Vintage baby cradle that was given to us about 25 years ago by an older family member to use for our new baby. At that time. It was over 100 years old, so now it is at least 125 years old! It is made of wood. Although the inside bottom was replaced. There is a very small crack on the headboard-could be easily repaired. There are some scratches and wear on the finish-I tried to show this in photos. There are metal"brakes" to keep cradle from rocking if desired. Feet are ceramic. And there is a bit of rust on metal casters. Up for bid is a beautiful very old iron bed that we have had in a guest room for about 25 or 30 years. Don't think it has been slept on more than a dozen times. The mattress is much newer. It has head and food board. Drop in locking rails with ledges for slats; slats are included as well The mattress is a super firm mattress, but from just being stored has a frayed section on one side. Iron on materials could cover this and then a mattress cover would protect it more. Other than that, it is in excellent extra- firm condition. No stains. I got these beds from an old farm house in Ohio. I was told the first one was a rope style bed so that is what I am calling it. The bed has some scratches and wear because it is very old. Listing tonight is a very nice Antique spool bed from the 1890's. It has classic details and the headboard makes a great statement. It takes an antique mattress[ not a standard size] It measures 47 inches between the wood rails and takes a mattress that measures 47 inches x 72 inches long. It measures 51 inches to the peak of the headboard and 48 inches to top of footboard. The sides are mortise and tenon construction that has a through bolt to pull it tight. The bolts are replacements and make a solid bed for your log cabin or loft. There are heavy duty steel angle irons that hold the box spring in place and at one time a rope support was used. The bed sits up high for tons of under bed storage. These mattresses are sold at Gardner Mattress outlets that are all over Massachusetts. Somebody has made sure this little bed will go with any color. I'm positive under that paint is some really beautiful oak and judging by the saw marks on the bottom and top of the legs. I'm pretty certain it is homemade. I doubt a company would have tried to sell the bed with the saw marks still on the bed. You can paint it a different color or strip the paint off and see some beautiful oak or leave it as is. It's good and solid, well built. Vintage Antique VICTORIAN 3/4 BED w/ORIGINAL SPRINGS
This is a turn-of-the-century(not sure if late 1800's or early 1900's) VICTORIAN 3/4 BED in GOOD CONDITION. Consists of a moderately ornate Headboard(shown behind the twin bed) Footboard, Original Springs, and Side-rails. It was originally purchased in Ohio or Michigan, not sure where it was made. It belonged to my great-grandmother, who lived from the 1880's to early 1940's, but unfortunately I don't have space for it, as you can see by the pictures! There are mattress manufactures you can find on the internet who make custom-size mattresses for the same cost as standard sizes. This finish has a curving 8" long x 1/2" wide scratch and a few light water spots on the headboard. And light water spots on the footboard(no damage to the wood) One of the side-rails has been split and was amateurishly repaired over ... more50 years ago. All the built-in metal hardware is in very good condition. I don't know what kind of wood it is- it is very light-weight because it is so old. The original finish was the bumpy black finish common to Victorian furniture; it was refinished in the 1960's. Because of the age of this bed. I would only recommend it for gentle use by a person weighing less than 200 lbs. Approximate Measurements at largest points: Headboard- 55"H x 52"W x 2"D. A mid 19th century rope bed in walnut. Normal wear and tear for a piece of furniture from the Civil Wear era- plenty of dings. Scratches, wear and tear. Approximate measurements follow: 44.5" tall at the headboard, 31" tall at the footboard, and 17" tall at the rails. The total width is 33" and the width inside the rails is 27.5" The total length is 76.25" and the length inside the rails is 70" We do not know the maker or the region of origin. This is a Gorgeous Antique Brass and Iron Full Size Bed. I believe it was made in the late 1800's or very early 1900's but I'm not an expert. Great for decorating a spare room. We've had this bed for over 40 years and I hate to part with it but we have recently re-done our spare room and just don't have room for it any longer. The pictures just don't do it justice. We have never seen another that is so exquisitely decorated with brass on both the head and foot as this one is and in as good condition. Vintage Full Size Brass Bed and Rails with Great Patina
This natural brass bed with a copper patina is in good condition. I have owned the bed approximately 40 years. But know it is much older than that. The rail on the left(if standing at the end of the bed) has been soldered upside down so the mattress does not fit into the groove(See pictures) The box springs does rest evenly on the slats because they extend past the edge of each rail. The Sealy box springs and mattress(smoke free home)are in very good condition, and come with the bed.

Vintage China& Brass JELLYMOULD Victorian Bed Knob An unusual Victorian China& Brass JELLYMOULD BED KNOB. It is very ornate and has diamond patent marks on both the china and brass parts. It measures two-and-five-eighths inches high. And one-and-seven-eighths inches in diameter. China part has crazing to glaze and some minor chips at base where brass is clipped over. But otherwise looks very good. Brass part has some age cracking at'neck' but is still strong enough to use. Hole is about 3/8" diameter but thread looks worn. Much of the original lacquer remains and it has not been repolished. Thread could be repaired by soldering a thick washer to base and recutting thread, or filling with epoxy resin.
