Measures: Headboard- 48" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. Footboard- 41" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. The iron rails measure 75 1/4" long and when assembled it will sit 11" up from the floor. The cast iron frame is stamped: VONG Considered to be in excellent antique condition with all the spindles firmly in place. Wheels firmly attached, will need polishing. There is normal antique surface wear and minor scratches here and there. Normal surface wear, there are small scratches on the frames, see photos. Pristine Wrought Iron Twin Bed Cast Iron 1900's White Cape
Wonderful turn of the century(late 1800's or early 1900's) tubular iron and brass bed. Simple brass ball-shaped knobs top each of the four posts and a decoration supports the center of each brass rail. The painted white iron stiles are decorated by simple trefoil designs at the joints. Both side rails are included. Over all this piece is in good condition. There is a little wear to the paint. But no breaks or visible repairs. When assembled. Offered as found. with several coats of very old paint. this Iron bed is a Ivory Color. and you can see several layers of white/off white paint underneat. An Antique All Iron Bed with Original Wheels Now the wife and I had a little discussion on how to name the size. It looks like a single to me She insists it is a 3/4 bed or a Twin Size. Looking on the ebay some call it s Full Size. Now you can be the judge. The bed measures on the outside 41 1/2 inches wide and 78 inches long. on the inside of the original Iron Rails it measures 41 1/2 wide by 71 1/2 Long. The Bed is 36 inches tall at the head and 23 inches tall at the foot. Looking closely at the bed it is evident that some of the foot has been removed. Please look at the pictures closely. I found some listings on ebay that describe the design of the iron as bleeding heart I have no idea ... moreif that is an accurate description or not. This is for a very rare and very hard to find solid wood antique spindle bed. Wheels on the bottom with cast iron. Heavy side rails. This is an antique twin bed. Marked VONG on the rails. No other manufacturer name. Very, very old, dating to late 1800s or early 1900s. Normal surface wear. Small dent on the headboard, can be fixed, by sanding and staining if wanted, see photo, it can be repaired. This bed is gorgeous a one-of-a-kind and very, very hard to find. Rails no longer have the screws or bolts to attached, but they can be purchased and installed separately. Circa Late 1800s. We are selling the foot-board. The headboard and the two side rails only. Bed has wheels on bottom. Measures: Headboard- 48" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. Foot-board- 41" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep.
