Antique 1800s C&B Skey Pottery Tamworth Oyster Jar Stoneware Crock England This is an antique stoneware oyster jar made by the George Skey Pottery Tamworth. England, in the late 1800s(1870s 1880s) It is 6.75 inches tall and is pale gray on the bottom and light brown on the top. It bears the Tamworth oval mark and the C& B triangle with square mark. It is in very good condition with no overt damage. There are some black marks or residue on bottom and there is a small chip on bottom edge which appears it could have been a manufacturing defect—I mention only for completeness I do combine shipping to save you money on multiple items.

ANTIQUE ROYCROFT ART POTTERY LITTLE BROWN JUG ARTS CRAFTS OVOID STONEWARE CROCK!
I am selling my highly collectible ANTIQUE early's ROYCROFT SHOPS ARTS& CRAFTS ART POTTERY" LITTLE BROWN JUG" As I need to downsize some of my pottery collections. This darling"Little Brown Jug" stands 5" tall X 4" at the widest point of the jug body. The spout sits 7/8" above the body and the handle is large enough to put a fat finger through. The handle sits 1 1/4" out to the side. This little jug is heavy art pottery stoneware in the traditional Arts& Crafts manner with the typical satin matte glaze. The glaze is a rich coffee brown and there are several decorative"rings" under the glaze at the widest point in the body(see photos) This was made by the Roycroft Shops out of Aurora NY in the early 1900's. The jug is marked on the unglazed underside with the Roycroft" ... moreR" in a circle below the stylized cross. The impression of the stamp is not deep. But legible. The jug is in very good antique condition, it is almost 100 years old! There are no cracks, chips or repairs however the rich brown glaze does have a few little"glaze pops" here and there in the glaze only, not the clay. There are three small glaze pops that are the size of a large pin head and another a bit larger, about 1/8" in diameter. Most of these are in one area so the jug will display nicely. They are old glaze pops that are often found on art pottery, as this is the nature of the glaze. This is not considered damage as these"pops" usually occurred during firing and manufacture. The glazes are never smooth and there are usually little lumps and bumps under the glaze. These pops are tiny and well documented in my pictures. Roycroft shops art pottery is highly collectible and this is a nice size. This would look perfect with your other primitives. Mission setting or for display with dried straw flowers. This auction is for an anitque stoneware salt glaze whiskey jug crock. This old jug is 2 gallons- as marked on the front. There are no other markings on the jug. It is in great condition. It does have some uneven spots around the bottom that were glazed over and there are a couple of niks on the bottom but they do not affect the integrity of the piece. Vintage Antique Stoneware Canning Crock w/ Lid Handpainted Pottery Estate Fine This is a from an old estate sale. It is almost 9.5" tall. 5 3/4" acrossed the opening, andabout 7" acoss bottom, I would say this would hold over a gallon, There are no cracks to this crocks sounds great, There is some chipping to the bottom and the underside of the lid, If I am correct these crocks were used for storeing meat, you would fry it and place it in the crock and pour fat drippings over the meat and store in a cool place, you could then pull back some of the fat and get your meat out, then put the fat back on this would keep for a good spell. WHAT A CROCK OF. Gooseberry Preserves. Lemon Curd, or perhaps Clotted Cream, Dear Collectors, this is a genuine 19th c antique English lustre glazed Preserve Stoneware Crock Jar peculiar to those made across the big pond for food preservation of yesteryear in the British Isles. Every respectable farmstead would sport several in the kitchen and buttery/pantry for daily use and storage of preserved foodstuffs well before the days of modern refrigeration made these charming sturdy stoneware vessels outmoded and relegated to collector status. Quite similar to American Albany slip brown glaze. The exterior of crock is covered lavishly in pearl brown lustre wash glaze giving it a soft lustre reflective pearl shine with life that dances off the surface at all angles. It features twin lug handles at upper side to aid gripping crock during cooking ... morewith a decorative stamped incised single beaded ring running around the upper middle kissing lower handle extensions. It has a most gentle chamfered base bevel, then the bottom is simply unglazed stoneware clay patina. A thick well formed rim likely once had a lid no longer present, but no matter, clean sage gray green glazed interior is happy to hold your wooden spoons and kitchen utensils in period style. Overall it has a tall, slight flared upright shape like a fine pail with great dignity and usefulness to industrious housekeeper.remember Mrs. Bridges from Upstairs, Downstairs? Hudson would approve and no doubt Downton Abbey has a few on display as well. It stands 6.25" tall and 5.75" across open top. I would guestimate, holds about a quart liquid capacity overall. It is in sound fine condition with no damage, no chips, no hairlines. nothing beyond the the usual firing scratch in the making or tiny rough clay blob on rim glazed over. I know this is English having travelled to the UK buying fields myself seeing these on offer occasionally, and this lovely example was deacessioned last week from a retired English Dealer in Gettysburg, PA who purchased it

OLD Small SALT GLAZE CROCK POT GINGER JAR China Pottery Antique Vintage???
