The Bed: The bed measures 62 1/2 inches in height at the head-board.39 1/2 inches in height to the top of the foot-board, with the outside with of the bed being 61 3/4 inches and outside length measuring 81 inches and this bed weighs approximately 200 lbs total. The inside mattress area measures 57 1/2 inches wide by 74 3/4 inches long and should fit a full size mattress set nicely, but one should always measure their own mattress set to assure proper fit. We believe this dresser to have its original wide beveled mirror, original brass pulls and the original beveled edge chocolate marble. The bed measures 5' 9 1/2 inches high at the head-board. 34 inches high at the foot-board, with an outside width of 61 inches and outside length of 76 inches. The inside mattress area measures 54 1/2 inches wide by 76 inches long and should accommodate a full size mattress set nicely, but one should always measure their mattress set to assure proper fit. This bed bolts together tight and secure and has a commanding presence all its own. The matching dresser has its original mirror which does show some streaking as common in old mirrors and we believe the pulls to also be original. The marble is in wonderful antique condition with no issues noted. For your consideration, this Monumental Superb Quality Burl Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival Two Piece Marble Top Bedroom Set(Circa: 1870’s) This beautiful bedroom set consists of a Massive Bed and a Massive Marble Top Dresser. It is clearly of the finest quality made during the period. The gorgeous bed measures 101" in total height from the floor to the top of the Headboard Crown. 64" in width and 81” in length. The internal mattress area measurements are 59" in width by 74” in length. This should easily accommodate any full size mattress with room left over however we do recommend that you measure your mattress to ensure proper fit as mattress sizes can vary 1-2 inches by manufacturer. This bed was undoubtedly constructed by one of the finest makers of the period ... moreand is top of the line in every way. There are even Burl Panels on the inside and top of footboard and ornamentation on the sides of the headboard! Details on this very substantial set are absolutely fabulous! The Massive and Phenomenal Headboard Crown consists of an ornate carved spade shell and scroll configuration with stylized incised cross trefoil crest. Accented on each side with elongated fluted foliate carvings along with a plethora of carved floral rosette roundels, intricately turned finials and dimensional incised carved details. These whimsical incised carved details include a bluebird of happiness located in the center of the burled hood that is flanked on each side with raised rectilinear foliate carvings. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful original finish Victorian civil war era three piece matching bedroom set in dark black American walnut with burl panels and a white and gray grained marble top. It even has the original label where it came out of Massachusetts brand new through a furniture company and it landed on the coast of Maine. Where it has been since the 1860s era. The set consists of a burl walnut extra tall bed, a gorgeous three drawer with a mystery secret drawer on the bottom dresser with a swivel mirror top with ditty boxes and candle shelves and also a gorgeous marble top extra high backsplash marble top commode in great condition. The set is pretty much trouble free. There is a crack across the foot board of the bed that was most likely knocked over somewhere in the ... moreday and someone has repaired it in their own way. It is all safe and sound. There is also a little tiny piece of a carved crest missing on top of the mirror. Other than that it is real nice with the natural patina of a 150 piece old set and the marble is in great condition. The overall size of the wash stand is 32.5 inches wide. 20 inches deep and 42 inches high because of the 13 inch high backsplash. The wash stand has a beautiful walnut trim on the drawer, carved cornices one the corners of the picture frame doors. The gray and grain marble top is in great shape. The bed is 63.25 inches wide on the outside. Approximately 82 inches tall on the headboard, 36 inches high on the footboard. The inside dimensions are 56 inches wide and 74 inches long due to the curved footboard. It will fit a modern day mattress and box spring tightly. We can extend the rails if the buyer so desires to make it a comfortable fit. The bed has a wonderful applied big carved crest crown on top, removable diamond point incise carved finials, race track molding on the headboard, raised burl panels and carved wing side rails. Last but not least, is the three dove drawer with secret 4 th drawer dresser.

A very fine exceptional museum quality" American Antique Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival" matching two piece marble top bedroom set possibly made by Herter Bros. Ca. 1870. The full center crest on the bed is 27" in height and 30" inches wide. In very good condition for its age having its original surface or finish. Gilding is original, marble, mirror, its all there couple small pieces of molding replaced identical to the other. Height of the bed and dresser is 8' foot 7" inches.
