We don't list a lot of furniture on eBay. So I'm not sure where to start with this pair of heavy duty iron side rails for an antique brass or cast iron bed. So let's start with some measurements. They are about 74" long and the tapered cones at the ends are about 1" in diameter at the top, tapering down to about ½" at the bottom. Each rail is made up of two parts welded together. The bottom part has the conical fittings to attach to the headboard and footboard, while the upper part serves as a bumper to prevent the slats or box spring from sliding from side to side. They weigh about 20 pounds each. So we're advertising them as"local pickup only" and we are in Cornish, Maine. However, if you really want it shipped to distant parts, then e-mail us prior to bidding, and we'll see what we can ... morenegotiate. I think it's just a matter of finding a cylinder long enough and strong enough to hold them. This is for a very rare and very hard to find solid wood antique spindle bed. Wheels on the bottom with cast iron. Heavy side rails. This is an antique twin bed. Marked VONG on the rails. No other manufacturer name. Very, very old, dating to late 1800s or early 1900s. Normal surface wear. Small dent on the headboard, can be fixed, by sanding and staining if wanted, see photo, it can be repaired. This bed is gorgeous a one-of-a-kind and very, very hard to find. Rails no longer have the screws or bolts to attached, but they can be purchased and installed separately. Circa Late 1800s. We are selling the foot-board. The headboard and the two side rails only. Bed has wheels on bottom. Measures: Headboard- 48" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. Foot-board- 41" tall x 36" wide x 2" deep. The iron rails measure 75 1/4" ... morelong and when assembled it will sit 11" up from the floor. Here is an absolutely gorgeous antique heavy carved walnut high back bed. Modified in overall height of headboard only as described in detailed description of condition above with heavy carving on both the headboard and the foot board, including a figural north wind carved panel on the foot board as shown in close up. This bed is in lovely condition for a late 19th century piece with gorgeous wood, beautiful intricate carvings and built in hardware attaching the oron rails to the headboard and foot board for very easy assembly. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the design, quality, condition and construction as well as the overall beauty and desirability of this fabulous old Victorian era walnut full size bed. This bed stands 65 1/4 inches tall to the top of the headboard and 50 1/4 inches tall ... moreat the top of the footboard and both measure 54 3/4 inches long. The bed travels in four pieces for shipping. The headboard, the footboard and the two 75 inch long iron rails. When set up, the overall dimensions of this bed are 64 1/4 inches tall by 54 3/4 inches wide by 80 inches long.
