This is a very unique(and adjustable) lamp and has"Hubbell" on the switch(see ... morepicture) This item stands about 7" tall without the shade or bulb and around 10" with bulb and shade(came with a 25 watt bulb which is not included) and weighs a bit under two pounds. To my surprise this lamp is adjustable in heigh t. The metal base unscrews to make this lamp go from 7" up to about 9 1/2" 12 1/2" with shade and bulb) This piece shows great patina throughout and is being left to next buyer as to how much cleaning is to be done. The wiring on this lamp is definitely older and may need to be redone. As you can see from one of the pictures it does(or at least did) work when I carefully and cautiously tested it! I cannot guarantee that it will continue to work without rewiring. That being said I am including pictures to show the plug and socket wires. Some fraying of the cloth cover is evident at both ends. I would rather err on the side of being cautious but the rest of the cord seems to be in fairly good shape. No tape jobs or cuts. The"HUBBELL" switch seems to turn nicely and has great on/ off clicks. The shade(which is non metallic) sort of snaps around the bulb. Pictures will show this mechanism on the inside of the shade. I am not sure of the age of this lamp. But I knew it was something different and unique when I saw and obtained it. Hopefully you will too and give it a good home. Tall queen antique spool walnut 4 four post poster bed
For sale is a 1890s- 1910 spool 4 post bed. I believe the wood is walnut. The finials are pineapples. Fits a queen mattress but is a little short for the mattress. I bought a foam mattress and cut off about 1.5 inches at the foot of the bed. If not using foam you will have to have one specially made or use double size mattress. Very tall and striking! Original finish and very sturdy. Measures 90" tall. 62" wide, 80" deep. Pick up only 30 miles west of Chicago in Oswego IL.

FANTASTIC AMERICAN GOTHIC CROTCH MAHOGANY 4 POST BED CIRCA 1850 BEAUTIFUL
This is a wonderful American Gothic style mahogany and crotch mahogany 4 post bed circa 1850. The headboard slides into hooks that attach to the tall head post. This is a very impressive bed with the head post measuring 83" tall and 16" around. They are octagon shaped. The headboard itself is a little lower than the post measuring 78" high. The overall width is 62" from post to post and the headboard is 49" wide. The bed is 79 1/2" long. The foot post are 57 1/2" tall and octagon shaped also at 16" round. A full size mattress and boxspring fits the bed nicely. A good thing about the bed is that the bottom of the boxspring is 17" off the floor and the top of the mattress is 35" from the floor. I like mattresses that sit high off the floor. There is one flaw that can be seen in the photos. For ... moresome unexplained reason the left headboard gothic point has pulled back from the headboard. It is made in one piece with the headboard meaning it does not come off like a finial. I have no idea how this could have occured. It was like this when I bought it. It dosn't bother me but the flaw needs to be disclosed. The finish appears to be original so there are some scuffs and nicks as seen in the pics. The bed breaks down into 9 pieces for easy transport. Bedding and mattress are not included in the sale. Magnificent Parisian Louis XVI Style Mahogany Belle Epoque Era* to start a new paragraph use- Offered for sale is this absolutely magnificent antique Parisian Bed. The bed is most likely one of the best we have ever owned. It could be as early as Napoleon III.But more like from the end of the late 1800's or 1900. The quality, design and construction of this bed suggest that a furniture maker such as Paul Sormani, Henry Dasson or Francois Linke; the bed is of this quality. One example is in the detail, expense and pride of construction. With special note to the bronze trim. The bronze is not solid, but is wrapped on wood trim then pressed and conformed to shape; it is just amazing. There are 4 different shapes and sizes. The fluted columns are no exception; attached bronze or brass in the flutes and shaped bronze or brass over the turned ... morecapitals and plinths. The gorgeous mahogany wood has a subtle grain pattern with a mellow patina. The color is magnificent and allows the trim to stand out. The size will accommodate an American full standard mattress, with some width to spare.Condition: The bolted rails are as tight as when they were new! The original finish is VERY GOOD with a soft shine. The brass still retains its original patina and has not been cleaned! ANTIQUE FRENCH BED Twin Walnut Louis XVth Hand Carved Accents
Antique French Louis XVth bed. Twin size We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this French Louis XVth bed. This Antique Louis XVth bed was brought over from France by the shop owners. It is made of Walnut. And has some beautiful carvings and trim accents. The feet are hand carved, as is accent piece centered on the top of the headboard. The craftsmanship is very impressive, I really like the way the clever design the builder built in, the rail to headboard, and footboard assemblies. The cap rail moulding on the headboard and footboard is beautiful, as are the gracefully curved appliqué trim accents, and the chevron veneers. The headboard measures 58 inches wide. 61 3/4 inches tall(including the carving) and the cap rail is 2 inches thick. The footboard measures 57 inches wide, 38 1/4 inches tall, and the cap ... morerail is 2 inches thick. The side bed rails are 73 3/4 inches long. This bed is an antique French short twin. So it will accommodate a mattress that measures 53 X 72 inches. Condition- The overall condition of this bed is good. But it is an antique, and as such there are a few issues. The most glaring is the attempted repair, and use of a white wood filler on the inside panel of the foot board, a skilled craftsperson could apply a matching veneer to cover this situation. There is a nonstructural crack in the footboard cap rail moulding located just about at it's center. And there is a, approximately 5 inch long, very narrow void between the footboard panel and the bottom of the cap rail(see pictures provided) On the head board there is a long diagonal depression on the upper right panel of the headboard(see pictures) There is also some warping in the veneer on the lower right portion of the headboard, that would be masked by the box spring and matress. And of coarse the non-standard size of the frame will require some modifications in order to accommodate a modern mattress. This Antique French bed frame is a very beautiful piece of furniture. Vintage baby cradle that was given to us about 25 years ago by an older family member to use for our new baby. At that time. It was over 100 years old, so now it is at least 125 years old! It is made of wood. Although the inside bottom was replaced. There is a very small crack on the headboard-could be easily repaired. There are some scratches and wear on the finish-I tried to show this in photos. There are metal"brakes" to keep cradle from rocking if desired. Feet are ceramic. And there is a bit of rust on metal casters. Antique 1800's Cannon Ball Rope Bed Very early 1800's antique rope bed, I believe made of maple wood. With cannon ball posts. The bed is very sturdy and is in very good condition. It appears to be handmade, with excellent craftsmanship, however, it is very old, and does have scuffs, scratches, and cracks typical of antique post beds of this age. All pieces of the bed, including the head board, foot board, and two rails are original. The bed can be put together and also taken apart very easily, and the frame has multiple holes ready for roping. A great piece for any situation.

