Antique Full/Double Wood Bed Frame and Dresser
Pine bed with carved detail includes sideboards and slats. If you use the sideboards. You'll need to special order a full size mattress because it is shorter than standard length when sideboards are attached to head and foot board- it is an antique. I used the head and foot board with a standard full metal bed frame in order to use a standard full size mattress. This is a family heirloom. Passed down to me from my grandparents but we know longer have room for it in our home. Dresser- 42 high by 40 wide- this is an old dresser with a lot of history- it has spent only 19 of those years with me so I don't know all the history. I refinished only the top of the dresser- shortly after that. There was some sort of spill that left approx. a one inch diameter spot which I have not fixed. All other imperfections are just from wear and tear ... moredue to 100 plus years of existing. Pictures do not do this piece justice.

Footboard and original rails in a cherry finish. Head and footboards are carved with a cut and pierced gallery finishing off the top of headboard. Wood is cut and layered on rails to produce the stepped detail on the ends. Bed fits a standard full size mattress 54" x 75" Pictured in bright sunlight and cloud cover. Bed is in overall very good condition. However, there are some signs of age on this 100 plus year old heirloom- there is some separation between the leg and body on the front right of footboard. Footboard is still very solid. There are also two spots on same leg on side where the wood must have been wet a one time ... moreas the finish color is lighter. There is also a long crack on the carved gallery on top of headboard and two of the six small gallery supports on back of headboard are missing. This is rare opportunity to purchase an authentic Full Tester Bed by the famous antebellum cabinet maker Charles Lee. This impressive bed was made around 1850 and crafted of the finest mahogany. It is identical to the original bed found in the master bedroom in the Natchez antebellum mansion. Rosalie. The arched headboard features carved leafy scroll work which meets in the center with a pendant of hand carved grapes. Pomegranate, and leaves dropping down. Book-matched crotch mahogany accents the central recessed panel. The side rails have carved leaves, volutes, and a central cartouche that resembles a crown. One of the special features of this bed is that it has the most complex bed posts created by C. Lee. Some beds have cluster columns, but this bed has a post with an undulating profile that alternates from convex to concave. Crowning ... morethe bed is wide, flaring ogee tester. The entire bed has a mirror smooth French polish that brings the mahogany to life. The photos are not great, but I assure you the graining of the wood and the finish are clear and bright. Antique Victorian 3/4 bed "Pick up only"
This bed has been in my family for four generations. My grandmothers(grandmother born in 1918) mother was born on this bed. The only history I have on it is that it is from Europe. It is a 3/4 bed appraised in 1992 at $900. It has been in storage all this time waiting to go to a good home. Has rub marks here& there but is still beautiful. It just needs a good home! I have been told this 1800'S bed is made of ash which typical for this time period but I do not know. In light of this beds age please know it has been glued in some areas. This is an antique brass and cast iron double bed from the 1800's. It is marked on metal tag: Whitcomb Metallic Bedstead Company Manufacturers. Shelton. Conn. It is a double bed measuring 54 inches wide. The siderails measure 75 inches long and the brass rails measure 82" The headboard is 57 inches high and footboard is 37 inches high. Annie's Antique Oak Murphy Bed
Antique. One of a kind, Murphy Bed with the original springs. This is a beautiful piece of furniture in wonderful condition. And comes with a friendly ghost attached! Take it for what you may. We believe her name is Annie. And she apparently is quite proud of the bed because it was where she made her living. We were told by a psychic friend, who had not even realized it was a bed(it gets mistaken for a wardrobe) that he saw a woman whose name he thought was Annie, leaning against the bed and smiling. He told us that when we opened it up we should look for notches carved inside. This bed is hand carved from old-growth solid walnut. The fittings are wrought iron and the spindles are unevenly turned. When it is put together. It is very sturdy-the hardware was brilliantly set. It's about 6' long, so it was intended for a tall person to sleep in, not a child. Most likely a campaign bed for an officer, or a servant's bed. It's quite narrow. I cut new slats for it, but it was originally a slatted campaign bed, not a rope bed. There is no mattress for it. There is one crack in the headboard that could easily be repaired. It's all original except for the slats. Must pick it up in Sycamore. Illinois.

