The bed is most likely one of the best we have ever owned. It could be as early as Napoleon III.But more like from the end of the late 1800's or 1900. The quality, design and construction of this bed suggest that a furniture maker such as Paul Sormani, Henry Dasson or Francois Linke; the bed is of this quality. One example is in the detail, expense and pride of construction. With special note to the bronze trim. The bronze is not solid, but is wrapped on wood trim then pressed and conformed to shape; it is just amazing. There are 4 different shapes and sizes. The fluted columns are no exception; attached bronze or brass in the flutes and shaped bronze or brass over the turned ... morecapitals and plinths. The gorgeous mahogany wood has a subtle grain pattern with a mellow patina. The color is magnificent and allows the trim to stand out. This is an oversized 81-inch-tall mahogany pineapple poster bed that probably dates from the 1880s. In a most unusual style. Of all the ... morebeds I’ve ever had, I’ve never seen one like this. It has flame mahogany panels on the headboard and footboard, fluted and reeded pillars on the sides, and pineapples carved out of solid mahogany on the tops, but leaf carving in the center block underneath, which is very unusual and very stylish. Then it has a Sheraton poster legs on the base. It’s a bolt-up bed, which means it takes bolts to close up the side rails, and you can disassemble it by taking the bolts out of the headboard and footboard. It was most likely bench made. The rails were all messed up, as they say, and we had to fabricate an identical set of rails to make it all straight and true. The bed is 81 inches tall, which is unbelievable. The outside width is 61.5 inches, the height on the footboard shield is 45 inches tall, and on the headboard is 54 inches tall. The inside dimensions are 58 inches by 76 inches, which will easily accommodate a full-size box spring and mattress, and for an additional $200 we can make it a queen-size bed, measuring 60 x 80. Antique Mahogany Queen bed with inlaid woodwork of walnut
it is the late 1800's antique bed- headboard. Foot board, side boards. We believe it is made of mahogany with inlaid woodwork of walnut? Not 100% sure however it is quite heavy. Not in perfect condition, we would say fair condition or has been loved: it is an odd size apparently. Side boards are 77inches in length. Seems to be an UK/Ireland queen? Height of the headboard is 63 inches. Width of both headboard and footboard is 70 1/2 inches. It also features brass"socks" on the bottom of the footboard- you can see it in the pics:

Which is the middle screen, 5 foot high and 2 foot wide, with each side panel 18" wide and slightly lower angling to the ends. You have to remember that back in the 1800s, ladies were not six foot tall. This screen is original and folds up nicely, but still is very heavy. The glass is bevelled and thick. The fabric is of a silk texture, and might be silk, with soft pagoda scene of pale French blue and soft pink or rose. These matching twin beds were part of an southern estate find we recently ran across. They were purchased in 1930 per the family account from a company that was founded in 1929 in Nashville. GORGEOUS Antique SOLID MAHOGANY Bed from the 1850's 1860's. Includes Original Siderails. And all 7 Original"Slats" to hold the Box Frame and Mattress. From a Southern Estate here in Huntsville. Alabama, this bed was known to have been in the same family since the 1940's. Marked"Ernest F. Hagen. Furniture and Antiques, 213 East 26th Street, New York. There is also a Paper Label on the underside of the Headboard that reads the same. In FANTASTIC ORIGINAL Condition. And has never been Refinished, to the best of my knowledge. It is SOLID MAHOGANY, this is NOT Veneer! From what I can gather. It is most likely from the 1850's-1860's Era, although possibly later. Ernest Hagen was one of Duncan Phyfe's Master Craftsmen until Phyfe Died in 1847. Hagen then took over where Phyfe had left off. SUPERB ANTIQUE MAHOGANY RUSSIAN EMPIRE BED
This is a superb mahogany Russian empire bed. To the head board,foot board and side rails as you can see it has all the original ormalu which is in very good condition. To the headboard there are some age cracks but look fine. I would say this was made possibly for an exhibition in the early 1800s because of the quality of the bed. Although there is no signature. This one is in lovely condition for a late 19th century piece with gorgeous wood. Beautiful intricate carvings and built in hardware to attach the matching mahogany rails to the headboard and footboard as shown in my close up photographs.
