And a back cush ion for your needles an d pins. Seat cushion is missing. but if you have fabric. Cotton and a small piece of hard cardb oard or a piece of wood it could easily be repaired) Piece is old. And shows some wear and tear, but what can you expect from a piece this old. Antique Eastlake Parlor Set
Five-piece Eastlake parlor set consisting of one Gentleman's chair. Two Ladies chairs, one settee, and one platform rocker. Wood is walnut with burled walnut decoration, and is in sound condition without any major blemish. The upholstery is in fair condition with only a very small threadbare area in the middle of the settee seat. It is probably sufficient for display, but in need of reupholstering if it's to be used on a daily basis. The set has been appraised at $800 and dates to the 1890s according to the appraiser.

So where do I begin with this item? Well. Rather than calling it a chair I will instead call it a gothic throne- With the beautiful stamped leather seats. take a look at the pictures and you will clearly see why. The carving and the craftsmanship of this throne is nothing short of stunning. The detail is so intricate and incredibly ornate.I believe that it is stained white oak. I've searched the throne over extensively and cannot find a maker's mark or name. I imported them myself from France/Belgium. Some of the back seats needs a little work as you can see in the 5th and 6th picture. Price is for one chair. Lowentraut Glider Rocker - from Wisconsin Chair Co., Port Washington, Wisconsin
Beautiful Lowentraut Glider Rocker. The glider mechanism was patented on May 28. 1888 by George F. Hall of New York. There is a sticker on the underside of the seat which is partially readable"The Wisconsin Chair Co. Port Washington, WI" The seat has the original springs and horse hair tufting. This chair has not been redone and in excellent condition for being about 200 years old. There are no cracks or anything broken. The mechanism is in perfect condition. No rust and works perfectly. The chair seat is a bit lumpy, but you would be too if you were 200 years old. But, not really sure how hold it really is. Local pick up only. However. Delaware Valley 4-Slat Ladder Back Rocking Chair, Late 18th C Antique, Rush Seat
This is a late 18th C Delaware River Valley rocking chair. These chairs were made along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania. New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. They are characterized by the bulbous turnings on the front stretcher, turned front legs, concave and reverse graduated slats and bulbous finials. I suspect that this chair was converted to a rocker in the early 19th C when they became popular. The oak rockers have a great early profile and they were affixed with strong saddle joinery and wooden pegs. The rush seat is old but not original. Likewise, the finish is very old and appropriate, but perhaps not original. This chair is 42.75"H, 24.5"W, 37"D, with a 17" seat height. There appears to be an old repair to the right arm but there is no movement(please see pictures) There is no real joinery movement at all, and ... morethe chair easily supports my 230 lbs. We did nothing to the finish and the chair has a great old patina. It is very likely that this chair has resided in this area(Delaware County, PA) for the last 220+ years. Fine Antique 18th Century American New England Sack Back Windsor Side Arm Chair
Click for a slideshow of detailed pictures! Fine American Sack Back Windsor Arm Chair New England. Possibly Rhode Island c. 1790-1810 Item# 110012ERE02 This is a gorgeous piece with a fine oiled patina. The plank seat is a single solid board of chestnut. Carved for comfort and oval in form with a thin channel along the back outlining the gallery of spindles. A crack is growing along, stopped from the underside with a butterfly dovetail joint. Remnants of a green paint over a milky white paint are visible on the underside of the chair, the white almost certainly being the original color for this chair. The steam bent crest rail wraps around the middle seven spindles, each of which tenon through the crest and poke over the top, before completing on either side in a square tenon through the arm rail. The arm rail is hickory with gorgeous worn ... moregrains, chamfered along the sides with the short spindles and turned red oak arm supports on either side tenoned through and pinned at the top with a split-wedge tenon. The turned red oak arm supports join through the seat. It rests over four ring baluster turned legs with an H-form stretcher. It has a glowing warm patina and outstanding form. Due to it's delicate nature and somewhat loose joints. We would recommend it only for light use and primarily to complete one's collection rather than for functional purposes. If the joints are reglued it would be absolutely suited for careful functional use. Measurements: 22" wide at feet x 22 1/2" total depth(approximate) 15" of depth from front foot to rear foot; 17 1/8" high to seat; 35 5/8" high to crest rail Condition Report: Visually Outstanding Condition Right arm with patch at first spindle. Left arm first spindle with loss from an old split. Little splatters of white paint. Not part of the original finish. Joints slightly loose throughout- without restoration to firm the joints, it should not be used functionally unless it is used very carefully. Seat split repaired with dovetail butterfly joint.

Antique Hand Carved Oriental Throne Chair pre 1900
My grandfather brought two of these remarkable hand carved original antique thrones at about the turn of the century 1900. He hade two daughters and gave one to each. It was my mothers and has sat safely and respectably in our family's home for many years. We have done some research and we bilieve it is from the Dhing Dynasty era. As each piece was made to specifications of the current emporer. It is in excellent shape and was displayed in the homes but not used. The artisan craftmanship of this work of art is amazing and very detailed, The quality of craftmanship is evident. It is a true museum piece that originated from royalty. It is in original condition- never refinished.

Free delivery on the Front Range of Colorado. This listing is for a sewing and/or nursing rocker with cane seat and back. Walnut w/ burled walnut veneer accents. It has a rich, medium walnut patina. This lovely rocking chair was made in America circa 1865-1880. It is considered an American Eastlake Style Rocking Chair. It is in very good condition and quite rare. Underneath the chair, the piece is marked"CA" hand written in big black letters. It is possible this rocker was made in United Kingdom in the four year time period between when the Eastlake style was introduced there before it was known in America. As I stated. Wow. What a find, RARE RARE RARE. Sorry to say but I am not knowledgable to this type of furniture and can not for sure state the type of wood. Several experts have examined these pieces. They too are uncertain. We all feel these are very RARE. As a viewer, if you have knowledge to share we would welcome it. This settee was obtained from a local grand colonial estate. We believe this to be from the early 1800's. The workmanship is magnificent. The carving seems to portray serpents/dragon-like creatures facing each other at the root portion of the pineapple? found at the top. There are a few small cracks and we noted only one scuff. up for auction is a great belter arm chair. it is made of rosewood and features a wonderful pierced carved crest with roses. up for auction is a nice antique roman type bussle chair. it has 6 heads that are lion or griffin and claw feet in the front. i am not sure of what type wood it is made of. it almost looks like mahogany. But i think it is birch or fruitwood. i paid about 500 for this chair quite some time ago and i just had it recently recovered. so the starting price reflects pretty much what i have in it. it is a neat chair with three large heads on the top, the middle one recessed with the curvature of the chair. the top is carved scalloped above the heads, the arm tops are scalloped above the heads at the front of the arm rests. it also has a head in the bottom brace of the seat. nice claw feet with casters. the chair is in near mint condition, a few little bumps here and there, but nothing noteworthy. it is 38 inches tall, 27 wide, the seat is 18 deep, ... moreand it is about 18 inches from floor to the top of the seat. quite a large chair. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyers expense. i can help arrange for shipment if that would be helpful to anyone. good luck.
