This antique bed certainly looks the part, and while it is in overall good condition, it does have a few items worth mentioning. The paint is flaking(see photos) and there is some surface rust, though this is nothing that will affect the display quality or functionality of the bed itself. At some point in its long history. The brass top bar was lost from the footboard. This again does not affect the stability of the bed. We have assembled it for show on several occasions, and all the parts fit perfectly and without the use of bolts or screws(again see photos) This, combined with the attached metal wheels, makes it easy to move around and store as well. The bed measures 79 inches long and 53 3/4 inches wide. With the actual bed frame coming out at 79 inches long, 54 1/2 inches wide, and 52 inches tall to the bed knob. Our research shows this will work with a full or double mattress, though bidders should be sure of the size of their mattresses before bidding, just to be sure. ANTIQUE FRENCH BED Twin Walnut Louis XVth Hand Carved Accents
Antique French Louis XVth bed. Twin size We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this French Louis XVth bed. This Antique Louis XVth bed was brought over from France by the shop owners. It is made of Walnut. And has some beautiful carvings and trim accents. The feet are hand carved, as is accent piece centered on the top of the headboard. The craftsmanship is very impressive, I really like the way the clever design the builder built in, the rail to headboard, and footboard assemblies. The cap rail moulding on the headboard and footboard is beautiful, as are the gracefully curved appliqué trim accents, and the chevron veneers. The headboard measures 58 inches wide. 61 3/4 inches tall(including the carving) and the cap rail is 2 inches thick. The footboard measures 57 inches wide, 38 1/4 inches tall, and the cap ... morerail is 2 inches thick. The side bed rails are 73 3/4 inches long. This bed is an antique French short twin. So it will accommodate a mattress that measures 53 X 72 inches. Condition- The overall condition of this bed is good. But it is an antique, and as such there are a few issues. The most glaring is the attempted repair, and use of a white wood filler on the inside panel of the foot board, a skilled craftsperson could apply a matching veneer to cover this situation. There is a nonstructural crack in the footboard cap rail moulding located just about at it's center. And there is a, approximately 5 inch long, very narrow void between the footboard panel and the bottom of the cap rail(see pictures provided) On the head board there is a long diagonal depression on the upper right panel of the headboard(see pictures) There is also some warping in the veneer on the lower right portion of the headboard, that would be masked by the box spring and matress. And of coarse the non-standard size of the frame will require some modifications in order to accommodate a modern mattress. This Antique French bed frame is a very beautiful piece of furniture. The exquisite craftsmanship, and the use of very early construction techniques points us to its very early origin. Beautiful dark West Indie mahogany wood was carved and constructed by hand. Its tier shaped headboard is masterfully carved with attention to detail in every scalloped edge. Horned posts at the end of the bed are carved with the same exquisite techniques. The artist who sculpted the furniture was very skilled in his craft and every detail was done by their own hand using wooden carving tools. The claw feet are large in scale and very proportionate to the bed. The Bed frame is incredibly old and rare to be found in this fair condition. The legs show minor scratches however are missing a few chips of wood here and these. The headboard has been reinforced over the years by a simple"V" brace constructed from wood with modern day screws(the only modern screw in the whole bed frame are the few used to anchor the brace to the back of the headboard. ANTIQUE UNUSUAL AND LOVELY EMBROIDERED COVERLET FOR TWIN BED
Straight from a Vermont estate. We have never seen a coverlet quite like this one. Our guess is that it dates from about 1900- 1920. The size of the coverlet is 88 inches x 64 inches. So it is for a twin bed and looks wonderful on one. The fabric of the coverlet seems to be a light cotton that has a homemade look. The embroidery of bluebirds and flowers is all over. But what is so intriguing is the all-over white embroidery that covers the white surface of the fabric. So the entire coverlet is totally covered in two different types of embroidery. And if that is not enough, there is a wonderful hand-made fringe that goes all around three of the four sides. The condition seems to be just about perfect. No odors or stains.

