The crib and carriage are both solid and in excellent shape. There isn't any damage to the carriage. Crib or the wicker on the crib. There is some loss of paint along the edges at the very bottom of the crib which is not very bad and I have not attemped to touch up. I will leave that to the new owner. The carriage is very solid and there isn't any other loss of paint on it. The canopy does have some wicker damage on the one corner which I have tried to show in picture#8. Other than the loss of a little paint on the crib itself and the damage to the one corner of the canopy wicker the unit is very solid and in very good shape. A vintage hand made wood baby doll cradle in pale pink, in good condition with some imperfections due to age and wear. Will benefit from a more thorough cleaning. 125 Yr. Old Vintage Rocking Baby Bed Cradle Crib Family Heirloom Full Size Wood
Vintage baby cradle that was given to us about 25 years ago by an older family member to use for our new baby. At that time. It was over 100 years old, so now it is at least 125 years old! It is made of wood. Although the inside bottom was replaced. There is a very small crack on the headboard-could be easily repaired. There are some scratches and wear on the finish-I tried to show this in photos. There are metal"brakes" to keep cradle from rocking if desired. Feet are ceramic. And there is a bit of rust on metal casters. Measurements are as follows: HEADBOARD HEIGHT: 35 1/2" FOOTBOARD HEIGHT: 31" SIDE HEIGHT: 27" INSIDE HEIGHT: 11" LENGTH: 39 1/2" WIDTH 20 1/2" Great vintage item-I haven't seen anything like it anywhere! Walnut Victorian Bouncey Baby Crib~Springs Removable circa 1880
For sale is a sweet Walnut Victorian Baby Crib circa 1880. An arched crest with incised carving and raised panels is featured at the head. Turned spindles decorate the three sides. One side is hinged for easy access. On each of the four corners is a turned finial. The crib came with the four springs on the feet. They are easily removable~although thinking about it they may have come in handy when my son was a baby. This crib bolts to together and is very sturdy. There is a small piece of wood missing from the right side raised panel, you can see this in the photo. Two of the legs have age cracks in the wood where the bolts go in~see picture, but it does not interfere with the sturdiness of the crib. Slat do not come with the crib, any Lowes or Home Depot can will cut some. The apologies being given wonderful Victorian crib and would be great ... morefor displaying dolls or baby linens. It does not meet the specification for todays cribs. Measurements 47 inches tall, 30 inches wide and 47 1/2 inches from top of rail to floor. Back when our kids were babes in arms(now they’re in their 30’s) This was where we put them to sleep… a solid-walnut and veneer rocking crib that had been in my wife’s family since before the first World War. The detailing is wonderful. With a sweet inlaid picture of two doves cooing on the headboard. The old crib comes with a modern foam rubber mattress that is easy to clean. At the foot. There’s a lever and string device that allows two latches to engage, stopping all rocking action. This kind of crib was the height of safety when made. But I'm sure it no longer meets"Consumer Products Safety Commission" standards for baby items. It's essentially a piece of history that is more for display than daily use. though it worked fine for us 30 years ago!

19th Century Antique Bentwood Baby Cradle Crib
Here’s a nice Antique Bentwood cradle fresh from a local estate. I don’t have the bottom slats or mattress/pad. But I would think they should be fairly easy to replace or made. There are several spots that have been glued(where the wood lifted- mainly across the tops of the bentwood end sections) and it could use a good cleaning, as it has been in storage for many years. It measures 36” long x 18-1/2” wide across at the top/sides(20” high) 15” wide across the bottom/sides and the bentwood ends are 28” high. This will be shipped disassembled as shown in photo 7. Antique 1898 baby crib extremely rare made by the Louisville Crib Co. This crib only has three sides the open side hooks on the rails of a cast iron bed so the mother did not have to get out of bed to take care of the baby.The crib is in used condition it is 381/2 inches long 17 inches wide and 111/2 inches tall and it folds down.The crib has a brass tag on the back of the crib that reads Louisville Crib Co pat1898 I thank it was made in Louisville Ky. Antique Jenny Lind Rope Spindle Baby Bed/Cradle/Crib
This large ca. 1860's JENNY LIND CRADLE in walnut is stained dark. The head and foot and side spindle posts all are beautifully turned in the traditional Jenny Lind pattern. The slats and slat framework are newer. This is a large. Sturdy cradle measuring 40 inches long, 22.5 inches wide, and stands 37.5 inches high. This is a great decorative piece and could be used as the companion to a doll or bear collection. This item has some condition problems. Much of the paint has been worn away but I have kept it all original. There is a decal on the headboard but it has faded over the century. All wooden wheels are original as well and turn freely. The slat section fits snug into the crib but is easily removed and is not attached by any hardware. This is a great crib and still very solid. Perfect for any doll collector.
