Sometimes you see these with a dog carved in them, but this is unique with the fruit basket. This table was really dry when we brought it in, it has been sanded down, over-stained it, and then re-lacquered it to bring out the gorgeous luster of the walnut from the Victorian era of the 1880s. Spectacular Gothic Victorian carved Walnut Bed & marble top dresser 1860 Lincoln
This two piece bedroom suite is from the 1 86 0's in the Gothic style made famous by the"Lincoln Bed" It is a beautiful. Dark solid walnut with much graceful carving and paneled burl accents. A ll pieces are the same color-the variation in the photos is from the lighting and light coming in the w indow by the footboard-and the distance from my camera. This elegant set consists of the headboard. 7" tall, the footboard, curved) and the two footrails with original metal braces and side extensions. We have the bed set up as a queen. With a Q-metal frame, but you can see the slots on each side of the headboard where the side rail extensions fit. With the rails and footboard, it makes a full-size bed with full-length mattress and box springs. Also in the set is the beautiful dresser, with three wide drawers, original carved pulls, ... morewhite veined marble top, spectacular mirro r and-yes-a secret drawer! The dresser has a few dings. But nothing missing. The left candle shelf is a little wiggly and I would tighten it before you put a valuable candle stick on there. The Gothic bedroom set can be picked-up.