Antique Twin Rope Beds
Two Beautiful rope twin beds. Circa early 1800s, from New England. The beds are maple, have cannonball-shaped posts with tapered legs, and original wood finish. They come with mattresses(one mattress is horse hair) There are metal brackets installed which securely hold the box springs in place. Currently. Plywood is inserted on the brackets to provide support for the mattresses, however if a box spring is installed, there's no need for the plywood. Of course you can add rope as originally intended. I have a 1979 appraisal stating the value for both beds at $1100. These beds will have to be picked up from my residence in Central Florida.

This is a Pair of Antique Beds. All wood, believed carved, And hand painted with florals. As shown. Here's what I know for sure, These were carried from Wyoming to Oregon. Where they are located now. I don't know how they got to Wyoming. Maybe by wagon train( These beds are not damaged. And not dirty. They are just mighty aged. And have not been restored. So, authentic chic'n shabby, as shown. My intention. Was to strip and refinish. But that didn't happen. I kept these beds on hand for extra guests. Each has 2" wide Steel'L' shape brackets to hold a platform. And I just added a 3/4" thick strand board from Home Depot. Cut short for ease to 32" x 72" And these hold a ton. No prob. These beds come apart. 4 pieces each, and are easy to assemble by hand. I do not know that these size beds are called ... moretwin. I believe that they. Are a little longer and a bit narrower. These were made using Thick Wood. The Side Rails are 1.5" thick. Antique Highback Eastlake Twin Headboard & Footboard Bed Sets
You are bidding a beautiful pair of Antique Highback'Eastlake' beds. These beds were being used as a King Size Bed but they are really two twin beds. They are in good condition based on there age. They measure approximately 79" High x 35" Wide x 4" Deep. Each bed has two heavy duty wood side rails and 4 wood cross slats. I have taken several pictures of each bed. I found some wood peeling and scratches on the bottom of ea. headboard but it can't be seen once mattress are on the beds. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any further questions.

Antique Carved Wood Twin Headboard Pair
Set of 2 carved.Twin size mahogany headboards. Had taken photos to Bonham& Butterfield's in San Francisco and was told these would have been made in the late 1800's-up to 1910, here in the United States, of Mahogany. Both hand carved and machine tooled. They have a dark, rich brown stain. Considering their age, they are in very good condition. The round peg dowels which connect the main body to the side posts are loose and one is missing. There were additional pieces of wood bolted to the lower legs: i believe for attaching to a wall previously. I was given these 15 years ago and have had them stored in my basement workroom:which is dry and ventilated,so they have not endured overly hot and dry,nor damp conditions. Both have various nicks and scratches due to normal wear and tear throughout the years; but would be hardly noticeable ... morewith a good polishing. Vintage 1880s pair French regency neoclassical twin beds with custom mattresses and box-springs ordered to fit antique beds. These beds are ready to be used. MEASUREMENTS: The beds are 80 inches long 42 inches wide at the headboard and 40 inches wide at the footboard. The headboard is 64 inches tall including the crown the footboard is 30 inches tall. The mattresses are 73.5 inches long and 34.5 inches wide. LET’S TALK CONDITION: Excellent condition for the age. Much better than what is typically found beds of this type and era, ready to use very clean and with a wonderful patina to the wood. With the original slats, no replacement wood no discoloration no significant or structural damage. Antique Jenny Lind walnut spool twin bed with slats 100+ yrs in my family
You are b idding on an antique Jenny Lind spool bed in twin size. This bed has been in my family for at least 5 generations. When I was a little girl my sister and I needed beds(this was about 1963) So my grandparents went into the old brick one-room schoolhouse on their property, which they used as a storage shed. These beds had been stored in there for at least 60 years by that time. It is a twin bed frame. Included are: headboard. Foot board, original wood side rails, original slats(which were made from antique wood floor boards by my great-grand-father) There is original metal hardware to connect the side rails to the head and foot board- it is a metal keyhole slot. I have tried to photo graph its condition as accurately as I can. For such a well-used piece. Its overall condition is pretty good. The finish is worn. Which I personally ... morelove, but you could paint it too. There is a missing ch unk out of the foot board"shoulder" which is about 1 inch by 2 inches. It still works fine. But needs to be filled with wood putty or similar to make it look better. A few places have been glued back together over the years. There are numerous screw holes from people putting the bed together, although it will assemble without the screws. The wood slats