These beds are ready to be ... moreused. MEASUREMENTS: The beds are 80 inches long 42 inches wide at the headboard and 40 inches wide at the footboard. The headboard is 64 inches tall including the crown the footboard is 30 inches tall. The mattresses are 73.5 inches long and 34.5 inches wide. LET’S TALK CONDITION: Excellent condition for the age. Much better than what is typically found beds of this type and era, ready to use very clean and with a wonderful patina to the wood. With the original slats, no replacement wood no discoloration no significant or structural damage. The head side of the rails on each bed have a missing part of the decorative designee and the other rail with one intact and one repaired(see the third photo) One of the footboards has chips on the base of the columns(see last photo) and this footboard also has some loose joints giving it some slight pay, less than typical for antique bedframes. This circa 1830s child's doll bed is in fabulous condition. Rare piece. Since most of these I see are Victorian. Hand made in walnut with a beautiful scroll-cut headboard. Mortise and tenon construction. I put a pillow on it and used it as a cat bed for awhile. A few minor scratches and still a bit dusty. This early 1800's child's bed is from a Bellevue Estate I bought it at the Auction. It is a wonderful bed frame, Only the head and foot board- the bed has one partial spindle which I showed in the photo broken and one chunk out of the under side that doesnt really show but it does need some glue or restoration if you want it for show otherwise it looks fine and as it should for being about 200 years old. Somebody has made sure this little bed will go with any color. I'm positive under that paint is some really beautiful oak and judging by the saw marks on the bottom and top of the legs. I'm pretty certain it is homemade. I doubt a company would have tried to sell the bed with the saw marks still on the bed. You can paint it a different color or strip the paint off and see some beautiful oak or leave it as is. It's good and solid, well built. You just don't see these everyday. This is a beautiful C 1840 rope doll bed or salesman sample. It has a ticking covered mattress and is in excellent condition. The rope could be tightened a bit but other than that I see no flaws. This was found at a doll collectors estate. Measures 17"L X 9"H. This size of bed is very difficult to find. It is perfect for antique bisque or composition babies.

VICTORIAN OAK ROCKING CRADLE 1800's series Antique Child or Doll Bed
Beautiful Victorian era- 18th century cradle. It was made in America near Lancaster Pennsylvania. This rocking cradle is definitely hand made. And most likely Amish built. Notice per the attached pictures, the ornate curves& designs that express the true workmanship of the maker. It measures as follows: 38" L x 30" W x 24" H and weighs approximately 40 lbs. You will find this to be a very solid piece of antique furniture, and more often you will find this type of cradle being used as decorator pieces with quilts, or dolls in them.
