Antique 3 piece bedroom suite of cottage furniture in my family for over 100 yrs
This is a 3 piece bedroom suite of cottage style with German influence design in hand paintings. Don't know the medium used. It went to Pearl City, Il. from parts east in early to mid 1800s. My Dad was born on the bed in 1898 and my sister in 1932. All 3 pieces have been in constant use since its beginning and still is. The time has come for me to let someone else add to it's history. See all pictures as they show what I am going to print. The dresser is 40" wide, and 76 1/2" high including casters(porcelain& iron) and glove box and mirror. Mirror and glove box are held onto top with wooden pegs going thru holes in marble. Wooden spirals hold mirror in frame, one knob on one spiral is missing part of it, many years ago, break is completely oxidized. Mirror needs resilvering or replaced. I have no key for the locking ... moremechanisms in the drawers. The marble on dresser and wash stand has some scratches and a couple of pits in wash stand stop, no breaks; back edge is rough but not broken. Drawers are dove tailed. One drawer pull recently broke in half and I have repaired it. The wash stand is 32" wide and 30 3/4" high and 18 1/4" deep. Back splash has been missing for at least 80 years. Cupboard is divided into 3 compartments, there is one drawer. The bed accommdates a full size mattress. Scuff marks, scratches and wear marks on on side boards and bottom of legs, general wear overall. The wooden slats are not all original. I offer local pick up only. Antique queen size four poster bed with top rail
Beautiful antique queen sized bed made of solid mahogany. The bed was assembled from two antique single four poster beds from the early 19th century by a master carpenter. In addition to the four posts the bed has a carbed rail that goes all the way around the top of the bed. The bed can be disassembled into eight pieces for transport. I couldn't get a photo of the entire bed because the bed is in a smallish room and I don't have a wide angle lens on my camera. The bed was valued at $1000- $1500 twenty years ago by an expert appraiser. So this is a true bargain. The bed is in excellent condition. There is a small sliver of wood missing from the top rail but it is not noticeable because it occurred before the bed was assembled and refinished. Local pickup only or delivery in the D.C. area for the cost of a rental truck.

The detailing is wonderful. With a sweet inlaid picture of two doves cooing on the headboard. The old crib comes with a modern foam rubber mattress that is easy to clean. At the foot. There’s a lever and string device that allows two latches to engage, stopping all rocking action. This kind of crib was the height of safety when made. This circa 1830s child's doll bed is in fabulous condition. Rare piece. Since most of these I see are Victorian. Hand made in walnut with a beautiful scroll-cut headboard. Mortise and tenon construction. I put a pillow on it and used it as a cat bed for awhile. A few minor scratches and still a bit dusty. Bed measure about 28 inches long by 21 inches tall by 20 inches wide. Weighs about 14 pounds. US shipping will vary from about $60 to $100, depending on buyer's location. You are looking at a stunning. Rare antique solid oak with Burl Walnut Jacobean refectory/dining table and chairs. The table is pre 1879 and is from England. It has Barley twist legs and self-enclosed leaves/extenders. It is in excellent condition. The chairs have only been recovered. But the finish is original to our knowledge(we've owned these pieces for over 40 years) Extending boards are in perfect working order. The table measures 40" wide and just under 64" long. Each extender is 28" long. Making this table a generous and spacious 120" 10 ft. long when extended! The chairs are 2 different designs. 3 of each design. Iron on materials could cover this and then a mattress cover would protect it more. Other than that, it is in excellent extra- firm condition. No stains. Antique 1800's Rope Bed, cherry, turned rails, Pennsylvania origin, great style
Bought many years ago in Pennsylvania Dutch countryside. A great condition rope bed. Very fancy turned railings on the head and foot boards. All of the rope pegs are intact. Appears to be hand carved. A pair of braces was added to the side rails to help hold it together. These can easily be removed. All wood- no nails used in construction, only pegs. Solid cherry- with some of the planking more than a foot wide. Very old- each corner has roman numerals scored in it to match the bed rails. A really great antique piece of history! Local pickup only

Antique English Oak Headboard Footboard with Barley Twist mod for Queen Mattress