simply set into the niches of the side rails. They can be screwed into place for a more permanent solution. The second bed is being offered in a separate listing. For parts. Sadly, it has not weathered as well as its mate. A mid 19th century rope bed in walnut. Normal wear and tear for a piece of furniture from the Civil Wear era- plenty of dings. Scratches, wear and tear. Approximate measurements follow: 44.5" tall at the headboard, 31" tall at the footboard, and 17" tall at the rails. The total width is 33" and the width inside the rails is 27.5" The total length is 76.25" and the length inside the rails is 70" We do not know the maker or the region of origin. While it is not a modern bed cut to modern sizing, the prior owner had a twin mattress on top of it and it fit and worked for her. Gorgeous antique French twin bed. Made entirely of metal with cast decorations. This bed has been skillfully painted with a faux-bois design giving the impression of richly grained woods. The head and footboards have then been further decorated with brightly colored flowers highlighted in gold. The elegant scrollwork that crowns the tops of each end features a crowned shield braced by two sirens or mermaids and the four feet have been cast in a dolphin or fish shape. This rare and beautiful piece most likely dates from the mid to late 19th century. The custom made cushion is newer. Overall the bed is in good antique condition. Antique renaissance twin bed in walnut - ORIGINAL FINISH
I had to have it when I saw this because it is a magical bed to me. Unfortunately. It would make too much of a presence in my daughters room(1978 home) I am known for my good eye and this is a really good piece but my husband gets cranky to see his garage space taken up and I don't think I will have the right home for this bed. I checked and it does fit a twin mattress. The bed comes apart and I can ship it but that is up to you and at your expense. This is for a very rare and very hard to find solid wood antique spindle bed. Wheels on the bottom with cast iron. Heavy side rails. This is an antique twin bed. Marked VONG on the rails. No other manufacturer name. Very, very old, dating to late 1800s or early 1900s. Normal surface wear. Small dent on the headboard, can be fixed, by sanding and staining if wanted, see photo, it can be repaired. This bed is gorgeous a one-of-a-kind and very, very hard to find. Rails no longer have the screws or bolts to attached, but they can be purchased and installed separately. Circa Late 1800s. We are selling the foot-board. The headboard and the two side rails only. Bed has wheels on bottom. Measures: Headboard- 48" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. Foot-board- 41" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. The iron rails measure 75 1/4" ... morelong and when assembled it will sit 11" up from the floor. The cast iron frame is stamped: VONG Considered to be in excellent antique condition with all the spindles firmly in place. Wheels firmly attached, will need polishing. There is normal antique surface wear and minor scratches here and there. Normal surface wear, there are small scratches on the frames, see photos. Hi There: We recently moved& downsized. I know longer have a way to display my beautiful antiques so I am listing almost all my collections. I will be listing over the next few weeks. To include not only dolls& teddy bears but many of my other small collections as well. I hope many of you will come back once you see the quality& care these beautiful items are. Thanks for looking. Today for your consideration is 2 authentic late 1800's antique beds. This is my favorite all time items, that I have ever owned& I doubt you will ever find such a French Shabby Cottage Chic beds like these again even on eBay! Look at the barbola(embelishments) I believe all hand carved! Shabby hippy white paint dripping with garlands of romantic roses& flowers etc. Tall, tall headboards, look at the bonnets, These are not your average Victorian ... moretwin beds. Not by a long shot. Even the greeneries look almost Italian or Roman like designs. Little turned legs& curves everywhere. This is my very best treasure& hurry& get them before I change my mind: I am thinking hubby could make it into a king by connecting the two.but before I alter it, I think I should give ebayers a shot as it is all original(well not the shabby paint of course) right now& I would hate to alter any antique. By the way, the seller I bought it from did not have the rails but that is no biggy. And if you can not find some it is so easy to buy bunk bed rails at a garage sale& then all you do is make/drill out 2 screw holes on each lower area near where the rails go on& put the bolts& nuts& presto changeo you have perfect MATCHING twin beds! Of course you might want to repaint. The seller never got around to painting the one footboard. Neither did I. If you ever dreamed of owning the BEST authentic antique French looking, cottage chic twin beds then you better grab them before I change my mind: Unfortunately I cannot ship: If you know a shipper, go for it but we live in a tiny town on the west coast so we can not do it.
