Holds 80" x 60" box spring& mattress(Queen size) Headboard is 83.5" tall(1/2" under 7' Foot board is 46.5" tall. Missing a couple of the little threaded brass balls that hold the twisted bars of solid brass to the foot board. But I'll pick up some replacements for them this week. Some tarnish on brass(all brass pieces are solid brass, NOT plated) Some chips and scratches in the white paint. One cast iron frame bracket has a couple pieces chipped off of it, but still works just fine(see pic) Overall in good condition. Very unique rare Victorian bed. Old Antique Ornate Wrought Iron Bed, Aged Red Paint, Cast Iron Decoratives, Full
Here's a nice old or antique wrought iron bed we received recently with some estate items. This one is probably from the 1880's to perhaps 1920's with red paint and an assortment of what appear to be cast iron decorative pieces for an ornate appearance. I'm not sure what style this would be called but these decorative pieces and curved lines might be called an art nouveau style versus a primitive style. The red paint has signs of age and use giving it a nice naturally aged appearance. Though some may elect to paint it. This is a full size bed with the space between the rails at about 53.5 inches and the space between the headboards about 75 inches. The headboard stands about 61 inches or slightly over 5 feet tall, and the foot board is about 46 inches tall at the tallest point. The angle iron cross bar brace piece at the bottom ... moreof the headboard has been broken at some point. The other connective pieces hold the headboard together well but this should be braced, clamped or tack welded by someone handy. Iron on materials could cover this and then a mattress cover would protect it more. Other than that, it is in excellent extra- firm condition. No stains. Antique French Victorian Iron single bed LOOK
This is a super antique Iron bed. Probably from France. I would say it dates to the 1890's. It appears to be a single bed. This is one of the best Iron beds that I have seen. It is very heavy and needs two people to lift and move it. Very sturdy and solid. It easily folds up flat and easily sets up. It was sand blasted about two years ago and has been sitting in my garage. There is some light surface rust as can be seen in the photos, but easily comes off in preparation for paint. This can be spray painted with rustoleum in about 5 minutes. I will leave the color up to the lucky purchaser. Or it can be powder coated for a super finish. Its ready to go. It must be picked up here in Riverhead Long Island or I can deliver it anywhere on Long Island only. It weighs somewhere over a 100 pounds.

It is a double bed measuring 54 inches wide. The siderails measure 75 inches long and the brass rails measure 82" The headboard is 57 inches high and footboard is 37 inches high. The bed is very heavy and solid. Some of the seams in brass are split a bit which is common. Everything is tight. The siderails are not original and have been resoldered with ends that fit the headboard/footboard. One of the corner cast iron receptacles has been rewelded/repaired but is fine. Nice old bed. VERY unique antique(circa 1860-1870) British iron and brass double/full size bed with canopy. Dimensions: 53" wide by 85" long. Has 3 round medallions on the footboard set in round bulleted brass frames with inlaid copper and mirrored stars used to ward off evil spirits. This was accomplished by setting mirrors around the bed. And when not-so-friendly spirits would see their reflection in the mirrors they would get frightened and go packing! Antique brass and iron canopy bed. Aesthetic Movement era with stylized sunflowers on the headboard and a brass plaque depicting the Madonna and Child on the footboard. Originally from Malta, brought to the US in the 1970s. Originally a double bed, the rails have been lengthened to fit a queen size mattress. The width has not been altered. A queen size mattress fits nicely. There are hand-painted flowers twining up the canopy posts, some are worn off with age, others are still there. Black Primitive Antique "Bleeding Hearts" Rod Iron Full Bed Found in Rural Texas
This is a beautiful 1800's rod iron bed with bleeding hearts design(see photo#7) I purchased this full size bed years ago from an antiques dealer in Texas who painstaking restored it. Removing any and all rust and painting it a beautiful shade of black. The bed's minimalist design is very hard to find. Typically old iron beds are heavy and clunky however, this bed was made using thinner, yet strong cast iron. Antique French Black Cast Iron Double Bed 1890s Hand Painted Pinecones Lovely Condition- PICK UP ONLY Description: An antique black painted cast-iron double bed with oval hand-painted inserts. It is located in Santa Cruz. California, and is for pick-up only. It includes headboard, footboard and two rails. The mattress set is not included. This antique French bed has been in our family for 24 years. It is approximately 79" long. 52" wide. As it is European, it is about three inches narrower than a standard American double bed. An American box spring or platform will not fit down inside the frame. Rather, the slats are arranged on top of the frame and the mattress just sits on top of the slats. The mattress hangs over about 1 1/2" on each side, which is no problem. We have used it every day for 24 years and it is quite sturdy( ... morealthough.ahem. we have only had a single sleeper in this bed so we cannot testify to its accommodating more than one! When we purchased it. The oval tin tole-painted inserts were missing, so we had them custom made and professionally painted with three-dimensional pinecones at the head and message at the foot"Rest and be thankful.
