Veill- I am trying to find a signture It is like his style though. Condition: Sturdy. Original patina. The brass tacks on the top of the chair appear to be original. The tacks in the carpet. The carpet, and the material on the back are probably not original. Looks to have been reupholstered years ago and was very well done. The carpet really fits that period. Size: This antique folding rocking chair is 17-1/2" wide. Unfolded it stands 33-1/2" tall X 17-1/2" wide X 22" deep. The seat of the chair slants and is 14" from the ground in the rear and 15-3/4" from the ground in the front. Folded flat it is 38-1/2" tall. Still 17-1/2" wide, and 6-1/2" deep. This chair folds for easy storage. It is a fine dark wood with a beautiful patina. I believe it is walniut. It is built very well and comfortable. The back gently curves. On each side of the top back are two Victorian finlials. The seat is similar a carpet material. But may not be original. It looks great though. There is some fringe missing on the carpet on the top of the chair. This chair is from the 1800s. We bought it in an antique shop years ago and used it at Civil War Reenactments. Tall queen antique spool walnut 4 four post poster bed
For sale is a 1890s- 1910 spool 4 post bed. I believe the wood is walnut. The finials are pineapples. Fits a queen mattress but is a little short for the mattress. I bought a foam mattress and cut off about 1.5 inches at the foot of the bed. If not using foam you will have to have one specially made or use double size mattress. Very tall and striking! Original finish and very sturdy. Measures 90" tall. 62" wide, 80" deep. Pick up only 30 miles west of Chicago in Oswego IL.

ANTIQUE FRENCH BED Twin Walnut Louis XVth Hand Carved Accents
Antique French Louis XVth bed. Twin size We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this French Louis XVth bed. This Antique Louis XVth bed was brought over from France by the shop owners. It is made of Walnut. And has some beautiful carvings and trim accents. The feet are hand carved, as is accent piece centered on the top of the headboard. The craftsmanship is very impressive, I really like the way the clever design the builder built in, the rail to headboard, and footboard assemblies. The cap rail moulding on the headboard and footboard is beautiful, as are the gracefully curved appliqué trim accents, and the chevron veneers. The headboard measures 58 inches wide. 61 3/4 inches tall(including the carving) and the cap rail is 2 inches thick. The footboard measures 57 inches wide, 38 1/4 inches tall, and the cap ... morerail is 2 inches thick. The side bed rails are 73 3/4 inches long. This bed is an antique French short twin. So it will accommodate a mattress that measures 53 X 72 inches. Condition- The overall condition of this bed is good. But it is an antique, and as such there are a few issues. The most glaring is the attempted repair, and use of a white wood filler on the inside panel of the foot board, a skilled craftsperson could apply a matching veneer to cover this situation. There is a nonstructural crack in the footboard cap rail moulding located just about at it's center. And there is a, approximately 5 inch long, very narrow void between the footboard panel and the bottom of the cap rail(see pictures provided) On the head board there is a long diagonal depression on the upper right panel of the headboard(see pictures) There is also some warping in the veneer on the lower right portion of the headboard, that would be masked by the box spring and matress. And of coarse the non-standard size of the frame will require some modifications in order to accommodate a modern mattress. This Antique French bed frame is a very beautiful piece of furniture. This bed once belonged to O.J. and Nicole Simpson and more recently. Steven Seagal. See provenance below. Provenance It was the late seventies in Beverly Hills. California, my home town. I first met O.J. Simpson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar at an open house of a residential property I owned in Bel Air. At that time, the Peter Frampton was renting the home. I didn’t become close to O.J. until we happened to reconnect at a party for the Los Angeles Clippers hosted by Donald Sterling. We exchanged phone numbers ... moreand arranged to play tennis at his home. O.J. had informal gatherings that took place at his home practically every weekend. It would be a veritable who’s who of movie stars and sports celebrities. It would draw huge crowds but the atmosphere was very friendly and easy going. My wife to be and Nicole soon became the best of friends. At that time O.J. was a cool, affable guy