For sale set of 2 Nice English chairs- One of them is rocking chair. The rocking chair has 2 wheels at the front. The other chair does not has wheels. I am not sure if they were removed. These chairs are lower than normal. They are very comfortable. The wood crave are nice and heavy. The previous owner explained that people back then were smaller than now. Set of four antique Victorian walnut-frame side chairs with wool needle point seats. Each chair has a different floral seat design on either a maroon or ivory background. Needlepoint may be more recent. Seat coverings attached with aged brass tacks. Inner springs in seat in great shape. Top rail carved with roses. Scroll work on lower rail. Cabriole front legs with acanthus leaf carving at top. Square. Curved back legs. Each piece stands 33 3/4 inches tall and is 19 1/2 inches deep with a maximum width of 18 inches. Chairs are in very good condition. Some noticeable wear and fading to fabric. Also some wear to corners and edges of wood. Consistent with age. No breaks, repairs or other damage. 2 Vintage French Wingback Chairs w/ottoman to match 1800's reupholstered antique
I was told that these chairs are from the 1800's. And they have been reupholstered. The seats are filled with down feathers. They are in great shape. They are a matching set. Yet one has a bit of slipping of the reupholstery, and held in place with tacks(see close up picture) I don't know anything about them. I would appreciate any feedback as to their origin. Late 1800's Solid Oak Lace Caned Seat Rabbit Ear Chairs Dining No Reserve
You are bidding on a set of six early solid oak chairs probably date in the late 1800's. Right when oak was becoming popular. They have solid oak backs where lots of oak chairs have laminated backs and the carving is cut into the wood instead of being pressed into the back, alas the name"pressed back chairs. These chairs have laced cane seats, in other words, each strand of the seat is laced into othe seat by hand. This is expensive and time comsuming. The seats recaned would probably cost half of what I am selling them for. The chairs are tight, all cane is good, finish is a nice medium oak color, could't find anything wrong with them. The spindles are very interesting also. They have the rabbit ear posts and are just a very complementary chair for any decor. Email me with any questions or concerns. Cheap 1800's pair of Renaissance-Revival Chairs with needlepoint seats.
I don't deal in furniture so I don't know anything about antique furniture. A friend told me they are a pair of pair of Renaissance-Revival Chairs with needlepoint seats. the one back board is broken at the top and bottom and someone tried to glue the top back in place so some of that board does have glue on it. also a small piece of wood is chipped out on the side of the same chair. other then that I don't see any problems. need any additional photos let me know

The Seats are Original and in pretty good condition. I cleaned them and glued a few loose pieces back into place and they look good. I strengthened all four chairs using 3" recessed screws covered with maple plugs for an original look. Each chair is slightly different than the other with different turnings on each one. Indicating they are not factory made but primitive early era furniture. These wonderful chairs measure approximately 33 inches tall by 17 inches wide by 14 inches deep with a seat bottom height from floor of 16 inches. They each weigh approximately 10 pounds by themselves without any packing materials or 20 pounds total for the both of them. Here's what I stated about these marvelous chair's condition: Pair of early 1800s chairs shows very aged dark patina with one chair having the painted artwork on the seat backs worn away to be barely visible. Antique Chairs Early 1800's Federal Empire Wood Saddle Seat Pair Rare Sturdy
Charming pair of early American chairs. Original finish. One chair is perfect. One has some very old damage to the front slat below the seat. They are untouched, and very solid and sturdy. The damage can be repaired or left as is. It doesn't really matter structurally. According to Biddinton's Patent Service website, furniture patents started in 1836. These chairs both have 340 on the bottom. Patent numbers for 1837 range from 110-545. They are very dark, perhaps mahogany. The seat looks like chestnut. They measure, 38" T, seat 14"W 14 3/4"D, back 9 1/4" W, 17 1/2" floor to seat. Thanks so much for your time!

