About 5.5" across the top, outside edge to outside edge, 3.75" across the inside opening, and 6.75" across the bottom. Antique 1800s C&B Skey Pottery Tamworth Oyster Jar Stoneware Crock England This is an antique stoneware oyster jar made by the George Skey Pottery Tamworth. England, in the late 1800s(1870s 1880s) It is 6.75 inches tall and is pale gray on the bottom and light brown on the top. It bears the Tamworth oval mark and the C& B triangle with square mark. It is in very good condition with no overt damage. There are some black marks or residue on bottom and there is a small chip on bottom edge which appears it could have been a manufacturing defect—I mention only for completeness I do combine shipping to save you money on multiple items.

There are some minor flaws; a flake inside bottom of crock/ pot which can be seen in the pictures. A very minor hairline from top edge; approximately 1-1/4" on the side near one of the handles. Does not reach the handle. Very minor in my opinion. There is some crazing common to a piece of this age. There are some areas of relections in the images, including a grayish cast, sorry. Approximate dimensions: 27" around, just below the handles- 23" around the bottom- 6-1/2" deep- 6-1/4" across the opening- 9-1/4" across handle to handle. This bean pot/ crock is a nice heavy weight. ANTIQUE ROYCROFT ART POTTERY LITTLE BROWN JUG ARTS CRAFTS OVOID STONEWARE CROCK!
I am selling my highly collectible ANTIQUE early's ROYCROFT SHOPS ARTS& CRAFTS ART POTTERY" LITTLE BROWN JUG" As I need to downsize some of my pottery collections. This darling"Little Brown Jug" stands 5" tall X 4" at the widest point of the jug body. The spout sits 7/8" above the body and the handle is large enough to put a fat finger through. The handle sits 1 1/4" out to the side. This little jug is heavy art pottery stoneware in the traditional Arts& Crafts manner with the typical satin matte glaze. The glaze is a rich coffee brown and there are several decorative"rings" under the glaze at the widest point in the body(see photos) This was made by the Roycroft Shops out of Aurora NY in the early 1900's. The jug is marked on the unglazed underside with the Roycroft" ... moreR" in a circle below the stylized cross. The impression of the stamp is not deep. But legible. The jug is in very good antique condition, it is almost 100 years old! There are no cracks, chips or repairs however the rich brown glaze does have a few little"glaze pops" here and there in the glaze only, not the clay. There are three small glaze pops that are the size of a large pin head and another a bit larger, about 1/8" in diameter. Most of these are in one area so the jug will display nicely. They are old glaze pops that are often found on art pottery, as this is the nature of the glaze. This is not considered damage as these"pops" usually occurred during firing and manufacture. The glazes are never smooth and there are usually little lumps and bumps under the glaze. These pops are tiny and well documented in my pictures. Roycroft shops art pottery is highly collectible and this is a nice size. This would look perfect with your other primitives. Mission setting or for display with dried straw flowers. I have a lot of Mission furniture and this is a nice accent piece. This is a thick, heavy little jug, thus the shipping cost. This is a great price as

