So my appologies. Here we go again. This listing is for a really quite spectacular circa 1850 very elaborate apprentice cabinet circa 1850 or so. The cabinet measures 19 inches high by 16 inches across and 8 inches deep. 48 by 40 by 20 cm) The cabinet has 4 wallpaper lined drawers. Each drawer has a brass escutcheon and two round wood pulls each with a brass star. The cabinet is mahogany with the top. Front and both sides covered in marquetry work. The marquetry work is at least 6 different woods including olive and fruit woods. The drawers are flanked by columns with fancy capitals and bases. The whole sits on 4 bun feet. As you can see by the photographs the cabinet is a really beautiful example of"proof" that an apprentice had achieved mastery of his cabinet making skills. The condition is also exceptional for it's age and virtually untouched as far as restorations or repairs. The drawers maintain their original wall paper interiors. There are two relatively pieces of marquetry work missing on the top but otherwise the cabinet is in really fine shape. Shipping anywhere in the US via UPS Ground with full insurance is $30.00. Antique 3 piece bedroom suite of cottage furniture in my family for over 100 yrs
This is a 3 piece bedroom suite of cottage style with German influence design in hand paintings. Don't know the medium used. It went to Pearl City, Il. from parts east in early to mid 1800s. My Dad was born on the bed in 1898 and my sister in 1932. All 3 pieces have been in constant use since its beginning and still is. The time has come for me to let someone else add to it's history. See all pictures as they show what I am going to print. The dresser is 40" wide, and 76 1/2" high including casters(porcelain& iron) and glove box and mirror. Mirror and glove box are held onto top with wooden pegs going thru holes in marble. Wooden spirals hold mirror in frame, one knob on one spiral is missing part of it, many years ago, break is completely oxidized. Mirror needs resilvering or replaced. I have no key for the locking ... moremechanisms in the drawers. The marble on dresser and wash stand has some scratches and a couple of pits in wash stand stop, no breaks; back edge is rough but not broken. Drawers are dove tailed. One drawer pull recently broke in half and I have repaired it. The wash stand is 32" wide and 30 3/4" high and 18 1/4" deep. Back splash has been missing for at least 80 years. Cupboard is divided into 3 compartments, there is one drawer. The bed accommdates a full size mattress. Scuff marks, scratches and wear marks on on side boards and bottom of legs, general wear overall. The wooden slats are not all original. I offer local pick up only. I got these beds from an old farm house in Ohio. I was told the first one was a rope style bed so that is what I am calling it. The bed has some scratches and wear because it is very old. It looks to be in original condition. I have added lots of pics so you can see the condition.Both are a bed and a half or 3/4 sized which ever you prefer to call them(about four inches smaller than a full sized bed) The second bed I have just added to the listing also came from the same house. This bed has been in my family for four generations. My grandmothers(grandmother born in 1918) mother was born on this bed. The only history I have on it is that it is from Europe. It is a 3/4 bed appraised in 1992 at $900. It has been in storage all this time waiting to go to a good home. Has rub marks here& there but is still beautiful. It just needs a good home! I have been told this 1800'S bed is made of ash which typical for this time period but I do not know. In light of this beds age please know it has been glued in some areas. It appears to be handmade, with excellent craftsmanship, however, it is very old, and does have scuffs, scratches, and cracks typical of antique post beds of this age. All pieces of the bed, including the head board, foot board, and two rails are original. The bed can be put together and also taken apart very easily, and the frame has multiple holes ready for roping. A great piece for any situation.

