This a stoneware jar for toothpaste. The lid says “Oriental Tooth Paste for Cleansing Beautifying and Preserving the Teeth & Gums Prepared By Jewsbury ... more& Brown Ardwick Green Manchester England”. I estimate it dates from just before or just after 1900.The top is not damaged. The ceramic is partially separated, but remains attached. I see no other issues. The white spots are reflections from the lights above where I took these pictures. However, there are a few white spots on the bottom of the jar where the color was not applied. This little jar measures approximately 1 3/4” high and 3” across.

A 19th century blue decorated two gallon open stoneware crock by Hamilton& Jones. Greensboro, PA. It measures just shy of 12.5" tall and the ... moretop is about 7.25" across. Antique Stoneware: Fine 19thC. PA Redware Crock or Jar, Semi-Ovoid, Lead Glaze
Whether you call this a Cream Jar. Crock or Planter, one thing is for sure: this is a monumental 19thC. piece of Redware! Unmarked, but having a capacity of 4Gal. this extra-large Jar will be at home in any Antique Stoneware collection. This is a well-made piece by a highly skilled artisan; probably a Pennsylvania pottery, ca.1860 or earlier. The Semi-Ovoid form is topped with a slightly-squared lip profile. The exterior is unglazed, with age-appropriate wear and typical imperfections throughout. The Lead-Glazed interior is superb! Very reminiscent of Redware Cream Jars created by the Bell Family, with a slightly narrower lip profile. Please see photos for details and consider them as part of the description. It is extremely rare to find such a large piece without significant damage, cracks or repairs! Weighing in at exactly 15lbs. this Semi-Ovoid ... moremeasures 11-1/2"W x 12"H overall. Antique Stoneware: Crock/jar w/ Cobalt Decoration, 1 Gall?
Beautiful cobalt decorated stoneware crock. It has fabulous decoration which looks like leaves on a vine. It also looks like hearts. It is marked on the front and I believe it to say West Troy Pottery. It measures 7.5 tall and 8 inches across the top. It has a couple of OLD chips on the front and a couple of very small flea bites on one ear. There is also a tight crack on one side. There are lots pf pictures. Brown with Cobalt Blue Bird Salt Glazed Stoneware Honey Jar Honey Crock
Salt Glazed Pottery Jar/Crock/Cup This is such a cute miniature like piece. I did the best I could to research it but there was nothing to go by. It does remind me of a Rowe Pottery piece? There are no markings on this item. I believe it is salt glazed and features a cobalt blue bird. I took several pics of the front of this as it was hard to get a good picture. My guess would be that it was an egg cup or a honey jar/honey crock. It is in near mint shape. 3cm tall with a 4cm diameter* weighs 35g* Please message via ebay questions about item/shipping PRIOR to bidding*

R. R. P. Co. ( Crown Brand or Robinson Ransbottom ) 3 G. Stoneware Preserve Jar
For your consideration is a R. R. P. Co. AKA Robinson Ransbottom or Crown Brand) three gallon stoneware preserve jar with a lid. This company started in Akron. Ohio as Johnson, Whitmore and Company in 1856. Through a series of mergers, acquisitions, taking on additional partners, etc. it became known as R. R. P. Co. Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company) and was located in Roseville, Ohio. The crown is a pale black and is under the glaze. The interior is glazed with a brown glaze. This quality jar was manufactured using a two piece mold; with the seam being horizotal and approximately halfway between the top and bottom. The handles were skillfully applied. All in all this piece was made conscientously. This preserve/storage jar is approximately 13 1/2" tall and the bottom is slightly more than 9 1/4" in diameter. This preserve/storage ... morejar has 0 chips on the jar itself, however on the bottom of the lid an insignificant flake with a very tight hairline; the hairline is not visible on the top side of the lid. Also there is a crack on the bottom of the jar and I would argue that was caused by the clay not being dry enough when it was fired. The chips on the bottom the jar are glazed over; meaning the chips happened during manufacturing, before the item was fired. Check out my other listings as I combine shipping when practical. This saves the buyer money. The buyer is assured this R.R.P. Co. preserve/ storage jar will be well packaged and shipped promptly. I will try to answer any questions. I'm very easy to get along with, if communication is adequate; I check my email several times a day. I ship worldwide. In some instances, an item cannot be shipped to certain countries. Also the postage is usually higher; sometimes much higher) The best thing to do is a get a quote while the listing is active. This R.R.P. Co. preserve/ storage jar will be shipped by USPS Parcel Post. Shipping for this R.R.P. Co. preserve/ storage jar is $19.91. I prefer PayPal, but if the buyer chooses to pickup this R.R.P. Co. preser