who always owned the room. He really was larger than life. In 1980 O.J. and Nicole decided to move their home on Rockingham. I sent a crew to redo his floors. He and Nicole wanted an extravagant bed set for their boudoir. Bi-level marble top dresser with original ½” plate glass mirror, and three-drawer marble top commode with basin compartment. This set is offered here in its original finish and generously decorated with carved floral patterns and finials. The unusual nickel-plated ball joint pulls are original to this set, but the four pull knobs on the dresser are not. Both the dresser and commode have the original castors. Rails are very heavy, super tall, just a super looking piece. You can see from teh back of the headboard, it is hand chamferred. I believe it is solid walnut, but may be oak. accomodates a standard full size mattress. Includes Head, Foot, rails, and slats. Slats are new wood slats. I am located in Birmingham. AL. Back when our kids were babes in arms(now they’re in their 30’s) This was where we put them to sleep… a solid-walnut and veneer rocking crib that had been in my wife’s family since before the first World War. The detailing is wonderful. With a sweet inlaid picture of two doves cooing on the headboard. The old crib comes with a modern foam rubber mattress that is easy to clean. At the foot. There’s a lever and string device that allows two latches to engage, stopping all rocking action. This kind of crib was the height of safety when made. But I'm sure it no longer meets"Consumer Products Safety Commission" standards for baby items. It's essentially a piece of history that is more for display than daily use. though it worked fine for us 30 years ago!

Details: An antique c.1840-1870 handmade solid walnut rope bed. The bed has been converted from being a rope bed. Holes plugged, and fitted with newer solid wood rails to accommodate a full-size mattress set. The headboard and footboard are identical in size and style. Each one is made using two walnut panels, topped by a rolling pin crest, flanked by low, solid posts that feature mushroom-cap finials. The finish is original. Showing age appropriate patina, more so to the footboard where the finish is lighter along the top due to blankets being hung over it for many years. Up for auction is a beautifully carved Victorian Walnut Bed Crest. The crest has been carved in the shape of a lady's head. The crest is 12" tall. It is nearly 13" across the curled detail. The thickest area on the crest is at the top of the lady's head. It is about 3 1/2" thick. The crest is in the original finish. There are some nicks in the surface. The original finish has some wear. The tip of the lady's nose is flattened. There is a scratch below her chin. I did not clean or polish the crest. This beautiful French walnut bedroom suite is circa 1880 and is in excellent antique condition. The quality and beauty of this set is remarkable. Although it is over 130 years old. I see no problems. When we purchased this set about 15 years ago. I totally cleaned the entire set using mineral spirits to remove dirt and old waxes and polishes. I then applied a total of five coats of tung oil to each piece. Tung oil gives an ideal, long-lasting finish to wood. French beds take a slightly different size mattress. So we are including the mattress and box spring with the set. Full-size bedding fits fine. We moved to a different house and have no room in our guest room for these pieces. it is the late 1800's antique bed- headboard. Foot board, side boards. We believe it is made of mahogany with inlaid woodwork of walnut? Not 100% sure however it is quite heavy. Not in perfect condition, we would say fair condition or has been loved: it is an odd size apparently. Side boards are 77inches in length. Seems to be an UK/Ireland queen? This bed features stacked ball-shapes on the spindles which typifies the Jenny Lind style. There are 4 pieces that fit together snuggly without nails/fasteners(headboard. Footboard, and two sides) Also included are 6 lightweight wood slats for holding the mattress. One of the bedrail sides is fixed and the other has 2 latches that allow it to fold down. There are 4 white porcelain casters on the bottom. Outer dimensions of this bed are 58 3/4" length, 34 3/4" width, and 42 1/2" height. The maximum mattress size that can fit in this bed: 55 3/4" length x 30 1/2" width. If the mattress has a length of 48" this bed would also accomodate a wider mattress ... moreof 32" wide. Each of the 4 main pieces of this bed are marked with'16' One of the metal pieces on the bed's latching ports has a'Pat'd Oct. 66' mark. We believe this means 1866.