Clearly Northern Italy with some Austrian influence. One vertical on the back of one chair is clearly marked made in Italy(see last photo) Wonderful hand crafted pieces of solid construction showing time honored techniques. The decorative carvings on the two back splats enhance the lively play and movement within the wood. The solid curved back splat cutting across at a vertical angle is carved with a flower and enhances the fine elegant lines. The middle splat is enhanced with a floral spiral. Beautiful Antique Rocking Chairs- mid 1800's
These two"mom and pop" chairs were passed down in my family from my great-great-great grandparents and German immigrants. Wilhelm and Wilhelmine. I'm not sure about the exact date and origins of the chairs, but they came to America in the mid-1800s. 1860s I think? The smaller"mom" chair(with spindles on the back) has a crack forming on the bottom. Which makes the chair squeak a bit. There is a photo of this. The larger"pop" chair is in great condition, and doesn't squeak at all. Really beautiful antique chairs. And I'd love for them to stay together, if possible. Up for bid is a set of 4 original condition folding carpet camping chairs I am told that these were probably made for a woman because the seats are extra deep for hoop skirts. Civil War era, circa 1860. Patent date for these chairs is 1855, probably made by in NYC by B.J. Harrison and Company. Back is about 30" high unfolded. The seat is 15 1/2" high and 15" deep Chair is 16" wide and 27" high when folded. Handle on the bottom of the back makes it very easy to carry when folded- lightweight and a clever design. Black paint is original and has a great naturally aged crackle patina. The wood and hardware in very good condition considering age and it was made for outdoor use. If these are going to be used the carpet will have to be replaced but shouldn't need any other repairs at all. These are fresh from a local ... moreestate and were stored in the attic for many years. The paint is all original with a small amount of paint loss and a few scratches which can be seen in the photos. These chairs were obviously well taken care of over the years. I have 2 antique wooden chairs for sale. They came from the Franklin County Courthouse in Chambersburg. PA. My father, who worked for the county, got them directly from the courthouse, so they are authentic. Chambersburg burned down in 1864 during the Civil War. So they are from late 1800's. I don't know what kind of wood it is. Beautiful simple design. The curved arms& rounded back are all one piece! There are 2 skinny metal rods between the wooden rods. Very sturdy. Well made chairs, in excellent shape. Surprisingly comfortable to sit in. One chair has a small area(smaller than an inch) of minor damage on the front corner of the seat, where the leg has pushed up underneath. Their origin, etc. What I do know is that they are definitely mid-1800's but I forget the rest of what I was told by the appraisers here in Philadelphia. I should have written it down. These two gorgeous chairs ooze history and t hese two original hand carved chairs may have come over to California by wagon train. They may be American primitive made or even earlier European. Leg placement was changed on one. Obviously well used they have some flaws. Typcal wood used was ash and elm and I believe these to be the woods but am not an expert. One has had two legs replaced long ago and two screws have been used(first photo) The replaced leg carving decoration is slightly different as shown. There is a"bite" to the seat edge of the chair. The other chair has the middle small circle of the Spoke Pattern missing. From Middletown Ca which was settled in 1860 as Guenoc Village. They chairs were recently re-upholstered in a yellow/gold velvet. One of the balloon-back side chairs does have a loose joint on the upper right side. The two sections of wood have separated there. Pair of Early American 2 Rung Ladder Back Chairs Late 1800's Dr. Kiel Rawhide
This pair of ladder back. Rawhide woven seat chairs were handcrafted by craftsmen from the Aurora Colony in the late 1800’s. The back of the chairs are marked“HCH” which stands for Hutchinson Community Hospital that was a maternity hospital in Oregon City, Oregon in 1918 and later became Willamette Falls Hospital, now owned by Providence Medical Group. These chairs were in the possession of a relative whose grandmother was a nurse at that Hutchinson Community. The chairs are in good condition. All original. One has a very small amount of wiggle to it and looks to have been repaired with a few nails at some point. They are lovely accent pieces for a rustic décor/Old Camp Style.

ANTIQUE PIANO/ORGAN- BALL CLAW FOOT- STOOL We acquired this antique stool and the piano that went with it about 45 years ago. This stool was old when we got it back in 1961. It was used by my children growing up and then by my grand-children after them. It was used but not abused. Overall this stool is in good working condition and could be used as is. The seat is about 14" in diameter. Extends from 19" to 22" Apparently the seat was bolted down through the top and then filled and stained(see pics) I am not sure of the wood type, but the stain is a rich mahagany that blends from light to dark on the seat, with the legs, etc. having a darker stain. Beautiful pair of"like new" antique style commercial grade Chippendale guest chairs from retiring lawyer office. Excellent condition. Tight, sturdy, uniform honey maple finish. LATE 1800's PAIR OF ENGLISH THAMES VALLEY CHAIRS WINDSOR STYLE.A beautiful pair of Huzinger chairs from late 1800's. The seats have been refurbished probably in the 50's with suede and the set is just beautiful. One of the best antique pieces I have ever had. The chairs measure 29" in height. 16" in depth and 20.5" in width. Normal wear for their age with the patina which I don't intend to touch. Availalble in our store in Burbank for viewing. Only local pick-up but we can help with shipping working with the buyer to find a shiiping method. We prefer the buyer to make the arrangements!