HELLO and thanks for looking at our auction! Today we have an old antique crock that we think may have been a canning crock many years ago. It looks like a date on the bottom but we can't quite make it out but we have taken pictures of it. It has lots of flaws and chips around the top and lots of staining and crazing. There is also a hairline crack in the top and we have tried to show it in the pictures. This old crock measures 6 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" across the bottom and 4 1/4" across the top. The rim is 1/2" thick around the top and it is very heavy. It weighs 3 1/2 pounds. It is missing the bale but the holes for the bale are still intact. It is also missing the lid. This old Crock is still very pretty even with all the chips. Stains and flaws. It has lots of crazing all over the outside and inside, and would look ... moregood with the old primitives collection. ANTIQUE 19THC ENGLISH STONEWARE LUSTRE GLAZED STONEWARE POTTERY CROCK JAR JUG
WHAT A CROCK OF. Gooseberry Preserves. Lemon Curd, or perhaps Clotted Cream, Dear Collectors, this is a genuine 19th c antique English lustre glazed Preserve Stoneware Crock Jar peculiar to those made across the big pond for food preservation of yesteryear in the British Isles. Every respectable farmstead would sport several in the kitchen and buttery/pantry for daily use and storage of preserved foodstuffs well before the days of modern refrigeration made these charming sturdy stoneware vessels outmoded and relegated to collector status. Quite similar to American Albany slip brown glaze. The exterior of crock is covered lavishly in pearl brown lustre wash glaze giving it a soft lustre reflective pearl shine with life that dances off the surface at all angles. It features twin lug handles at upper side to aid gripping crock during cooking ... morewith a decorative stamped incised single beaded ring running around the upper middle kissing lower handle extensions. It has a most gentle chamfered base bevel, then the bottom is simply unglazed stoneware clay patina. A thick well formed rim likely once had a lid no longer present, but no matter, clean sage gray green glazed interior is happy to hold your wooden spoons and kitchen utensils in period style. Overall it has a tall, slight flared upright shape like a fine pail with great dignity and usefulness to industrious housekeeper.remember Mrs. Bridges from Upstairs, Downstairs? Hudson would approve and no doubt Downton Abbey has a few on display as well. It stands 6.25" tall and 5.75" across open top. I would guestimate, holds about a quart liquid capacity overall. It is in sound fine condition with no damage, no chips, no hairlines. nothing beyond the the usual firing scratch in the making or tiny rough clay blob on rim glazed over. I know this is English having travelled to the UK buying fields myself seeing these on offer occasionally, and this lovely example was deacessioned last week from a retired English Dealer in Gettysburg, PA who purchased it

T.F. REPPERT Greensboro PA Antique Stoneware Crock Jar Grey Blue 2 Gallon Plow
T.F. Reppert antique stoneware crock from Greensboro PA. Sadly this one is broken. It was shipped to my father and didn't survive the trip. He is thinning out his collection beginning with the broken ones. This was broken into pieces and glue repaired. I'm sure a professional repair job could be possible. But this feels pretty sturdy as is. It would not hold water but still displays well. It's a beautiful piece of history that can't be replaced and shouldn't just be thrown away because it's broken. So, in it's AS IS state, with this low starting price I would say this would be a great piece to bulk up a growing or new collection, or for shelf display. Low starting price for a piece that would be worth over $200 in mint condition. This is a 2 gallon crock that measures 7.25" across the top, 12" tall, and ... more7.5" across the bottom. It has a blue band at the top and at the bottom. One squiggly line near top. It says T F Reppert, Greensboro PA, features a plow design in the center and has a number 2 with arrows on each side. I've tried to photograph this in as much detail as possible, so please see pics for exact condition. I will bubble wrap, double box, paper shred or peanut this to make it as safe for shipping as possible. Please ask any questions before bidding, Thank you for looking! ANTIQUE OVOID STONEWARE JAR, OPEN HANDLED, COGGLE MARKS, HAND PAINTED
