It is in excellent condition with only a few light surface scratches and dings ... moreon it, typical wear. The frame has obviously been very well taken care of. It is a tall, high back bed frame. It has a majestic looking headboard with matching side rails and footboard. The side rails are a slightly darker tone than the headboard and footboard. I am unsure of the exact age of the bed, but I believe that it most likely dates to the late 19th Century. I believe that it is made of oak, but I cannot be completely certain. The bed frame can also be converted to a queen-size with an alternate wooden insert and metal bed frame that will be included in this sale. It is an absolutely gorgeous piece with beautiful carved details and a wonderful finish. It is tall and Majestic.
