Antique 1800s C&B Skey Pottery Tamworth Oyster Jar Stoneware Crock England This is an antique stoneware oyster jar made by the George Skey Pottery Tamworth. England, in the late 1800s(1870s 1880s) It is 6.75 inches tall and is pale gray on the bottom and light brown on the top. It bears the Tamworth oval mark and the C& B triangle with square mark. It is in very good condition with no overt damage. There are some black marks or residue on bottom and there is a small chip on bottom edge which appears it could have been a manufacturing defect—I mention only for completeness I do combine shipping to save you money on multiple items.

ANTIQUE ROYCROFT ART POTTERY LITTLE BROWN JUG ARTS CRAFTS OVOID STONEWARE CROCK!
I am selling my highly collectible ANTIQUE early's ROYCROFT SHOPS ARTS& CRAFTS ART POTTERY" LITTLE BROWN JUG" As I need to downsize some of my pottery collections. This darling"Little Brown Jug" stands 5" tall X 4" at the widest point of the jug body. The spout sits 7/8" above the body and the handle is large enough to put a fat finger through. The handle sits 1 1/4" out to the side. This little jug is heavy art pottery stoneware in the traditional Arts& Crafts manner with the typical satin matte glaze. The glaze is a rich coffee brown and there are several decorative"rings" under the glaze at the widest point in the body(see photos) This was made by the Roycroft Shops out of Aurora NY in the early 1900's. The jug is marked on the unglazed underside with the Roycroft" ... moreR" in a circle below the stylized cross. The impression of the stamp is not deep. But legible. The jug is in very good antique condition, it is almost 100 years old! There are no cracks, chips or repairs however the rich brown glaze does have a few little"glaze pops" here and there in the glaze only, not the clay. There are three small glaze pops that are the size of a large pin head and another a bit larger, about 1/8" in diameter. Most of these are in one area so the jug will display nicely. They are old glaze pops that are often found on art pottery, as this is the nature of the glaze. This is not considered damage as these"pops" usually occurred during firing and manufacture. The glazes are never smooth and there are usually little lumps and bumps under the glaze. These pops are tiny and well documented in my pictures. Roycroft shops art pottery is highly collectible and this is a nice size. This would look perfect with your other primitives. Mission setting or for display with dried straw flowers. Up for auction is a very nice pottery ginger beer bottle. Reads E- Ferris. The shoulders. Name, and blob top are a nice cobalt blue. This bottle is in overall good condition, though there in one small flake from the top of the lip, a pot stone mark on the side, and a small minor line in the glaze from the base of the bottle, see pics. Overall these areas should not be too much of an issue for this rare bottle. All areas being mentioned are to be as accurate as I can and most of these bottles have these types of wear. It was hand-made in a mold and dates back to the late 1800's. Jug reads: YE/ OLDEN/ TIME" Condition: Jug is in nice clean condition. On close inspection. The tip of the pipe is broken off and there is a small nick in the side of the lip. Otherwise jug has NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. Age: An antique hand-molded crock. Ca. late 1800's. Crock is in very good condition, 1 tooling mark on top rim, a hairline crack along the side of mark, running down approx. 3 inches, also 1 hairline running from bottom up, approx. 7 inches, and about 1 inch on bottom, and 2 inches another way on bottom. Very solid, crock does ping. Some minor roughness around inner rim, handles are in good condition, a little roughness. Normal ware and tear. It is almost 9.5" tall. 5 3/4" acrossed the opening, andabout 7" acoss bottom, I would say this would hold over a gallon, There are no cracks to this crocks sounds great, There is some chipping to the bottom and the underside of the lid, If I am correct these crocks were used for storeing meat, you would fry it and place it in the crock and pour fat drippings over the meat and store in a cool place, you could then pull back some of the fat and get your meat out, then put the fat back on this would keep for a good spell. Lemon Curd, or perhaps Clotted Cream, Dear Collectors, this is a genuine 19th c antique English lustre glazed Preserve Stoneware Crock Jar peculiar to those made across the big pond for food preservation of yesteryear in the British Isles. Every respectable farmstead would sport several in the kitchen and buttery/pantry for daily use and storage of preserved foodstuffs well before the days of modern refrigeration made these charming sturdy stoneware vessels outmoded and relegated to collector status. Quite similar to American Albany slip brown glaze. The exterior of crock is covered lavishly in pearl brown lustre wash glaze giving it a soft lustre reflective pearl shine with life that dances off the surface at all angles. It features twin lug handles at upper side to aid gripping crock during cooking ... morewith a decorative stamped incised single beaded ring running around the upper middle kissing lower handle extensions. It has a most gentle chamfered base bevel, then the bottom is simply unglazed stoneware clay patina. A thick well formed rim likely once had a lid no longer present, but no matter, clean sage gray green glazed interior is happy to hold your wooden spoons and kitchen utensils in period style. Overall it has a tall, slight flared upright shape like a fine pail with great dignity and usefulness to industrious housekeeper.remember Mrs. Bridges from Upstairs, Downstairs? Hudson would approve and no doubt Downton Abbey has a few on display as well. It stands 6.25" tall and 