It's a party with elegantly dressed and coifed Lords and Ladies conversing while servants offer refreshment. On the opposing side is a lovely longtailed songbird in a rose thicket surrounded by butterflies. Both scenes are topped by raised golden lizards with long tails. The handles are green opposing or"kissing kitties" The"walls" dividing the scenes feature 2 pairs of scaled google eyed coy fish and abundant flora decoration. The surface of the lamps has a wonderful slightly raised texture where the paints were applied. The photos do not do proper justice to these fabulous lamps! They are large. Measuring 16 1/2" to the top of the vase and 9" wide. The mounts are antique brass and the bases are footed chinese wood stands in dark brown. I have just replaced sockets in both lamps and they function beautifully. The shades shown are not included in this auction but if you want them, I will include them in a separate box for an additional $100.00 plus shipping. In my opinion, these lamps really should have large custom made tall drum shades. This pair was purchased from a wealthy estate in South Beach about 10 years ago and are VERY FINE. I do not know the exact age and I am not going to take them apart to see the markings on the bottom of the vases. Ebay limits the number of photos to 12. It is 66 inches wide, 92 inches tall to the center crest, 83.5 inches high on the side posts, 5 inches deep on the bottom, and 5 inches wide on the posts. It is all original untouched. It has a personalization on top of the crest of 3 gold gilded letters that I cannot make out. It has gold gilded trim; gold gilded liner and it is simply beautiful. There are a couple of small pieces of molding missing on the base that I believe we can detail. There is a hole on the center of the personalization, which I believe must have been a finial at one time.

Antique 1880's Cherry Bed and Chest w/ Mirror Wooden Rollers Handpainted Flowers
You are bidding on a wonderful antique bed and chest with mirror. The bed is full sized. Has 6 slats on the bottom, wooden rollers(the rollers are not on in the photos) and is in wonderful condition for its age. There are beautiful hand painted flowers on the headboard. The chest has a tiltable. Beveled mirror with brass fixtures. There are candle stands on each side. They are made of ornate brass. This obviously was built before homes had electric lights. The lower back section of the chest is hand painted with beautiful flowers as well. There is one door that opens to a cabinet area with a shelf. There are two drawers. They are dove tailed construction and have all original hardware. The chest measures 76 inches high x 36 inches wide x 18 inches deep. The top of the chest has a stain from a plastic doilie. We have always had a dresser scarf ... moreon there which hides the flaws and really sets off the hand painting. There are a few fine paint splatters? on it but not very noticable. The dresser mirror weighs at least 200 lbs. The crest on the bed and dresser are over 12" thick from front to back. Up for auction is an Antique Eastlake Victorian Seven Piece Painted Cottage Bedroom set. Likely made of pine. Starting off. There's the bed(a headboard, foot board, and side rails) which has been converted to a queen size frame and includes the original wood side rails if you'd like to change it back to a full. The bed features impressive faux wood graining and burl panels set off with a floral motif. The faux painting carries over to the other pieces of the set, including a mirrored dresser with two flip top storage bins(the maker signed his name in pencil inside one of them! and four drawers, a wash stand with a drawer and two-door cabinet, a single-drawer night stand, two caned side chairs, and a caned rocker. The painting on the set is generally in good shape. Considering that it is 130+ years old. The top surfaces on the dresser, ... morewash stand, and night stand have the most wear, while vertical surfaces(which feature most of the intricate faux painting) are in good to very good shape. These losses are as would be expected for a set this old. The chairs and rocker also exhibit some paint losses, but the original caning is in pretty much pristine shape. I wouldn't sit in them, but they look great. What always amazed me. Was that this set made it through time with all the original pieces. So many times these get split up or something gets broken. Haunted Antique French 1880's Bed
How I'm describing this bed is very. Very true. In 2005 I was divorced and left with just a box spring and mattress on the floor of my bedroom. I wanted a great bed, and searched for two years until 2007 when I found this one in an antique shop in Laguna Canyon in Southern California. It's a queen size. And as you can see the headboard and footboard are beautiful, and was a wonderful addition to my home. so I thought. For over seven years I have had experiences I've told family and friends about that I can't really explain; I just tell them as they have happened. These are a few stand outs. Shortly after I brought the bed home. My girlfriend at the time told me she had woke up during the night and saw a shadow figure standing in the doorway to the Master Bathroom. At that time I had owned my home for about seventeen years, ... moreand had never had any incident of any kind, and dismissed her claim. Twice I have woke up to what can only be described as a hand pressing on the comforter and both times touching my right leg. The first time it happened it did this several times until I stirred. The other time it happened it touched my ankle. But the fact that during those two times I could feel the comforter pressing down was unsettling. One night I was laying in bed. Lights off trying to fall asleep. I can only describe this as if someone was sitting on top of the headboard, then the headboard reeled back as someone jumped off it, and ran down the length of the bed in two heavy steps. One morning in the middle of the bed near the footboard. I again can only describe this as a how a dog moves in a circle as it lays down. I could feel the comforter being pressed down in a circular pattern but by what felt like was only one hand; it was slow and did it at least a dozen times. I've never seen a person(Ghost) associated with the bed. But once I heard what sounded like a little girl about four feet from the bed speak in French, she said the same word twice, I cannot recall the word. I've even printed out a

The arched crest of the headboard is flanked by finely cast brass acanthus finials on either corner, the same treatments replicated in the footboard. The bed rests over bold turned feet and is joined with a three-part rail on either side, the whole crafted with fully solid mahogany and the interior edge lined with a later installation of solid oak to support the poplar planks. This is an exquisite selection for any fine home- not too ornate to be out of place while having very ... moreclassic lines of a softened angularity. Condition Report: Oak runners added inside of rails for modern conversion; all five solid poplar planks are likewise later and allow for modern use of the bed. All brass mounts with verdigris oxidization. Some dings and bends as expected. Light veneer checking and blemishes here and there, though overall the surfaces remain in exceptional condition. Wax dirty and cloudy, the surface would be somewhat more vibrant if it were deep cleaned of old layers of wax, though overall it is a warm and delightful surface. Victorian Queen Size 3 Pc. Antique 1880 Walnut Bedroom Set. A spectacular Victorian period carved bedroom set from around 1880 includes a queen size bed plus a bedside chest and dresser with mirror. Both with marble tops. Solid walnut with matched burl panels. The rich deep finish is excellent. American made antique furniture, hardware is original. Drawers have"pin and cove" or round dovetail joints, characteristic of the era. Marble tops have minor stains and have been polished and sealed for protection. The dresser marble has been repaired and the small chest marble has plugged holes near the back, see photos. The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit. The demonstrator set is 16" thick together as shown. Wood slats underneath are included. 1880's French Antique 3 piece bedroom suite
1880's French antique bedroom set purchased in France 12 years ago. Very nice patina, brass accents on armoire, bed frame and nightstand. Three door armoire with mirror, interior has four shelves and three drawers. Wood is walnut and clean. Bed is full/queen size. Nightstand has marble top. 72 inches wide, 21 inches deep and approximately 89 inches tall. Mirror is original and has a small imperfection but no cracks or chips. Up for auction is an antique eastlake style 3/4 bed from circa 1880. It has been painted in the shabby chic style. It measures 42" wide from rail to rail. 76" long from rail to rail and 69"tall at the tallest point of headboard. I'm not sure what kind of wood there is under the crackle finish. I used a twin size mattress in this bed and had about 1 1/2" space on either side. But you could have a mattress made if desired. This is a one of a kind bed! Very"princess" like.
