This crock is in exceptional condition with no chips or cracks, and the design is fired into the glaze. The original seal and bale are here, and the seal remains pliable. Standing about 5 inches tall, and measuring about 3-1/4 inches across, it would be darling in any country or retro kitchen! In 1918 Hubert Fassbender formed his own distributing company in Kaukauna. Wisconsin, which soon became known as South Kaukauna Dairy and eventually Kaukauna Cheese. After years of experimenting, he perfected a cold pack method of cheese production. This consists of grinding natural cheese to a fine texture and, without heat, combining it with whey solids, dry milk, and flavors such as wine and spices. The flavors come through, and the product remains spreadable at room temperature. Fassbender chose a ceramic crock as the distinctive container for his new product. His cheese was served in hotels and clubs in the area and acquired the nickname"club cheese. The Kaukauna Klub brand was introduced and copyrighted in 1933. The year the firm also began to market the product in the gray stone crock. It is now produced in vacuum sealed plastic containers in step with more modern production methods. There's a spot that has been worn down from sharpening knives on it. I have fond memories of my mom handing this crock to my dad with a knife to sharpen as dinner was being prepared.many years of this is shown in the wear to the same spot. 1914 written on bottom. Antique Vintage Salt Glaze Brown Crock Jar 1 1/2 QT Wax Seal
Up for bid is a antique brown crock salt glaze jar used for vegetables or fruit. The lid was sealed to the jar with wax. Such jars date back to the 1200's however this one is probably from the 1800's. This jar is 1 1/2 qt. capacity. Stands 7" tall and is 3 1/2" across. You couldn't ask for a nicer piece for it's age as it has one small chip and wear along the rim and another chip on the side, each about 1/5" and some glaze is missing at the bottom, appears to be a manufacturing flaw. Otherwise there are no other cracks or other chips. This would be a great addition to a collection. Please take a minute and look at my other listings which are varied and different. I will combine postage I have considerable inventory I need to consolidate and doesn't help that I keep adding to it. This is an authentic antique stoneware jug which measures approximately 8-1/2 inches tall by 7-1/2 inches in diameter. It has a chip at the neck. See picture, and several small"flaws" on the body, see pictures. There are not any cracks that I can find. There are marks on the jug which might appear in the pictures to be cracks but they are really just marks(possible pencil marks) This jug was found under a really old house in Texas about 70 years ago. It holds one gallon filled to its brim and measures approximately 9 3/4" high. 6 1/4" wide at the bottom& 5 1/2" wide at the top. The opening is 4" wide and it has a tapered neck. The glazing on this crock is in beautiful condition, inside and out. The crock has no markings on it but I suspect it was made locally as S.E. Ohio was/is well known for its good clay soils for producing pottery, ceramics& glass. Within one half hour of where I live is where the homes of such companies as Roseville Pottery, Hull Pottery, Hall Pottery, Anchor-Hocking Glass, Hocking Glass, Fenton, McCoy Pottery, etc. were located. Up for auction is 1 antique crock This crock is yellowish/brown in color and is in really good shape. For this crocks age it is in excellent shape. I try to let everyone know about any imperfections so here are a few. It has a small impurity on the rim from when the crock was made. I would guess it was a air bubble when the crock was molded out. It is almost 9.5" tall. 5 3/4" acrossed the opening, andabout 7" acoss bottom, I would say this would hold over a gallon, There are no cracks to this crocks sounds great, There is some chipping to the bottom and the underside of the lid, If I am correct these crocks were used for storeing meat, you would fry it and place it in the crock and pour fat drippings over the meat and store in a cool place, you could then pull back some of the fat and get your meat out, then put the fat back on this would keep for a good spell. Antique Vintage Weir Stoneware Brown Canning Crock with Wire closure
This is a Weir Canning Crock with a Patent March 1st 1892 as identified on the lid. It still has the original working wire closure but it is rusty. There are no noted chips or cracks. The inside is clean. With the vintage age there is some crazing on the cream colored area of the crock. I personally took this piece out of my grand mothers old farm house kitchen basement crawl space. It was sitting beside several old crocks and several large bolders(rocks) which were supporting the old house so I know they have been there for years. The house has been in the family for 100 years. Antique primitive Vintage Dark Brown Crock Jar Wax Seal?
Antique dark brown crock jar used for vegetables or fruit. The lid was sealed to the jar with wax i believe. Such jars date back to the 1200's however this one is probably from the late 1800's- to the early 1900s. It is in very good condition considering it's age. The inside rim is rough and has small chips. As you can see in the picture. There is some discoloration at the bottom, appears to be a manufacturing flaw. Otherwise there are no other cracks, other chips and the glaze is in good condition. This would be a great addition to a collection. Pictures are part of description also. I will combine postage I have considerable inventory I need to consolidate and doesn't help that I keep adding to it. If you find something you like remember I will combine postage.

This auction is for one very handsome dark brown earthenware crock. Possibly used to make and store pickles or butter. In very good condition except for a couple of very small flakes missing from the surface and what appears to be a short and very fine vertical hairline crack that extends just slightly over the rim of the crock. Here is an Antique or Vintage Boston Baked Beans Crock With Lid and Blye Lettering. It is in overall Sturdy and Good Used Condition. No cracks or crazing- although the inside of the rim has 2 small chips and is darkened from use. As is the bottom of the crock which looks like it was used directly on a stove's burner. This Boston Baked Beans Crock measures approximately 8" across(handle to handle) and stands about 5 1/2" tall. The diameter on the bottom is 6 1/2" A great find! Posted with

Antique Vintage Majolica Jar Crock with Lid and Basket Handle Cherubs Apples
Lovely majolica jar or crock made of a fine ceramic clay with plenty of cherubs dancing all around picking apples. Measures 5.25" tall by 6.25" wide including handles. Nice fiber basket handle. The crock weighs about 5 pounds. It's 9" tall and 6" wide. I obtained this at an estate sale of a collector who had a variety of primitive 1800's crocks. Which I was told were from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. This crock is unmarked, but it's gorgeous. If features a cobalt blue design, and what appears to be a"3" painted on one side(3 quarts? It has 2 ear handles. It's in wonderful vintage condition; there is a small shallow chip at the base(see photo) but it does not detract from the beauty of the crock.