Youare bidding on a BEAUTIFUL Antique English Oak Headboard and Footboard Set with rails modified to fit Queen Mattresses. I am not an antique expert or dealer. But I was told when I purchased this set that it is Victorian Style English Oak(medium)manufactured in England in the late 1800's. Both pieces are 54" Wide and 1.75" Deep on corner posts. Thinner across the back. The headboard is 53.25"High and the footboard is 27.25" High. Both have a diamond design in the center panel. And 1.5" slats out to the sides, with Barley Twist on the ends of the headboard only. There is a small screw(hardly noticeable) at the very bottom of the left footboard foot, where it had once had a small crack, but now fixed and solid. Since they did not have Queen beds back 1800's. The rails have been modified to fit a Queen mattress, ... moreso the mattress hangs about 2-3"off either side of the bed. This is a beautiful bench that was made from an antique rope bed. Look up the history of the rope bed its interesting. The bench is 36" tall x 42" wide x 19 1/2" deep. It has a custom made cushion. It has some dings and scratches showing its age. It also has some other character details. see pic# 5. The back posts have matching wear on the top points almost like it was planned. The last pic shows the bench under the cushion. The cushion has a zipper on it. I have the zipper facing forward in the pics just to show that it is there. Antique Victorian Eastlake 3 pc Bedroom Set circa 1890's
3 piece Victorian Eastlake bedroom set consisting of headboard. Footboard, side rails, marble top dresser with mirror, and marble top commode/vanity. The nightstand in the picture is not part of the set, but would be willing to work a deal if you were interested in it. I don't know much about antique furniture, this has been lovingly used in our family since it was acquired in the 1930's. It probably dates back to the 1890's, and everything is in its original state since we have owned it, I cannot tell before that. I think the wood is mahogany. The drawers are dovetailed. The headboard is an impressive 84" tall and 54" wide. And 79" long. The bed uses a 3/4 size mattress. Mattress and box springs included if desired) The footboard is 36" high. The dresser is 90" tall. The bottom part measures 30" ... morehigh x 38" at its widest point. The marble top is 41" x 19" The commode is 30" x 31" The marble top is 31 1/2" x 30" and the backsplash is 5" high. This set shows signs of age and being used. Although nothing major, no cracks, etc. and the marble is in good shape. For about the last 40 years it was just used as a guest bedroom set. I would prefer local pickup. It is currently in Little Falls NY, 13365) although you are welcome to arrange your own shipping, and pay them directly and separately from the winning bid. ANTIQUE ROPE BED C.1840 -1870 SOLID WALNUT WOOD CONVERTED NEW RAILS FULL-SIZE
Details: An antique c.1840-1870 handmade solid walnut rope bed. The bed has been converted from being a rope bed. Holes plugged, and fitted with newer solid wood rails to accommodate a full-size mattress set. The headboard and footboard are identical in size and style. Each one is made using two walnut panels, topped by a rolling pin crest, flanked by low, solid posts that feature mushroom-cap finials. The finish is original. Showing age appropriate patina, more so to the footboard where the finish is lighter along the top due to blankets being hung over it for many years. The overall condition is very good, only issues to report are minor scuffs and an old split in one wood panel on the footboard, wood contracting? The split does not affect the stability of the bed at all, and I mention it only for accuracy. The joints could use some glue, ... morebut otherwise the bed is very sturdy when set up and looks fantastic. A great bed for a guest room. Outstanding Spooned Carved Victorian Eastlake Solid Oak Fancy Highback Bed c1890's Being offered for sale is this outstanding Spoon Carved Victorian Eastlake Solid Oak Fancy Highback Bed circa 1890's. This splendid antique bed features gorgeous spoon carved flowers. Flowing incised carvings and a fancy plumage and scroll crest on the head-board with the foot-board offering the same beautiful spoon carvings and incised carvings as the head-board. This bed measures 73 inches tall at the head-board. 33 inches tall at the foot-board, height of the sides rails at the center top to the floor measures 15 1/4 inches. The outside width of this bed measures 58 inches and the outside length measures 81 inches. The inside mattress area measures 54 inches wide by 76 inches long and should fit a full size mattress set nicely, but I recommend measuring ... moreyour own set to assure proper fit. This bed weighs approximately 110 lbs total. This bed sets up very tight and solid and has a beautiful presence. The side rails are solid oak and were very nicely crafted at some point in time to replace the older side-rails so that todays mattress sizes of a full would fit properly. The craftsmanship of the rails are spectacular with attention to detail making these exactly like the rails that would have been in place originally.