Vintage Antique VICTORIAN 3/4 BED w/ORIGINAL SPRINGS
This is a turn-of-the-century(not sure if late 1800's or early 1900's) VICTORIAN 3/4 BED in GOOD CONDITION. Consists of a moderately ornate Headboard(shown behind the twin bed) Footboard, Original Springs, and Side-rails. It was originally purchased in Ohio or Michigan, not sure where it was made. It belonged to my great-grandmother, who lived from the 1880's to early 1940's, but unfortunately I don't have space for it, as you can see by the pictures! There are mattress manufactures you can find on the internet who make custom-size mattresses for the same cost as standard sizes. This finish has a curving 8" long x 1/2" wide scratch and a few light water spots on the headboard. And light water spots on the footboard(no damage to the wood) One of the side-rails has been split and was amateurishly repaired over ... more50 years ago. All the built-in metal hardware is in very good condition. I don't know what kind of wood it is- it is very light-weight because it is so old. The original finish was the bumpy black finish common to Victorian furniture; it was refinished in the 1960's. Because of the age of this bed. I would only recommend it for gentle use by a person weighing less than 200 lbs. Approximate Measurements at largest points: Headboard- 55"H x 52"W x 2"D. Solid walnut is accented with burl panels. The finish is in excellent condition with warm patina and a few mars at the edges for antique character. Antique Walnut Jenny Lind 3/4 Size Spool Bed - Good Condition - Early 1900s
This was purchased prior to 1930 by my grandmother. It is a Jenny Lind style 3/4 spool bed in solid walnut in very good condition. I did not like the dark finish and had it stripped to the natural finish. It comes with the original metal springs and the mattress. Full-sized sheets work well. The mattress was unfortunately damaged by water from when it was in my condo storage unit. It was a very small amount of water. But it damaged the one of the short ends of the mattress. The damage looks to be possibly from rust from the frame inside that material. That said, I want to keep it wrapped in the plastic so I don't want to check further. Mattress companies can find 3/4 mattresses if this one doesn't meet your needs. I dismantled the bed a few years ago and all of the pieces(but the box springs) And the mattress, have been wrapped in ... moreplastic from the moving company since then. I do not want to remove the plastic, so I did not put the bed back together for an assembled picture. The entire bed consists of a head board and foot board 38" high by 53.5" wide by 2.5" deep; side rails 72.5" long; nine slats to place under the metal box springs. The box springs could likely be placed on the rails without the slats, but the slats add stability and my family has always used them. Finally, the mattress is included.

Antique Ornate Early Victorian Brass Floral Bed 3/4 size
Ornate Victorian Brass Bed for sale. This is one of a kind! This piece has vivacious curves and a flowing floral pattern with beads, shells and drapery that adds a large amount of character to this bed. There is a headboard and foot board, and each one was done with precision and care.The details on this piece can not be appreciated in a photo as much as in person, it is so unique. It is a 3/4 size which is in between a full and a twin size, which was not uncommon during this period. I had a firm mattress made for this bed about 5 years ago, which has been slept on a total of a dozen times. It was in my spare bedroom for the last twenty years. I bought it from an estate in Kentucky years ago! It has its original rails which were made from a heavy industrial steel. If I had to guess this bed weighs between 300-400 lbs. It would be a pick up ... morepurchase only.I couldn't image what shipping cost would be on an item like this! The condition of this is near excellent.with minor scratches from years of dusting. This is a beautiful antique Victorian bed with great wood work detail. Overall the bed is very strong when put together. The bed stands 75 7/8 tall at the center of the crown on the head board. It is 57 1/4" wide. the foot board is 34" tall. it has three strong regular old wooden slats and wooden side rails.

Victorian Queen Size 3 Pc. Antique 1880 Walnut Bedroom Set. A spectacular Victorian period carved bedroom set from around 1880 includes a queen size bed plus a bedside chest and dresser with mirror. Both with marble tops. Solid walnut with matched burl panels. The rich deep finish is excellent. American made antique furniture, hardware is original. Drawers have"pin and cove" or round dovetail joints, characteristic of the era. Marble tops have minor stains and have been polished and sealed for protection. The dresser marble has been repaired and the small chest marble has plugged holes near the back, see photos. The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit. The demonstrator set is 16" thick together as shown. Wood slats underneath are included. 1880's French Antique 3 piece bedroom suite
1880's French antique bedroom set purchased in France 12 years ago. Very nice patina, brass accents on armoire, bed frame and nightstand. Three door armoire with mirror, interior has four shelves and three drawers. Wood is walnut and clean. Bed is full/queen size. Nightstand has marble top. 72 inches wide, 21 inches deep and approximately 89 inches tall. Mirror is original and has a small imperfection but no cracks or chips. Up for auction is an antique eastlake style 3/4 bed from circa 1880. It has been painted in the shabby chic style. It measures 42" wide from rail to rail. 76" long from rail to rail and 69"tall at the tallest point of headboard. I'm not sure what kind of wood there is under the crackle finish. I used a twin size mattress in this bed and had about 1 1/2" space on either side. But you could have a mattress made if desired. This is a one of a kind bed! Very"princess" like.
