Condition: New other (see details) Location: Sunbury, United States Vintage 1880s pair French regency neoclassical twin beds with custom mattresses and box-springs ordered to fit antique beds. These beds are ready to be ... moreused. MEASUREMENTS: The beds are 80 inches long 42 inches wide at the headboard and 40 inches wide at the footboard. The headboard is 64 inches tall including the crown the footboard is 30 inches tall. The mattresses are 73.5 inches long and 34.5 inches wide. LET’S TALK CONDITION: Excellent condition for the age. Much better than what is typically found beds of this type and era, ready to use very clean and with a wonderful patina to the wood. With the original slats, no replacement wood no discoloration no significant or structural damage. The head side of the rails on each bed have a missing part of the decorative designee and the other rail with one intact and one repaired(see the third photo) One of the footboards has chips on the base of the columns(see last photo) and this footboard also has some loose joints giving it some slight pay, less than typical for antique bedframes. Please see the extreme close-up photos in the gallery view at the top of the listing page to view all the details. As always. Antique Twin Rope Beds
Two Beautiful rope twin beds. Circa early 1800s, from New England. The beds are maple, have cannonball-shaped posts with tapered legs, and original wood finish. They come with mattresses(one mattress is horse hair) There are metal brackets installed which securely hold the box springs in place. Currently. Plywood is inserted on the brackets to provide support for the mattresses, however if a box spring is installed, there's no need for the plywood. Of course you can add rope as originally intended. I have a 1979 appraisal stating the value for both beds at $1100. These beds will have to be picked up from my residence in Central Florida.

Being presented for sale is this fabulous pair of 19th century Mahogany Turned Twin Beds with Gothic Influence Backs and A Center Bull's Eye Medallion on each head-board and foot-board.These early beds each feature a spool turned head-board with a center bulls eye medallion above the recessed Gothic type arches with half ring turned spindles accenting the recessed panel. Each foot-board features an arched top with carved accents below with a bulls eye medallion at the center flanked by turned finial posts. Each bed measures 49 inches high at the head-board.The foot-board measures 31 1/2 inches high, the side rails measure 20 3/4 inches in height from the floor to the top of the rails. They are in great condition for their age. Vintage 1880s pair French regency neoclassical twin beds with custom mattresses and box-springs ordered to fit antique beds. These beds are ready to be used. MEASUREMENTS: The beds are 80 inches long 42 inches wide at the headboard and 40 inches wide at the footboard. The headboard is 64 inches tall including the crown the footboard is 30 inches tall. The mattresses are 73.5 inches long and 34.5 inches wide. LET’S TALK CONDITION: Excellent condition for the age. Much better than what is typically found beds of this type and era, ready to use very clean and with a wonderful patina to the wood. With the original slats, no replacement wood no discoloration no significant or structural damage. The head side of the rails on each bed have a missing part of the decorative designee and the other rail with one intact and one repaired(see the third ... morephoto) One of the footboards has chips on the base of the columns(see last photo) and this footboard also has some loose joints giving it some slight pay, less than typical for antique bedframes. Frederic Stegmaier occupied the mansion in 1906 and owned Stegmaier Brewing Co. These beds are from the maid’s quarters. Included in the listing are pictures from the actual will and testament showing proof of brass beds being in the maid’s quarters. A magnificent antique French set in a beautiful wood. A walnut color, but I do not know woods. We have owned this for years and bought it from an east coast dealer. We had custom mattress sets made but have few guests. We cannot sell them, but you are welcome to them. Our guests are couples so we want to replace. This is a beautiful set. Each bed is 82.5 inches long x 35.25 wide. Push them together if you like. The side lock(drawers will not open without sides open) even though it appears a normal chest. It is 48.5 wide, 66.5 tall, 21.25 in. Deep. Lovely. Marble top. Each night stand is curved, 36 in. Tall, 18.5 wide, 15.5 in deep. The marble is black. The carved baskets, swags, flowers are applied and gorgeous. Pick up south of Richmond with easy access from I 95. Actual address will be given to the buyer.

Carving on Foot board post, match the craved acanthus leaves on the 4 posts. Box springs and mattresses sit 33’36” off of the floor. They can be lowered to“frame” height for older or younger users by reversing the box spring holders. These were my great grandparents’ beds. My mother inherited them and used them as her guestroom beds. They are in excellent condition.
