Condition: Used Location: Hyde Park, United States offered for sale is a fabulous r j horner true mahogany partner's desk. it is the largest model i believe. the top is 56 inches wide. 34 inches deep, ... moreand 32 inches tall. the knee hole is a bit over 24 inches tall. on each side there are two drawers on the right and a middle drawer over the knee hole. on the left is a door on each side that opens with folder dividers placed within. one side is a mirror image of the other, there are no fake doors, drawers, etc. on this piece. it is a very clean and neat piece and in near mint condition. there are few bumps and bruises here and there, but none that are noteworthy nor do they take away from the structure, function, and beauty of the desk. the mahogany in the piece is very good and is flame mahogany with wonderful grain throughout. i hope the pictures are good enough to display the beauty of this desk. of course the desk is not for everyone, just for those who want the best. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange transportation if that would be beneficial to anyone. good luck. by the way, these are quite rare and hard to come by. the last one i saw sell brought 16K at an auction with a 15 per cent buyers premium, which put it up to 18,400 when the smoke cleared.

The drawer fronts have book-matched crotch mahogany veneers and cockbeading. The fitted interior(sorry for the dust) has burl walnut veneers, ebonized pulls and boxwood stringing. The interior cupboard door opens to reveal a drawer with a secret drawer behind. See photo) The desk measures 44" high by 39 1/2" wide by 20" deep. In overall very good condition. There is some minor loss to the veneer on the feet which we will restore for you. The desk lid is cupped which makes the desk impossible to lock properly though we do have a key. I don't think we want to try to address this particular issue but please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. There is also some cracking of the veneer on the lid but it is all stable, nothing loose. The desk has great color and patination and is guaranteed to be as described. Victorian Style Antique Platform Rocking Cradle
I believe this is from the late 1800's. Made for a baby in the Victorian era. This stationary/rocking cradle is solid black walnut with burl panels and porcelain castors. Size of this antique cradle is 33" high, 22" wide with the platform adding approximately 10" to the height. One of the wooden rockers has been replaced(in photo 8) but the unit is in good shape for its age. Some of the parts of the original patented locking mechanism are missing. Beautifully turned stiles with shaped finials on all posts. The Bed measures 19 wide. 23 high and the Bed is approximately 33 inches long. Great patina, some age related wear but displays well. The rope bed was in bedrooms from the 16th century until the late 1800s when the first coil spring mattress was constructed. The history of the rope bed is tightly woven with the history of the mattress and the four-poster bed. Most of the four-poster beds were rope beds. Ropes or strips of leather were laced across the bed frame to support the mattress. Sleepers needed to tighten the ropes frequently to ensure firmer support and a better night's sleep. Wonderful turn of the century(late 1800's or early 1900's) tubular iron and brass bed. Simple brass ball-shaped knobs top each of the four posts and a decoration supports the center of each brass rail. The painted white iron stiles are decorated by simple trefoil designs at the joints. Both side rails are included. Over all this piece is in good condition. There is a little wear to the paint. But no breaks or visible repairs. When assembled. Antique Twin Rope Beds
Two Beautiful rope twin beds. Circa early 1800s, from New England. The beds are maple, have cannonball-shaped posts with tapered legs, and original wood finish. They come with mattresses(one mattress is horse hair) There are metal brackets installed which securely hold the box springs in place. Currently. Plywood is inserted on the brackets to provide support for the mattresses, however if a box spring is installed, there's no need for the plywood. Of course you can add rope as originally intended. I have a 1979 appraisal stating the value for both beds at $1100. These beds will have to be picked up from my residence in Central Florida.

Made by the National Spring Bed Company and easily from the mid to late 1800s. It has some wear as shown. But still very stable and solid. In fact, the old rust gives it an excellent patina. If I was to redo this piece I would remove the rust from the ... moremetal frame(where the mattress would set) and leave the part that is upright as is. There are two lion heads or gothic type creatures at the bottom of two of the legs. One appears to be broken(missing claw foot) But this does not affect the bed's stability. Folded and standing it measures about 22" by 50" by 42 1/2" When it is a bed the measurements are 75" long 48 1/2" wide and 25 1/4" in height. Walnut Victorian Bouncey Baby Crib~Springs Removable circa 1880
For sale is a sweet Walnut Victorian Baby Crib circa 1880. An arched crest with incised carving and raised panels is featured at the head. Turned spindles decorate the three sides. One side is hinged for easy access. On each of the four corners is a turned finial. The crib came with the four springs on the feet. They are easily removable~although thinking about it they may have come in handy when my son was a baby. This crib bolts to together and is very sturdy. There is a small piece of wood missing from the right side raised panel, you can see this in the photo. Two of the legs have age cracks in the wood where the bolts go in~see picture, but it does not interfere with the sturdiness of the crib. Slat do not come with the crib, any Lowes or Home Depot can will cut some. The apologies being given wonderful Victorian crib and would be great ... morefor displaying dolls or baby linens. It does not meet the specification for todays cribs. Measurements 47 inches tall, 30 inches wide and 47 1/2 inches from top of rail to floor. The last being in a dark, brownish, barn red finish that thad been worn and chipped in spots to reveal a creamy yellow color. We re-finished it in a bright confederate red crackle finish and applied a glaze to renew it's aged patina. We also hand lettered the appropriate saying in white. This two piece bedroom suite is from the 1 86 0's in the Gothic style made famous by the"Lincoln Bed" It is a beautiful. Dark solid walnut with much graceful carving and paneled burl accents. A ll pieces are the same color-the variation in the photos is from the lighting and light coming in the w indow by the footboard-and the distance from my camera. This elegant set consists of the headboard. 