It is almost 9.5" tall. 5 3/4" acrossed the opening, andabout 7" acoss bottom, I would say this would hold over a gallon, There are no cracks to this crocks sounds great, There is some chipping to the bottom and the underside of the lid, If I am correct these crocks were used for storeing meat, you would fry it and place it in the crock and pour fat drippings over the meat and store in a cool place, you could then pull back some of the fat and get your meat out, then put the fat back on this would keep for a good spell. Lemon Curd, or perhaps Clotted Cream, Dear Collectors, this is a genuine 19th c antique English lustre glazed Preserve Stoneware Crock Jar peculiar to those made across the big pond for food preservation of yesteryear in the British Isles. Every respectable farmstead would sport several in the kitchen and buttery/pantry for daily use and storage of preserved foodstuffs well before the days of modern refrigeration made these charming sturdy stoneware vessels outmoded and relegated to collector status. Quite similar to American Albany slip brown glaze. The exterior of crock is covered lavishly in pearl brown lustre wash glaze giving it a soft lustre reflective pearl shine with life that dances off the surface at all angles. It features twin lug handles at upper side to aid gripping crock during cooking ... morewith a decorative stamped incised single beaded ring running around the upper middle kissing lower handle extensions. It has a most gentle chamfered base bevel, then the bottom is simply unglazed stoneware clay patina. A thick well formed rim likely once had a lid no longer present, but no matter, clean sage gray green glazed interior is happy to hold your wooden spoons and kitchen utensils in period style. Overall it has a tall, slight flared upright shape like a fine pail with great dignity and usefulness to industrious housekeeper.remember Mrs. Bridges from Upstairs, Downstairs? Hudson would approve and no doubt Downton Abbey has a few on display as well. It stands 6.25" tall and 5.75" across open top. I would guestimate, holds about a quart liquid capacity overall. It is in sound fine condition with no damage, no chips, no hairlines. nothing beyond the the usual firing scratch in the making or tiny rough clay blob on rim glazed over. ANTIQUE STONEWARE CROCK Lot of 2 no markings- could be made by LOUISVILLE POTTERY CO. Looks they they are double insulated- no lids. As is. Vintage aged condition- some minor chips if any at all. And no repairs or cracks. Displays nice! Offered as is. these crocks weighs almost 5 lbs together. Smaller crock measure 5" tall and larger measures 6 3/4" tall and each are about 4 1/4" to 5" wide. Stoneware Pottery Crock Miniature Cobalt Blue Four Leaf Clover Rumborf
This miniature speckled stoneware crock has a deep colbalt blue four leaf clover and blue circles on either side of it and the name Rumborf on the other side(if I am reading it correctly? I do not know much about it except that I bought it in an antique shop and I can not find anything on the name on the internet. I did find that there was a potter in Maryland that often painted clovers and the clay was speckled. A wonderful miniature stoneware piece. Could be used for melted butter or as a cordial or could be planter in doll house. Up for bid is a Uniquely colored. Speckled PINK stoneware crock! The crock is really cool looking with its two tone pink speckles. The lid is a bit lighter pink than the bottom. It's in really good condition with no cracks or chips. Also. The wire latch works. The crock IS missing the rubber seal. It measures 5 1/2" tall with wire latch in place. Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar Crock Wax Sealer Earthenware 1880
For sale is a Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar or Crock. This is an old Wax Sealer sometimes referred to as Earthenware. The jar is 4.75" tall and 4.75" in diameter. The jar is in good antique condition with some edge chipping and a ghost hairline on the base that does not show on the inside. The jar will still hold water. I rarely find these pieces in this size. I have tested it for lead so I would date it to about 1880 to 1900. Glass jars were still quite expensive so stoneware jars were still in use during the late 19th century especially in the South. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. OLD Stoneware Pottery chicken feeder waterer jug crock jar pot KY OH Old chicken feeder. Not sure of the origin. Consignor says most likely Kentucky or Ohio. Family piece and that is where they lived. Feeder measures app. 8 1/2" tall and 7" wide. Dark brown/ olive color. Along the bottom there are some skips done in the making. ANTIQUE NEW ENGLAND FARM PRIMITIVE STONEWARE POTTERY CROCK 10 1/2" DIAMETER) N0. 3" LID COVER IN A'MOTTLED BLACK' COLOR. This is a antique stoneware pottery lid for a crock which measures approx. 10 1/2" in diameter and is approx. 1.5" tall. The measurement underneath from the lid's rim at bottom which fits inside the crock measures from outside edge to opposite outside edge approx. 8.75" across. This antique stoneware lid has a lovely number"3" inscribed on center underneath lid on bottom which is in a hand-inscribed stylized'curly' font(see close-up pic included) The color is'mottled' meaning that there are other colors including black on its surface with a'striped' affect(see pics) The lid has its finial knob on top(see pics) which is undamaged. The lid is in very good ... moreperiod condition with no repairs and no cracks, it has some chips-there are no chips on finial knob, on the inside raised rim on top of lid there are only a few tiny minute flea bites or abrasions there(see pics) there are few chips on the surface of the sides of the inside bottom(underside) rim which do not go very deep(see pics) and last on the top of the outermost rim's edge there are 4 chips as shown in pics-please view this and all pics as to condition and color patterning. Weighs approx. 3 1/2 lbs. Great old antique New England primitive farm stoneware pottery crock lid cover for use or/and display. smoke/pet free home. Thank you.

ANTIQUE NEW ENGLAND PRIMITIVE LARGE 12.25" DIAMETER& HEAVY 6 1/2 LBS. WHITE STONEWARE POTTERY CROCK LID COVER IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. The antique white stoneware pottery lid cover fits onto an antique crock-it is large and thick and heavy(see pics) and it measures approx. 12.25" across in diameter x approx. 2 1/8" tall. The diameter across of the measurement of the underside part that fits into the crock measures approx. 10" to 10 1/8" across(see pic of underside of lid) The lid is a lovely white-washed slip pottery stoneware with a large knob handle at top(see pics) it is in excellent undamaged condition with no stains or cracks or chips-with the exception of one small air crack on the inside of the top rim which was probably made during the heating/firing process and should not be considered a flaw as it appears ... moreto have been made during the pottery's creation-I have included a pic of this in a close-up for your inspection-please see pic. This antique stoneware lid is heavy and thick and weighs approx. 6 1/2 lbs.
