By 4" wide at the actual opening, by 6 1/4" across at the base and 9" wide including the handle. There is a blue crown logo stamped into the side of the crock with a#3 in the center circle. Vintage Blue Glaze Stonewear Saltbox w/Matching Lid (RARE) Swastika Design
HTF 19800s Blue Glaze Saltbox with the ma tching lid. This saltbox is 4" tall and 6" across and in very good condition for it's age. It does have a very small chip on the rim of the lid and a chip near the nail h ole where it would have hung on a wall or post. it has the Native American good symbol(swastika) all around the container and also on the lid. This is a Vintage Blue Crown 2 Gallon Stoneware water Cooler Crock With Lid A nd Sp igot. Th is is a cool old crock. I do not know it's exact age. I t looks like the lid may be a replacement but I cannot tell for sure. The spigot is pla stic and the interior of the cr ock and lid are immaculate so your guess as to the age of this is as good as mine. This would make a big hit on your Thanksgiving beverage table or next summer picnic. The exterior of the crock has quite a bit of crazing and also has a yellowi sh discoloration of the glaze. i do not know if it could be cleaned off but I do know it adds to the character of the item. Offering a nice Antique Blue and White stoneware Salt or Butter Crock with Lid. It has a nice two-tone blue& white color on the crock and lid. With blue only on the inside. This has a raised lid, as is often with a salt box or crock. These came marked both as Salt or Butter; also unmarked, as is this one. We think the condition of the crock is good. But please check the pictures for your own determination. It does have a very fine crack on one side, running from the top, 3 in. down the side, not very noticeable; it has only one chip. A tiny flake on the top rim, probably a burst mould bubble. The lid has seen lots of use. It has chips and a fine crack; it does fit nice and tight on it's base. This is a blue and white salt crock in the Apple Blossom pattern with a lid from the apricot pattern. The base has a diamond background and there are apple blossoms on each side of the"salt" The lid does not look bad with this base but it is not the apple blossom pattern. It is the apricot. This item measures approximately 5 3/4" to the top of the hanger. It is a beautiful piece but it has been loved over the years and well used. The lid has been repaired and has a few chips. The base does have three cracks and hairline cracks that viewable on the backside, lip of the base and the front side of the hanger and inside the base. Please see pictures. Up for bid is this vintage pottery crock with the cobalt blue Crown 3 hallmark and the lid. The outside is glazed in beige. With a cobalt blue crown. The inside is glazed in beige as well. The crock is a 3 gallon size and measures 11 1/4" tall, 10 3/4" wide. What makes this crock rare is that the lid is still intact and with it, as I have found very few with the lid included. This auction is for a Fantastic Antique Robin's Egg Blue Salt Glaze Butter Crock with its original lid. The crock has a neat block shaped pattern around the top and bottom and is beautifully colored in a Soft Blue Salt Glaze. The crock has two side holes for a handle. Both the lid and the crock are in very good condition. Especially considering their age. There are no chips or cracks. Which is rare for crockery of this era. There are several condition issues from th e manufacturing process. Such as glaze drips and roughness around the edges. There is also a firing line around the lid handle(see last photo) It is not a crack as it doesn't go through to the other side. I got this at a clean smoke free collectors auction. This is a vintage crock. There are a few minor cosmetic conditions but it displays VERY very well! The lid fits perfectly and is in good vintage condition. There are a few hairline cracks. On the bottom and and a bottom edge(see pics#4-5) The bottom hairline crack does go through to the inside but it is still very solid and not going to break unless you drop it of course: There is also a chip on the top edge(see pic#3) There is some milk white splash on it which you can see in the first pic but I'm confident you can clean that off if you want without damaging the crock finish. Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This primitive hanging salt crock from the late 1800's will add some lovely country charm to your home. The heavy salt glazed blue and white decorated pottery can be hung or displayed on a hutch or counter. It has a hinged wooden lid and a hole in the back of the pottery for mounting on a wall Though over a hundred years old. This crock is in remarkably good shape. It does have the typical mold flaws of early stoneware. In addition, the interior has a dime sized spot where the surface glaze is missing and there is a small chip in the glaze on the front edge. see pics) There is the typical age crazing and hairlines to the glaze but the cobalt decoration is bright and the pottery is structurally sound. The hinged wooden lid is nicely aged over the years but was split in the back and looks to have been ... moreglued- it wiggles a bit but is intact and the lid goes up and down on the hinges. Up for auction I have an old stoneware crock lid. The lid is 11-1/4 inches across. The fitter or inside rim starts at 9-1/4 inches and bevels out to 9-11/16 inches. One big chip on the inside and a lot of roughage. All in all I think it is a pretty neat piece. The colors remind me of the lidded water coolers. But I really do not know. Weighs 3 pounds 6 ounces. This example has a nice carmel color over cream.The lid could be a replacement as it almost looks like a mix of brown and black. The lid is a perfect match to the crock. There is what could be a small chip under the lid but I think it was a casting flaw. Judging from the nice color inside. Vintage Blue & White Salt Crock w/Wooden Lid (G61)
Up for auction is a primitive looking salt crock w/wooden lid. It measures 4’ High to the top rim and and just over 5 ½’ at it’s Highest point. It measures 6 ¼’ across the wooden top. One of the hinges is missing also there is a crack on the inside along with 1 tiny flea bite. I do not see any other damage except some imperfections in the making of this piece. Blue and White Stoneware DAISY Trellis/Waffle Weave Salt BUTTER CROCK w/LID
ANTIQUE BLUE& WHITE STONEWARE WAFFLE OR TRELLIS& DAISY CROCK! TheTrellis or Waffle& Daisy pattern is sometimes attributed to Brush/McCoy. This wonderful piece has 4 daisies with a waffle weave type background and decorative rim. Hard-to-find LID IS INCLUDED! Lids are always the first to break. So this is truly a rare find. No cracks or repairs. The lid has a 1/4" chip on edge and a large chip on the underside(as shown in photo) The crock has a few tiny flea-bite chips in the glaze and some wear around the top edge(see photo) that's normal for a piece of this age. I've had it for decades. Hate to part with it, but need to downsize. If it doesn't sell now, I'll keep it. From a non-smoking home.