5.75" across open top. I would guestimate, holds about a quart liquid capacity overall. It is in sound fine condition with no damage, no chips, no hairlines. nothing beyond the the usual firing scratch in the making or tiny rough clay blob on rim glazed over. A true antique crock. I'm selling the old pottery piece for my friend. She's 92& asked me to list it. The crock came from her home place. In Bybee, Tn. where she was born& raised. She moved from the family farm in 1960. She remembers the crock as a small child. She was born in 1920 so this crock is definitely an antique. Great condition. No chips. A couple very light. Glaze hairline cracks that you need extra light to see& doesn't take away or cause any issues. The stoneware crock is 6" tall& 5.75" across the top. Two tone or two shades of brown. Information can be obtained from"Potteries of California" No it isn't in mint condition but it will still pickle a very large batch of olives or cucumbers. Provenance information; this crock came from the same house in San Jose that the windows that may or may not be listed came out of. The home was turn of the century. And no repairs or cracks. Displays nice! Offered as is. these crocks weighs almost 5 lbs together. Smaller crock measure 5" tall and larger measures 6 3/4" tall and each are about 4 1/4" to 5" wide. ANTIQUE ROYAL BLUE STONEWARE COVERED CASSEROLE BAKING DISH USA POTTERY COOKWARE
Offered is this Royal Blue Stoneware Covered Baker. Embossed on the underside of the base is" USA"This heavy cooking dish measures 9 5/8 inches in diameter. 3 1/2 inches deep and 6 inches tall. The weight is 5 pounds 3 ounces. There is a vertical hairline crack that runs 1 1/4 inches down from the rim on the lower piece. The last two pictures show this area in detail. There are no other cracks and no chips. There are a few tiny production glaze pops and hard to see crazing.

Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar Crock Wax Sealer Earthenware 1880
For sale is a Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar or Crock. This is an old Wax Sealer sometimes referred to as Earthenware. The jar is 4.75" tall and 4.75" in diameter. The jar is in good antique condition with some edge chipping and a ghost hairline on the base that does not show on the inside. The jar will still hold water. I rarely find these pieces in this size. I have tested it for lead so I would date it to about 1880 to 1900. Glass jars were still quite expensive so stoneware jars were still in use during the late 19th century especially in the South. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. VINTAGE WISCONSIN HOMESTEAD CROCK This is very nice original crock. There is use wear and does need to be cleaned. Measures aprox. 3 7/8" tall without the lid on. As far as I can see there are no cracks only surface chips as I have tried to show in the photos. On the bottom edges there is some chipping off of the glaze. A very hard to find beautiful piece. The rubber seal is missing. A great addition to any collection. ANTIQUE NEW ENGLAND FARM PRIMITIVE STONEWARE POTTERY CROCK 10 1/2" DIAMETER) N0. 3" LID COVER IN A'MOTTLED BLACK' COLOR. This is a antique stoneware pottery lid for a crock which measures approx. 10 1/2" in diameter and is approx. 1.5" tall. The measurement underneath from the lid's rim at bottom which fits inside the crock measures from outside edge to opposite outside edge approx. 8.75" across. This antique stoneware lid has a lovely number"3" inscribed on center underneath lid on bottom which is in a hand-inscribed stylized'curly' font(see close-up pic included) The color is'mottled' meaning that there are other colors including black on its surface with a'striped' affect(see pics) The lid has its finial knob on top(see pics) which is undamaged. The lid is in very good ... moreperiod condition with no repairs and no cracks, it has some chips-there are no chips on finial knob, on the inside raised rim on top of lid there are only a few tiny minute flea bites or abrasions there(see pics) there are few chips on the surface of the sides of the inside bottom(underside) rim which do not go very deep(see pics) and last on the top of the outermost rim's edge there are 4 chips as shown in pics-please view this and all pics as to condition and color patterning. Antique Pottery Ceramic Crock Teapot Pitcher with Spout and Handle
An Estate Sale acquisition: Ceramic pot with pouring spout and handle. There is a makers mark on the end of the handle. But I'm unable to determine what it says. Measurements: 5 3/4" high. Mouth is approx. 4" across at the inside, and crock at the widest point is approx. 6 1/2" Crock does not have any chips. No visible cracks from use, and is sold as found. Could use a good cleaning. ANTIQUE NEW ENGLAND PRIMITIVE LARGE 12.25" DIAMETER& HEAVY 6 1/2 LBS. WHITE STONEWARE POTTERY CROCK LID COVER IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. The antique white stoneware pottery lid cover fits onto an antique crock-it is large and thick and heavy(see pics) and it measures approx. 12.25" across in diameter x approx. 2 1/8" tall. The diameter across of the measurement of the underside part that fits into the crock measures approx. 10" to 10 1/8" across(see pic of underside of lid) The lid is a lovely white-washed slip pottery stoneware with a large knob handle at top(see pics) it is in excellent undamaged condition with no stains or cracks or chips-with the exception of one small air crack on the inside of the top rim which was probably made during the heating/firing process and should not be considered a flaw as it appears ... moreto have been made during the pottery's creation-I have included a pic of this in a close-up for your inspection-please see pic. This antique stoneware lid is heavy and thick and weighs approx. 6 1/2 lbs.