This is the COOLest Little Thing! Totally guessing here. But feels like a coil pot, not hand thrown. But Not SURE. Inside is Rough in some places, like plaster, smooth on the bottom. Exterior Beautiful Salt GLAZE color with lots of character and tine spider web dark color. Marked on front and back MADE IN CHINA. THis little guy is footed standing only 4" tall. A true antique crock. I'm selling the old pottery piece for my friend. She's 92& asked me to list it. The crock came from her home place. In Bybee, Tn. where she was born& raised. She moved from the family farm in 1960. She remembers the crock as a small child. She was born in 1920 so this crock is definitely an antique. Great condition. No chips. A couple very light. Glaze hairline cracks that you need extra light to see& doesn't take away or cause any issues. The stoneware crock is 6" tall& 5.75" across the top. Two tone or two shades of brown. This cup looks really really old. Multi brown colors. Almost like sponged. Primitive pottery, maybe cup, bowl, crock. There is crazing under the glaze. Around the rim there are chips as shown. The dark clay is exposed in these spots. No cracks. And with the chips on the edge. This still looks primitively awesome. Cup measures approx 3" high x 3.5" across. Up for consideration is this Antique Garden City Pottery Number 12 San Jose. California Crock. Information can be obtained from"Potteries of California" No it isn't in mint condition but it will still pickle a very large batch of olives or cucumbers. Provenance information; this crock came from the same house in San Jose that the windows that may or may not be listed came out of. The home was turn of the century. The crock is in fair'as found' condition. There are chips around the top rim(see photos) but there are no cracks that we can find. ANTIQUE STONEWARE CROCK Lot of 2 no markings- could be made by LOUISVILLE POTTERY CO. Looks they they are double insulated- no lids. As is. Vintage aged condition- some minor chips if any at all. And no repairs or cracks. Displays nice! Offered as is. these crocks weighs almost 5 lbs together. Smaller crock measure 5" tall and larger measures 6 3/4" tall and each are about 4 1/4" to 5" wide. LOOK at ALL Photos to consider condition and size. There could be superficial cracks not seen throughout and these are likely dirty inside- Found at a fine estate, these may have been used as a planter~ Great for Americana decor~. Composition, as the name implies, is very hard. It is made from a fine, dense clay and being fired at a high temperature attains a consistency akin to hard-paste porcelain. I'm pretty sure this is from Connecticut.The shoulder has an incised encircling ring recognized to be by Connecticut potters.1830-50 Also has the manganese glaze marks.You really can't see the marks cause the crock is a Dark brown color,So I used the flash on the camera with half the pictures making the jar light brown. The first and last five pictures were taken with the flash.This exact jar is made with a ligther brown color like the pictures taken with the flash.This jar is Dark Brown.

Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar Crock Wax Sealer Earthenware 1880
For sale is a Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar or Crock. This is an old Wax Sealer sometimes referred to as Earthenware. The jar is 4.75" tall and 4.75" in diameter. The jar is in good antique condition with some edge chipping and a ghost hairline on the base that does not show on the inside. The jar will still hold water. I rarely find these pieces in this size. I have tested it for lead so I would date it to about 1880 to 1900. Glass jars were still quite expensive so stoneware jars were still in use during the late 19th century especially in the South. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. The measurement underneath from the lid's rim at bottom which fits inside the crock measures from outside edge to opposite outside edge approx. 8.75" across. This antique stoneware lid has a lovely number"3" inscribed on center underneath lid on bottom which is in a hand-inscribed stylized'curly' font(see close-up pic included) The color is'mottled' meaning that there are other colors including black on its surface with a'striped' affect(see pics) The lid has its finial knob on top(see pics) which is undamaged. An Estate Sale acquisition: Ceramic pot with pouring spout and handle. There is a makers mark on the end of the handle. But I'm unable to determine what it says. Measurements: 5 3/4" high. Mouth is approx. 4" across at the inside, and crock at the widest point is approx. 6 1/2" Crock does not have any chips. No visible cracks from use, and is sold as found. Could use a good cleaning. THIS CROCK JUST ROCKS DEAR COLLECTORS! New arrival this week from Colony Farm Antiques. The parent of Lady Ellens' Fine Ware business, is a very fine genuine and desireable marked and early ovoid urn form salt glazed stoneware crock stamped WM E. WARNER WEST TROY with a hollow Numeral"2" beneath indicating two allon capacity size in nice mid grey smooth patina with attractive country good looks. Snatched from a deaccessioned downsized collection of over 30 years in New York State just last week. This item is market fresh and never wandered far from its manufacture area and was found within 50 miles of where made, very local indeed. That's just how I like to find them for you as I know many collectors seek only local stonewares for their collection near to where they live. Please study the pictures taken outside in natural ... moresunlight at all angles to see how lovely this choice earlier form crock really is from all views front. side, inside, bottom. stamped very blue incised signature credentials, and lug ear twin handles. I see only pencil eraser sized brown discolor drip on side under handle Picture Three. All else is smooth even color with NO staining and a nice clean Albany glazed brown slip coated interior. No cracks, hairlines, no rim chips, no stone pings, the clay was finely milled during manufacture and it really is evident is final quality of output from the Warner factory in upstate New York, near king in stoneware productions of all the states for fancy works as well as early forms for collectors. You will not be disappointed with this one, it is as fresh and perfect as one can find at affordable price on the market today. It shows well whether on the floor or up on a shelf and a good useable size for magazines or light duty trash can(we use them in our powder room for papers, as they wipe clean easily and provide charm to the room setting rather than plastic or tin waste cans! Up for auction is an antique primitive stoneware pottery crock whisky jug that is unmarked and unsigned. It comes from my parents' estate. I have no idea how old it is or its origin. It measures about 12" tall by 8" wide. It is in good condition for its age. Ruckel's Stone Ware 2 Gallon Crock Up for your perusal is this antique Ruckel's Stoneware 2 gallon crock. It has a white glaze and stamped in cobalt blue'Ruckel's Stoneware' mark and'2' for 2 gallon size. Established in 1870 in White Hall Illinois. Ruckel's Pottery was popular at the end of the 1800s and into the early part of the 1900s. It is in great condition and very clean. It measures 9.5" tall and 9.5" in diameter. No glaze pops but there are a few chips on the bottom and a crack on the outer top(see pics) Normal wear from use. Age and storage. Found at an estate sale. This is a beautiful crock and rare to find. It shows it's age and is probably close to 100 years old or more. Not too many of these out there. Perfect for any crock or antique collector. Up for auction we have a White Hall Illinois 10 gallon salt glazed stoneware crock. It is believed to be ca. 1926 and it is 16 1/2 inch tall. It dose have a 3 inch line at the top of the crock which you can view in the pictures. Other than that the crock is in great condition. The crock has it's original wire and wood handles. Antique pottery wax sealer crock- live in Minnesota- quite possibly Red Wing- it is unmarked. Measures approx 8" high and 7" base diameter. Has rough surface and a few small chips(photos 5. 6, 9) no cracks. Color is lighter than shown- using a flash made it too light so took w/o a flash which made in appear darker(more the color of milk chocolate vs dark chocolate) Look over carefully and email if more photos are needed.
