The ... moretop crest is a carving of a mother with leaf carving all the way across, each post has Jenny Lind end, claw feet on the bottom of the posts and cupids carrying fruit and berries on the base. The carvings themselves are an art statement that would likely cost more than the entire sideboard. This is a great collectible piece of oak. The overall size is 54 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 39 inches high to the base and 86 inches high overall. The mirror glass size is 39 inches wide by 17 inches high. The mirror shows silver loss which adds charm and character. It has the original hardware. The knobs on the left-hand drawer has spacers instead of a washer, but it works. It has all the escutcheons.

It is complete with the tray and the top has a compartment with a hinged door. The inside and the tray have been lined with wallpaper- beautifully done. To the best of my knowledge. All of the leather is original. It has the original Brass Lock with a star pattern. The key is included and the trunk does lock. The trunk automically locks when you close the lid. If the key is not present. The key must be in the lock and turned to the unlocked position to open the trunk. Measures approximately 30" Wide(without the side straps) by 17" Deep by 15" High. Stained a Medium Brown- Base is made from Pine with Oak Slats. It does have a crack on the top. But to me, this just adds to its appeal. Other than a few very minor scratches. Jenny Lind Steamer Trunk/ Chest This is a Jenny Lind Steamer Trunk/ Chest. My best guess is that this dates to the mid 1800's. I purchased this in the Amish area of Pennsylvania about 30 years ago. It is in the same condition as it was when I purchased it. It is complete with the tray and the top has a compartment with a hinged door. The inside and the tray have been lined with wallpaper- beautifully done. To the best of my knowledge. All of the leather is original. It has the original Brass Lock with a star pattern. The key is included and the trunk does lock. The trunk automically locks when you close the lid. If the key is not present. This large ca. 1860's JENNY LIND CRADLE in walnut is stained dark. The head and foot and side spindle posts all are beautifully turned in the traditional Jenny Lind pattern. The slats and slat framework are newer. This is a large. Sturdy cradle measuring 40 inches long, 22.5 inches wide, and stands 37.5 inches high. This is a great decorative piece and could be used as the companion to a doll or bear collection. This item has some condition problems. Antique Jenny Lind walnut spool twin bed with slats 100+ yrs in my family
You are b idding on an antique Jenny Lind spool bed in twin size. This bed has been in my family for at least 5 generations. When I was a little girl my sister and I needed beds(this was about 1963) So my grandparents went into the old brick one-room schoolhouse on their property, which they used as a storage shed. These beds had been stored in there for at least 60 years by that time. It is a twin bed frame. Included are: headboard. Foot board, original wood side rails, original slats(which were made from antique wood floor boards by my great-grand-father) There is original metal hardware to connect the side rails to the head and foot board- it is a metal keyhole slot. I have tried to photo graph its condition as accurately as I can. For such a well-used piece. Its overall condition is pretty good. The finish is worn. Which I personally ... morelove, but you could paint it too. There is a missing ch unk out of the foot board"shoulder" which is about 1 inch by 2 inches. It still works fine. But needs to be filled with wood putty or similar to make it look better. A few places have been glued back together over the years. There are numerous screw holes from people putting the bed together, although it will assemble without the screws. The wood slats simply set into the niches of the side rails. They can be screwed into place for a more permanent solution. The second bed is being offered in a separate listing. For parts. Sadly, it has not weathered as well as its mate. This was purchased prior to 1930 by my grandmother. It is a Jenny Lind style 3/4 spool bed in solid walnut in very good condition. I did not like the dark finish and had it stripped to the natural finish. It comes with the original metal springs and the mattress. Full-sized sheets work well. The mattress was unfortunately damaged by water from when it was in my condo storage unit. It was a very small amount of water. But it damaged the one of the short ends of the mattress. The damage looks to be possibly from rust from the frame inside that material. That said, I want to keep it wrapped in the plastic so I don't want to check further. Mattress companies can find 3/4 mattresses if this one doesn't meet your needs. I dismantled the bed a few years ago and all of the pieces(but the box springs) And the mattress, have been wrapped in ... moreplastic from the moving company since then. I do not want to remove the plastic, so I did not put the bed back together for an assembled picture. The entire bed consists of a head board and foot board 38" high by 53.5" wide by 2.5" deep; side rails 72.5" long; nine slats to place under the metal box springs. The box springs could likely be placed on the rails without the slats, but the slats add stability and my family has always used them. Finally, the mattress is included.

This is a beautiful. Rare, Antique Jenny Lind Style Wooden Spool Headboard and Footboard that has been refurbished to it's original glory in a Walnut finish. The piece appears to be from the 1930-1940's. It is absolutely stunning and in excellent condition. Please note this is an antique and has minor wear that reflects this.
