The octagonal beveled edge white marble top is in very good condition for its age. The bottom of the marble top is signed J.M. Bailey#24. The patina on the very Ornate Solid Walnut Table Base is absolutely beautiful. As are the design details and the workmanship. As you can see, the top of the Table Base is adorned on all four sides with lovely linear fluted carving that encases center rectilinear Burl Walnut accents that sit above fancy incised carved center aprons and side cornices. Rococo Revival brass bed. European, circa 1880 with conforming head and foot boards with round posts with banded ball finials and baluster turned mid-sections. The posts are joined by tubular rails and an arrangement of spindles, all with round floral-embossed junctions. Each is crested by an embossed brass arch supported by two fluted balls over an arrangement of circles. This fabulous 19th century bed features bountiful period detailed carvings with a beautiful carved crest. Carved foliate and rosettes, medallions, incised carvings and recessed and raised burl walnut panels accent the entire bed. This bed has beautifully executed side rails and when the bed is together it's very tight and sturdy. This elaborate 19th century bed is in wonderful antique condition and has a striking presence. From a Southern plantation in NC come these amazing pair of 1880s twin brass beds from France manufactured in the Victorian era in the tradition and style of Art Nouveau. They are perhaps the nicest and well built pair of antique beds that I have ever seen. The brass is in pristine condition with flowing and graceful lines in an utterly exquisite pattern with tips that end in a reticulated detailed leaf. The solid iron side rails. Up for auction is an antique eastlake style 3/4 bed from circa 1880. It has been painted in the shabby chic style. It measures 42" wide from rail to rail. 76" long from rail to rail and 69"tall at the tallest point of headboard. I'm not sure what kind of wood there is under the crackle finish. I used a twin size mattress in this bed and had about 1 1/2" space on either side. But you could have a mattress made if desired. This is a one of a kind bed! Very"princess" like.