ANTIQUE UNUSUAL AND LOVELY EMBROIDERED COVERLET FOR TWIN BED
Straight from a Vermont estate. We have never seen a coverlet quite like this one. Our guess is that it dates from about 1900- 1920. The size of the coverlet is 88 inches x 64 inches. So it is for a twin bed and looks wonderful on one. The fabric of the coverlet seems to be a light cotton that has a homemade look. The embroidery of bluebirds and flowers is all over. But what is so intriguing is the all-over white embroidery that covers the white surface of the fabric. So the entire coverlet is totally covered in two different types of embroidery. And if that is not enough, there is a wonderful hand-made fringe that goes all around three of the four sides. The condition seems to be just about perfect. No odors or stains.

Missing a couple of the little threaded brass balls that hold the twisted bars of solid brass to the foot board. But I'll pick up some replacements for them this week. Some tarnish on brass(all brass pieces are solid brass, NOT plated) Some chips and scratches in the white paint. It is 69" wide at the side finial section and the main section is 65 3/4" wide. The footboard is 34" tall at the center and 65 3/4" wide with the nice curved end feature. The side rails are 20 1/2" wide at the top. 10" wide at the center, and 12" wide at the foot. The 53 inch wide. 45 inch high headboard has a top row of small oblong shapes with v's cut out between them, and a round circle carved in the top of each shape, which contrasts with the simple applied horizontal lengths on the rest of the headboard and foot. The inside dimensions measure 52 3/8” in width by 65” in length where the box spring would need to sit on top of the frame bolt supports. There is additional room for a mattress on the inside when measured across the end bolt supports and from end to end where the finished mahogany begins. This inside dimension measures 77” in length by 54 ½” in width. The successful buyer may want to have this special bed professionally measured and fitted for a custom mattress. The design and attention to detail on this bed is beyond impeccable! Along with a wonderful design, that all come together to make a really beautiful set. The bed is 57 inches wide on the inside, and 78 inches long, which makes it somewhere between a full and queen, and is just one great quality bed. It has a big raised panel headboard with jewel-like wreaths carved into both side panels, a fleur-de-lis ribbon molded top and the same design on the curved footboard. The bed set looks like it is made of cherry or yew wood, and is a cherry brown color. It has bolt-in side rails that are a good 12 inches wide, very sturdy and stylish. The dresser has an oversized beveled glass square mirror that swivels, a delicate little fretwork carved heart, multi-molded panel sides on the dresser base, dovetail drawers with heavy bold brass, and is just a great high-quality set. My furniture maker has done a SPLENDID job- using this very decorative Queen Anne Gable pediment as a headeboard- This KING size bed- has the gable pediment for a headboard- a victorian frieze board for the foot board- and old victorian porch columns as the posts. The side rail is made from an old barn beam- modified so that three supports can be used to support a box spring and matress. The dimensions of the matress area are made to fit a King Size matress- The head board peaks at 9' exactly- can be slightly lowered if needed- not more than 6" without throwing the proportion out of whack! The width of the Gable pediment is 112" The total length of the bed as shown is 89" 83" wide on the footboard. This bed once belonged to O.J. and Nicole Simpson and more recently. Steven Seagal. See provenance below. Provenance It was the late seventies in Beverly Hills. California, my home town. I first met O.J. Simpson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar at an open house of a residential property I owned in Bel Air. At that time, the Peter Frampton was renting the home. I didn’t become close to O.J. until we happened to reconnect at a party for the Los Angeles Clippers hosted by Donald Sterling. We exchanged phone numbers ... moreand arranged to play tennis at his home. O.J. had informal gatherings that took place at his home practically every weekend. It would be a veritable who’s who of movie stars and sports celebrities. It would draw huge crowds but the atmosphere was very friendly and easy going. The smell of BBQ would waft through the air while we would play tennis with O.J. Ahmad Rashad and Lynn Swann would be waiting their turn to dethrone the winner along with a host of memorable others. As you would think. Bikini clad beauties roamed around the pool while everyone laughed and had a great time. Nicole Simpson was a gracious hostess that always kept the good times rolling. My wife to be and Nicole soon became the best of friends. At that time O.J. was a cool, affable guy who always owned the room. He really was larger than life. In 1980 O.J. and Nicole decided to move their home on Rockingham. I sent a crew to redo his floors. He and Nicole wanted an extravagant bed set for their boudoir. I knew exactly which bed he had to have. I had just acquired a beautiful antique massive heavily carved canopy bed from an 18th C. manor in England. I showed them the set and they instantly fell in love with it.
