Authentic Old Antique Small Stoneware 1 Quart Crock 6-1/8" Tall GREAT CONDITION
This excellent little kitchen crock measures just over six inches tall. And probably hold about a quart. The piece is from an estate, so we really don't know it's actual age, only that it is very old and original. There are no cracks or major chips anywhere; only a few small fleabites and scuffs in the original glaze. There is absolutely no maker's mark anywhere. Please email any questions before bidding. Vintage R.R.P. CO. Rosville. Ohio U.S.A. Tan stoneware crock.4.5” in diameter and 3.125” high and weighs approx 1 pounds 6 ounces. It is in used condition. There is a rough spot on the bottom inside in the glaze and otherwise. There are no cracks or chips. I have included a full group of pics showing all sides top& bottom. The bottom mark is the R.R.P Co. Roseville. O. U.S.A. in an oval stamp. A bit of history for those interested: R.R.P. Co. Rosville. Ohio U.S.A the beginning: Frank Ransbottom. A successful jobber of stoneware and pottery, decided to started his own company(with his brother) in 1900 to distribute pottery products made locally Ohio. The brothers had been exposed to making pottery by their father, Alfred, who operated the Bluebird Potteries in Ohio. By 1916 the Ransbottom Pottery Company was the largest producer of stoneware ... morejars. Merged in 1920: Wanting to diversify. Ransbottom merged with Robinson Clay Products Co, a producer of tile and bricks. The product lines were expanded and included gardenware. Not Roseville: Many people have confused Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery with Roseville Pottery because they were 1. Located in Roseville. Ohio 2. Up for auction is a vintage wide neck stoneware pottery thermos crock jar/jug liner. Has quite a few larg chips that are shown in the pictures. Measures 10" x 7" x 3 1/2" No maker's mark. The outside has a flat unglazed surface and the inside has a glazed surface. I have no idea as to the age of this jar. I don't see any surface cracks. This auction is for a vintage 1/2 gallon stoneware crock. This measures right at 5" tall and has a diameter right at 7"across. This has a fracture in the that start part way down the side and continues half way across the bottom. This is a fracture not a break. I am not sure what the crock was used for, I have cleaned it up, you may want to do more. Most crocks will have a fracture and some blemishes, to me it adds character to these pieces. Vintage 3 Gallon Red Wing Union Stoneware Co Crock Redwing MINN. 10" Tall NEAT!!
This auction is for a Vintage Red Wing 3 gallon crock. Has a blue number 3 on the front. A red wing and the Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing Minn. Stands right at 10" tall with a diameter of right at 10.5" across. This has some blemishes, a chip on the rim and fractures across the bottom as you can see in the photos. Also on the bottom someone has placed felt pads so the crock wouldn't scratch any surface it set on, these could be removed. This is solid, the fractures are not breaks. On the outside it is blue washed with a floral design It also has blue on the handles This stoneware crock is a hair under 4.5" tall and is 6" across the brim. MIALI POTTERY El Monte California Small Crock Blue Band 3" Tall- Since 1906. This is a nice crock and it measures almost 3" Tall and 5" across. The edge is wavy in one spot and that is how it was made see last photo. Color of my photo is just a tad more yellow. The item is a bit lighter in color. Kind of a off cream. It has some crazing and that is normal for pottery this old. I am guessing this is around 1920's era. No chips or damage just the crazing. This auction is for a smaller oval shaped crock. Not an expert on these. I am guessing that this may have been used as a planter. Measures right at 4.75" tall and measures right at 6.75" wide and 6.25" across. The inside has a roughness to around the sides. The bottom is smooth. Outside is mostly smooth to touch, outside bottom is rougher. White with a creamy tinge to it. Very pretty. Could be added to a collection or used for a plant. No chips or cracks on it. A true antique crock. I'm selling the old pottery piece for my friend. She's 92& asked me to list it. The crock came from her home place. In Bybee, Tn. where she was born& raised. She moved from the family farm in 1960. She remembers the crock as a small child. She was born in 1920 so this crock is definitely an antique. Great condition. No chips. A couple very light. Glaze hairline cracks that you need extra light to see& doesn't take away or cause any issues. The stoneware crock is 6" tall& 5.75" across the top. Two tone or two shades of brown. Antique ovoid decorated stoneware crock, 8'' tall
This primitive decorated stoneware jar is an amazing size 8' tall. The top rim has drooped in the firing to give it an unusual shape. It has cobalt decoration. 3 squiggles. There is some roughness on the top rim. There are no cracks, the ovoid shape is wonderful and makes it older than the straight sided ones. Up for auction Vintage antique 5 gallon crock brown and tan with a blue 5 on the front. This crock is in great shape and is 20" tall. I do like to list any flaws that I am aware of on any listing that I post and with this one there are some small chip marks at the bottom but I am not sure they were not made during the manufacutuing of this item. Vintage Art Pottery Crock- 10 1/2" Tall This vintage crock may have been used to store gin or moonshine. The cork has fallen inside and I have not been able to get it. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. While there are some color variations adding to the patina. There are no markings on the bottom.
