We have resprayed it in satin sheen lacquer, but it could use a good sanding and a rub finish to bring out the luster finish. It is all soldi black walnut with Eastlake carvings throughout. It has burl panel accents trims on the mirror, doors, drawers, bed and headboard are awesome. It came out of a home on the east coast. The overall size of the bed on the outside is 57 inches wide, 37 inches high on the footboard and 78 inches high on the headboard.

1800's Hand Made Antique Queen Rope Bed - NY Cherry Wood
Beautiful Handmade Queen Cherry Wood Rope Bed from Cherry Creek. NY. It was modified to add a foot to accommodate taller people. See#8 photo) It was made in the late 1800's. Owned by my Great Grandmother Louise Parsons. Her father was the first physician in the Forestville NY area. It is Colonial style. There are some cracks and scuffs. But the bed is structurally sound. Length of mattress area 76" Width of mattress area is 45 3/8" Longest width 52" Height 44 1/4" Length 84" It is very pretty overall. But it does have some wear and minor scratches on it- consistent with the age of the piece. The white lines on the the lower joints are cracks. three of the four are cracked but the wood is still attached and quite rigid and strong. The cracks can be glued and clamped. This is a Pair of Antique Beds. All wood, believed carved, And hand painted with florals. As shown. Here's what I know for sure, These were carried from Wyoming to Oregon. Where they are located now. I don't know how they got to Wyoming. Maybe by wagon train( These beds are not damaged. And not dirty. They are just mighty aged. And have not been restored. So, authentic chic'n shabby, as shown. My intention. Was to strip and refinish. But that didn't happen. I kept these beds on hand for extra guests. Each has 2" wide Steel'L' shape brackets to hold a platform. And I just added a 3/4" thick strand board from Home Depot. Cut short for ease to 32" x 72" And these hold a ton. No prob. These beds come apart. 4 pieces each, and are easy to assemble by hand. I do not know that these size beds are called ... moretwin. I believe that they. Are a little longer and a bit narrower. These were made using Thick Wood. The Side Rails are 1.5" thick. And the footboards and headboards are 1.25" thick. Here are the measurements: The Headboard height is 47.75" 48" in height at the Center. The Footboard height is 32" from the ground to the top at the center. The Widths of these beds. The headboards and footboards, is 39" The Width at the center. We purchased this from an antique store several years ago and it was missing a leg. My husband is an expert wood craftsman and matched the leg perfectly. I challenge you to identify the replaced leg. Also included, would be the foam mattress we had custom made. We were told that back then, they used straw or other materials to fill large cloth bags for the mattress. Antique Victorian Eastlake wood bed and custom mattress - Turn of the century
This is an Eastlake wooden bed from the turn of the century in the original finish. It has been in my family since purchased. It has nice incise carvings and burl accents. The bed is in good condition and includes the original headboard. Footboard, and attaching side rails. It is a 3/4 size bed, so it is slightly smaller than a full size bed so I had a custom mattress made for it but full size sheets fit it fine. The custom made mattress and bunky board are in excellent condition(only slept on twice) The bed measures- 53" wide x 75.5" long. The headboard is 55" high at the tallest part and the footboard is 29" tall. The mattress measures approximately 51"x70"

Details: An antique c.1840-1870 handmade solid walnut rope bed. The bed has been converted from being a rope bed. Holes plugged, and fitted with newer solid wood rails to accommodate a full-size mattress set. The headboard and footboard are identical in size and style. Each one is made using two walnut panels, topped by a rolling pin crest, flanked by low, solid posts that feature mushroom-cap finials. The finish is original. Showing age appropriate patina, more so to the footboard where the finish is lighter along the top due to blankets being hung over it for many years. This set has been in my family since it was purchased. Although I'm unsure of the year of purchase. Actually, it has been in the same house since its purchase as well. Pine bed with carved detail includes sideboards and slats. If you use the sideboards. You'll need to special order a full size mattress because it is shorter than standard length when sideboards are attached to head and foot board- it is an antique. I used the head and foot board with a standard full metal bed frame in order to use a standard full size mattress. This is a family heirloom. Passed down to me from my grandparents but we know longer have room for it in our home. Dresser- 42 high by 40 wide- this is an old dresser with a lot of history- it has spent only 19 of those years with me so I don't know all the history. I refinished only the top of the dresser- shortly after that. There was some sort of spill that left approx. a one inch diameter spot which I have not fixed. I purchased this bed at an Illinois farmhouse estate sale about 20 years ago. Overall good condition for age; please see photos for detailed views. It is over 125 years. So do expect some wear. There is a small piece missing from decorative top piece and a minor stress crack on one of the side rails. Very solid, sturdy bed. These items are a pair of walnut face medallions that belong on the top of a Victorian marble top dresser or a Victorian bed. Beautiful walnut. The one on the left in the first pictures is perfect. The one on the right has an issue and the bottom and a small issue at the top on the right curve. They weigh right at about 5 pounds each. They are close to 18" tall. 12" wide and 4" at the deepest part of the wood. Excellent carving. I am not sure what the faces are made of but am sure they are from the period. No other manufacturer name. Very, very old, dating to late 1800s or early 1900s. Normal surface wear. Small dent on the headboard, can be fixed, by sanding and staining if wanted, see photo, it can be repaired. This bed is gorgeous a one-of-a-kind and very, very hard to find. Antique Eastlake Bed This is an Eastlake style antique bed. It is a beautiful and ornate set with a high-back headboard. This is definitely a"statement" piece. We believe it is composed of walnut with a medium-tone finish. Included in this set are a headboard. Footboard, side rails and slats. There is a lace dust ruffle stapled to the back of the footboard. This could be removed easily if the buyer so chooses. This set was made to hold a full extra-long size mattress. It is 56 7/8" wide. The highest point on the headboard is 83 1/4" The footboard is 31" in height. The bottom of the mattress would sit approximately 10" off of the ground(when placed on top of the slats) This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. It appears as though the side rails were replaced at some point, ... morebecause they are held together with phillips head screws. The rails do, however, match rather perfectly. The top crown of the headboard was cracked and repaired by the previous owner. I also see a crack in the middle of the headboard, which I have shown in pictures. I also noticed a water stain on the corner of the footboard, which I have also shown in pictures. There are minor imperfections, such as scratches or spots of wear, which I believe should be expected on a piece of this age. This is an incredible daybed or regular twin size. I bought it out of an estate on Martha's Vineyard many years ago and the woman who sold it to me said it was 1800's French. Exquisite carving all around and a great Lion Head on the headboard. Which is removable as well. Carved posts. There is one spot where the frame meets one leg that should be reinforced with an L brace. Primitive Antique Wood Rope Bed Tool Unusual Collectible Conversation Piece
For Consideration: Here is a most interesting Rope Bed Puller Tool.one decorated with carved lines. But well worn now from apparent use ages ago. A hemp rope is attached for easy access when needed! The round disc in which a rope was threaded through. Is mounted by small pegs. There is a tiny crack on the handle proper. On each side. This can be seen on the photos, just above the round threader disc! Not a serious crack! Tool measures 5 1/2" long. 1 3/4" diam at bottom tapering to 1 1/4" diam at the top This is unusual.