Up for sale is an extremely old antique baby cradle/rocker! This hand made rocker is a thing of beauty! The mahogany finish adds the perfect touch for any child's bedroom or for the collector of beautiful antiques! One of the best parts about this piece is that it can be a rocker. Then, when ready to be used/showcased as a cradle, the rocker legs slide right off! This rocker has been in my family for about 100 years and it's time for the piece to go to someone who will appreciate it more than I. Hand Carved American Black Walnut Dinning Set It was made in a carving shop in Batesville. Indiana. It is made from American Black Walnut wood and is all hand carved. I think it is the best workmanship I have ever seen. The face of the drawers is burled and each drawer handle is carved from the drawer. All back legs are carved the same as the front legs. The set consist of a table with(4) 11 inch leaves. The table is(46 X 73 X 30 Tall) has(6) carved leg with the same design as the server, buffet and china cabinet. The table pulls apart on a Roller Beret Slide made by the Perfection Table-Slide Company, Watertown, Wisconsin. There are(6) chairs(2) arm chairs and(4) side chairs. Each chair has the same carved design at the top of the back as seen at the bottom of the server and buffet and top of the china cabinet. The two arm chairs are covered ... morewith white brocade with delectate teal& burgundy stripes, 48 tall& 26 1/2 wide) the(4) side chairs have carved backs and matching covered bottoms, 48 tall& 24 wide) One(1) buffet(97 x 23 ½ x 36 ½) with(6) legs all carved the same and(6) drawers(2) with burled fronts and(4) with carved fronts. The carving design at the bottom of each of drawers is the same as the top of the china cabinet, the top of each chair, the bottom of the Server and under the table. It has never refinished or touched up. The age but somewhere between 1902 and 1917. The person I spoke with who works for the Watertown table-slide Company said the last year this style slide was made was 1917. Antique British Cast Iron & Brass 'Spirits Be Gone' Bed
VERY unique antique(circa 1860-1870) British iron and brass double/full size bed with canopy. Dimensions: 53" wide by 85" long. Has 3 round medallions on the footboard set in round bulleted brass frames with inlaid copper and mirrored stars used to ward off evil spirits. This was accomplished by setting mirrors around the bed. And when not-so-friendly spirits would see their reflection in the mirrors they would get frightened and go packing! The bed is missing three of the tiny brass balls that go on top of the finals on the head and footboard in addition to what would appear to be larger brass knobs or balls that would sit on the top 4 corners. This is an old solid brass and copper covered beadwork bed. The copper is over metal I believe in the fine beadwork of the bed. There is two of the claw feet there and the other two are missing. They can easily be duplicated as you can take the other two off for this. The bed is 55 inches wide and there are no bed rails with this. I have taken some close up of a area that has some scratches or light denting. I will crate this for free and it can be shipped to most parts of the country by our shipper for about $200.00. Antique brass and iron canopy bed. Aesthetic Movement era with stylized sunflowers on the headboard and a brass plaque depicting the Madonna and Child on the footboard. Originally from Malta, brought to the US in the 1970s. Originally a double bed, the rails have been lengthened to fit a queen size mattress. The width has not been altered. A queen size mattress fits nicely. There are hand-painted flowers twining up the canopy posts, some are worn off with age, others are still there. Mid 1800s iron bedstead. Bed originally was a full size bed. I had the side rails elongated so as to use a queen size mattress on it. Pictures show the queen size mattress and box springs(not included) Also close-up pics of the wrought iron included. This was my grandfather's bed and he came from Tyrrell County in Eastern North Carolina. I don't know the original origin of the bed. He said it was his mother's. French Caned Full Bed with Bow Framed Angel Print insets ...around 1870
Lovely c. around 1870 French( as sold to me from a high end shop in Roanoke Va. full sized Angel bed for your Little Angel.Details include bows. Ropes and tassels.also Angel prints on the head and foot board. not sure if they are original to the bed.They can be removed and replaced with something else if you like.fabric or cane.Has some issues as with any antique of this age.I will list what I am aware of.holes in the cane and some repairs: an addition to the inside rail(see picture#10. I think due to the narrow supports for the slats) a crack near one bolt(see picture#11) Some scratches and dings consistent with an antique.The roping detail is attached with tiny nails at the rosettes and it can be removed to repair the cane or to upholster.Some of the roping is loose.I left it that way because I had intended to replace the cane with fabric.I ... morecan tighten the little nails in again but I thought I would leave this up to the new owner.I would not have known how to remove the decorative detail to repair if it were not loose when I purchased it) The rails attach to the head and foot board with 2 tongues that fit into 2 slots and a bolt that attaches with an allen wrench. The bed measures 61" wide x 76" long.the foot board is curved. a full mattress fits perfectly.I had it in a guest room with a full mattress and box spring.Adults slept on this bed. no problem. If slept on every night I would invest in better slats.The 4 with this bed(not original) did move around a little sometimes and I had to adjust them.The bed is extra wide for a full bed. You can put multiple layers of bed skirts and they can fall behind the rail so you do not lose the detail on the outside of the rail.You might be able to convert this bed to a queen with longer side rails. This is circa 1860's French bed frame fits a custom or full size bed. Comes with existing bed and mattress and box spring if desired. Where the sideboards fit in the headboards is about 56 inches wide. The length of the sideboard is about 75 inches. Exquisite ormolu( 18th-century English term for applying finely ground. High-carat in a to an object of) detailing on all 4 pieces. At it's tallest the headboard is 54 inches and at its widest 61 inches.