7" tall, the footboard, curved and the two footrails with original metal braces and side extensions. We have the be set up as a queen. With a Q-metal frame, but you can see the slots on each side of the headboard where the side rail extensions fit. This is a excellent. Rare Southern hand made rope bed headboard and footboard from the 18th or early 19th century. It is maple or fruitwood and measures 39" wide and 45' tall for the headboard and 39" wide and 38" tall for the footboard. The bed was purchased from a reputable, well-known appraiser and auctioneer(associated with Antiques Roadshow) by me for my grandson. However, he has been given a bed(a fire engine! so now I am selling this one. It is simply a great Southern piece. The bed is in very good to excellent condition- no wobbles and very sturdy. Beautiful Berkey and Gay bedroom set. Approx. Crica 1880- 1890 based on Berkey and Gay mark that is on all pieces of the furniture. As per appraisal from 2001 the set is a Louis XVI sub-style. All the pieces are of flame grain veneered circassian walnut. Arched creasts pierced and carved three dimensional carving in laminated wood of clusters of roses tied with ribbons. Tapered fluted square columns on each side. Also acanthus leaf carving and beading. The beds have French caned headboards and footboards and are complete with siderails. All the pieces are on raised casters except the Bedside Stand. The dressers. Bedside stand, and vaniety all have custom glass tops. Being presented for sale is this fabulous pair of early to mid 19th century Sheraton Federal Mahogany Twin Rope Beds with Ring turned& Fluted Acanthus Carved Posts.These early beds each feature a beautiful classic broken scroll head-board with original brass Fleurettes. Turned and fluted acanthus carved posts, ring and fluted blanket roll at each foot board with the original decorative brass bed bolt covers. Each bed measures 68 inches tall to top of the posts.46 1/2 inches in height from the floor to the top of the head-board,height of the side rails measures 22 inches, height to the blanket roll at the foot-board measures 35 3/4 inches. Outside width is 42 1/2 inches, outside length measures 87 3/4 inches with the inside mattress area measuring 39 inches wide by 81 inches long and each bed weighs approximately 85 lbs. The rails of mahogany& poplar were added and made for the bed some time ago and extended in length to accommodate today's mattress lengths.One head-board does show evidence of an old repair by the scroll top which appears tight and secure and not an issue in my opinion but wanted to mention it. Antique English Oak Bedroom Set Armoire Wardrobe Dresser Barley Twist Headboard
You are bidding on a BEAUTIFUL Antique English OakBedroom Set/ Suite/ Ensemble. I am not an antique expert or dealer.But I was told when I purchased these pieces that they are all Victorian Style English Oak(medium) manufactured in England in the late 1800's. All pieces were purchased separately. But they"match" amazingly well. There are three items in this set: Dresser- Measures 36"W x 19"D x 38.5"H. With 4 drawers of increasing size from top to bottom. Head Board and Foot Board w/ rails modified to fit a Queen Size bed- Both pieces are 54" Wide and 1.75" Deep on corner posts. Thinner across the back. The headboard is 53.25" High and the footboard is 27.25" High. Both have a diamond design in the center panel, and 1.5" slats out to the sides, with Barley Twist on the ends of the headboard ... moreonly. There is a small screw(hardly noticeable) at the very bottom of the left footboard foot, where it had once had a small crack, bus now fixed and solid. As they did not have Queen beds back 1800's, the rails have been modified to fit a Queen bed, so the mattress hangs about 2-3" off either side of the bed- this is very common for people who have an antique head and foot board, and is not noticeable once the bed is made up. Armoire/ Wardrobe- Measures 47"W(plus 2.5" on each side for the crown) x 18.5"D x 80"H. This is a beautiful piece. And VERY functional. Has a hanger bar across the interior along with 5 hooks for miscellaneous items. Also has a large drawer underneath for storage. The design is shown in the close-up(photo 2) and there is a beveled glass mirror on the door. The wardrobe actually comes in three pieces that sit on each other- base, main cabin, crown- so it is easier to move than it looks! There are a couple small"cracks" in the wood that are just natural from age, but overall it is is excellent shape as are the other pieces of the set. Please note: Mattresses. Old Antique Ornate Wrought Iron Bed, Aged Red Paint, Cast Iron Decoratives, Full
Here's a nice old or antique wrought iron bed we received recently with some estate items. This one is probably from the 1880's to perhaps 1920's with red paint and an assortment of what appear to be cast iron decorative pieces for an ornate appearance. I'm not sure what style this would be called but these decorative pieces and curved lines might be called an art nouveau style versus a primitive style. The red paint has signs of age and use giving it a nice naturally aged appearance. Though some may elect to paint it. This is a full size bed with the space between the rails at about 53.5 inches and the space between the headboards about 75 inches. The headboard stands about 61 inches or slightly over 5 feet tall, and the foot board is about 46 inches tall at the tallest point. The angle iron cross bar brace piece at the bottom ... moreof the headboard has been broken at some point. The other connective pieces hold the headboard together well but this should be braced, clamped or tack welded by someone handy. This bed is relatively clean but has been stored for some years and could use a little more light cleaning. Overall a nice antique wrought iron bed for those who seek functional furniture that provides an interesting decorative appearance. This bed is being listed for"Pickup Only" and is located about 15 minutes from the junction of Interstates 89 and 93 near Concord in central New Hampshire. Pickups are most easily arranged nights and weekends.