ANTIQUE OVOID STONEWARE JAR. OPEN HANDLED, COGGLE MARKS, HAND PAINTED I am not a stoneware expert so I am just going to tell you what I see. I have had this piece in my personal collection for years and have not been able to identify it. Any experts out there are welcome and encouraged to comment on this piece. This is an interesting ovoid stoneware jar. It has no lid. It holds almost 1 gallon. It has a very nice coggle design under the hand painted design. I think this crock may be from the North East as the design is of a river running into the sea with the waves crashing on to the high cliffs. If it were from the south east you would think it would be less green and lower beach area. But this is only a guess. There are a few condition concerns, two hair lines emanating from the upper rim and some minor paint loss. There are a few glaze ... morepops near the lower rim. Please see pictures CONDITION: GOOD SOME DAMAGE see pictures SIZE: 7.5” X 8” SHIPPING WEIGHT INCLUDING PACKING MATERIALS: 5.5LBS. This is a heavy piece please check shipping calculator so there are no shipping surprises. Payment should be sent within three days of auction end. Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar Crock Wax Sealer Earthenware 1880
For sale is a Antique Albany Slip Stoneware Pottery Jar or Crock. This is an old Wax Sealer sometimes referred to as Earthenware. The jar is 4.75" tall and 4.75" in diameter. The jar is in good antique condition with some edge chipping and a ghost hairline on the base that does not show on the inside. The jar will still hold water. I rarely find these pieces in this size. I have tested it for lead so I would date it to about 1880 to 1900. Glass jars were still quite expensive so stoneware jars were still in use during the late 19th century especially in the South. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. Early American REDWARE Stoneware Ovoid CROCK Jar Incised BEST Glaze RARE Handled
Lg. Early ANTIQUE REDWARE Stoneware OVOID CROCK Jar Jug Incised- RARE Handles This listing is for an early antique stoneware redware ovoid shape handled crock or storage jar with primitive. Out of round form. The handles on this crock are very unusual and rare. They look to be formed or pulled from the piece. Rather than applied as is commonly seen. The crock is indented, creating a recess behind each handle that allows for carrying. The handles are joined to the main body of the crock on each end. They have an arched shape that makes them easy and comfortable to hold on to. It seems to be an ingenious design. Yet I have not seen this type of handle before. And cannot find another example in any of the American stoneware pottery books. This utilitarian crock or jar was given some beautiful decorative touches with both incised and raised banding ... morearound the body of the piece. At the mouth. There is a rolled rim with two incised bands beneath. In the middle, at handle height, the crock has four raised bands that encircle it at the widest point. The glaze on this jar is stunning. With a wide range of color. There are shapes formed by the glaze that look almost like letters, perhaps a mark of some sort? Or maybe just a happy accident. I believe this piece is quite old. Dating to the early to mid 19 th century. Possibly even the late 18 th century. Though I don’t know the exact age. It measures approx. 12” tall and 12” across the widest point. The mouth is approx. 8-8 ½” across and the base measures 6 ¼” in diameter. The handles are approx. 3 ¼” long x ½” thick. The jar is in very good antique condition. It has appropriate wear for a utilitarian pottery piece of this age. The piece has no cracks or other structural damage. The lip of the crock shows a fair amount of age related wear. Most of the wear is superficial only. With a number of areas where the glaze has flaked or chipped off, but there are just a couple of shallow surface chips as well(please see pictures. The exterior body of the piece is
