of is that the chair had metal nail on feet. Which were added at one point and then later removed.

Antique 1840s Shaker Early Tilter Side Chair Mt Lebanon New York Unrestored
Antique 1840s EARLY Tilter Side Chair Mt Lebanon New York Unrestored Condition Welcome to my auction! Check out my feedback and bid with confidence. A trustworthy ebayer since 1998. This is a very rare tilter side chair from Mt Lebanon New York Shaker Community. It has a natural tilt back feature built into the chair. It was my great great grandmother's chair and has been in this family since it was new. She was less than 5 feet tall and this chair is small. It was probably her mothers chair who was born in Fishkill. New York area around 1810. She probably brought it with her to Indiana and eventually Illinois in the early 1850s. It is in unrestored condition and as you can see from the photos, it appears to have a very early seat with original stuffing or padding. There ia a lot of darkess from hands touching the chair over the years. ... moreSomeone has made a few repairs here and there. Several members of my family were carpenters by trade. There is also a metal clip been routed into each leg. I do not know if this is original. Check the photographs. Also, realize that the chair is frail and wobbles a bit. If you actually wanted to sit in it, it should be reglued. Shipping is free in the continental United States. No Alaska, Hawaii or International sales please. Measures 35 inches high on left. 34 3/4 inches on the right. Front of seat is 18 inches wide. Back tapers to 14.5 inches. 17 inch high front legs. Seat is 13 inches deep. Will be packed in foam in a sturdy box and shipped via FedEx. Return Policy: We always honor a 14-day return on our items. And guarantee them to be as described. shaker rocking chair, #7, Watervliet colony, old black paint
Found this Shaker rocking chair at a yard sale in Reading. Vt. My brief research indicates that it was probably made at the Watervliet Colony. I could find no label but the"7" is stamped into the top splat(back side) Has old black paint on it that has been worn through to a green underneath in several spots. Is the green original? I'm not sure BUT the black paint is finely crazed all over indicating good age to the green. The rounded nipple type finials seem to be a Watervliet characteristic, although I'm pretty rusty on ID'ing Shaker furniture. Condition is excellent. Rockers are secured with wooden pegs or dowels. No pegs at junction of top splat and rear stiles. Seat is cane or reed- I don't believe that its original but has been on there for a long time. The seat is not perfect as can be seen in the photos but ... moreis completely serviceable. Measures about 41" tall as the chair sits and about 25" across the arms at the widest point. No breaks, losses or missing parts. Beautiful original mushroom arm caps. The wood that I can see appears to be maple.Very fair"buy it now" price with a low opening bid. Please ask questions. A well informed buyer is a happy buyer. GUARANTEED as represented, as always. PLEASE NOTE: Shipping costs will be determined according to location. Shaker Chair Western Settlements c 1830
Greetings. This is a Shaker chair from the Ohio region. As a result of missionaries expanding West. Shaker faith, and consequently, architecture and Shaker-craft techniques, resulted from this proselytized faith in Ohio and Kentucky. This chair is from that region. My great-grandparents lived in Ohio and the chair has been in my family(admittedly mostly in Barns. Storage, or the attic) as a too-sentimental-to-discard item. Luckily, that has kept if from serving as kindling wood. All wood pegged construction with some steel(later) reënforcing: but in all respects extremely original. The upper. Lower, and mid rails possess the subtle and delightful spacing ratios that create such and artistic elevation; the stretches have wonderful wear from decades and decades of use. The caning has begun to tear apart. As the images show, at the base ... moreand the top panels are very good in two instances, fair on one, poor in one. I assume one would not replace this but restore it where possible. One of the uprights has a sheer crack following the grain. The upright itself is fine and strong. But the split into the upright(though it follows the grain) is not insignificant. In the other upright, just above the seat, a curved sectional chunk(also following the grain of the wood) is cut away. Both these damages are very old; there is no contemporary damage. This chair has not even been used for at least 50 years. The patina is quite beautiful in many areas. But simply worn to the wood in others. In a super modern setting the chair is quite stunning, but in a period setting it looks forlorn! Approximate Measurements as follow: Total height: 39 inches Width at front; 18" Width at back: 14" Seat height: 16" Thank you for looking. I do not know much additional history. In family a long time and definitely not a reproduction of any kind. Careful packing and shipping 85.00 anywhere continental USA: rest of world at cost. Check my feedback- enjoy the day. Offers gladly considered. Posted with

SHAKER ROCKER CHAIR Low Profile Mother's Cradle Chair, Spinning Wheel Chair plus
Here is a very old SHAKER(I believe) women's chair for various basic uses. This is a low profile wood chair uniquely constructed for the mother to tend to her child in the cradle. This is before"cribs" and the low chair offered comfort and some ease with nursing or tending to the needs of their child. Another use was while sitting at the spinning wheel for that tedious task. In my research I found the following descriptions regarding other low profile rocking chairs: Small scale low rocker called a nursing rocker or sewing rocker became popular in the 19th century as a chair devoted entirely to feminine tasks. Since this rocker has a seat size for an adult and is of low profile I believe this is what was described above. Though I cannot confirm that nor that is is a SHAKER chair. It really appears to be and sure fits that type ... moreof a description. If you know of more specific information on this style of chair I'd appreciate your sharing it with me and the Ebay community. Notice the detailed construction and the style rockers which seems very unusual to me. So unique yet very simple in design. This will make a fabulous display piece for that special area in your home. Business, lake home, camp etc. The dimensions are approximately 30-1/2" from the bottom of the rocker to the top of the back, 22-3/4" from the bottom of the rocker to the top of the left arm(front) 13" from the bottom of the rocker to the top edge of the seat, The left rocker is 25" long(front to back) and 3-1/3" wide at the widest part, the seat is about 15-3/4" front to back and 19-1/4" wide(right to left at the first arm post) All the spindles(backs& arms) are solid, no cracks or breaks, the seat and rockers and their spindles are tight and in very good condition. All in all this is a very nice rocker in exceptional condition considering it's estimated age. Please study the pictures carefully as they are a major part of this description.
