There are some flaws such as a small chip on the top rim of the crock. And inner rim of the lid. Ware along the top rim of the lid and handle. A small crack on the side of the crock. Up for sale is an Antique whiskey? apple cider Jug/ Crock Jug. It measures 9" tall by 7 1/2" wide by itself. Its 12 1/2" tall with the handle up. This is a great looking jug but it does have a few issues. there is the chip on the lip of the spout, it only shows on the one side you can spin it around for display and it does not show. Also there is a chip on the bottoms edge. the handle has weather wear to it like sun rot, and the wire is rusted but the handle is still working fine. this is a great jug and it has a great look. it needs a big cork for the top and its ready for display. please email with any questions, I have 4 more of these type jugs listed now in my store, thank you.

Antique Butter Churn Stoneware 6 gallon Catawba NC Two Style Handle Rare 18'5"
Up for auction is this rare and complete Catawba Valley butter churn in excellent condition. It is the largest size made and few still exist so its quite a fine piece of history. Catawba pottery is famous for the alkaline stoneware made from the river valley of western North Carolina. Has number 6 imbedded below handle and comes with churn lid and wooden dasher. This also tells me with the style and location of the number that it is a Reinhardt piece. Another tell tale sign its a Reinhardt is the ribbing or rings that you can see and feel going around the base of churn. I captured that in the 6th picture on the inside. I couldnt get a good picture of the ribbing on the outside but it is noticable and adds more character. The handles are of two styles. One of a pig ear or lug. The other is a large loop handle. This style of churn handle was ... moredeveloped to make carrying such a large churn easier. The bottom of lid has a one inch chip/crack that was done prior to glaze and firing so its a mfg default. Its the way it was made, not at all noticable(I felt it before I saw it) but please see picture for reference. The small crack/chip is filled with glaze and is nice and smooth. Measures 18.5" tall with lid on. Top rim measures almost 10" across. Bottom measures 10.25" across. The middle is a bit wider than both top and bottom but difficult to get accurate dimention. Handle to handle is 13" I took pictures outdoors. Just want to be sure you get to see accurate pictures and colors. Also the 41" dash has a crack in the bottom portion of the wood handle. Would not be seen when inside churn. Churn alone weighs 26lbs. It will be shipped carefully with foam ect and have listed it at 30lbs for packing/box weight. The dash will have to be shipped separate and would be around $15.00 extra. I will refund any shipping costs over my cost for materials. I get boxes free, but nothing else. It's unmarked and I believe very old; from the mid to late 1800's(purchased from a local dealer) It has a rough(concave) bisque bottom and some glaze infractions, but is without chips or hairlines. Weight is slightly over 2 pounds, and the crock measures 6-1/4" height with a base diameter of 4-9/16" by 4-1/2" and the ovoid top is 5-1/2" diameter by 4-3/4" diameter. Antique Blue & White Spongeware Spatterware Stoneware Bowl with Bail Handle
This bowl is wonderful. The color is a deep blue and the blue is flowing. There is a small chip on the bottom of the rim and a surface crack on the bottom of the extension where the bail handle is attached. There is also a surface crack that runs the width of the rim and an inch down the bowl. It looks like it was there from firing. It has not gone thru the side of the bowl. You can't even see evidence of it when you look at the top of the rim so it is not deep. On the bottom outside of the bowl is an impression of a star. It is in the pottery itself. This is not a repo.

Up for auction is a very nice old jug. The inside is stoneware and is in perfect condition. I do not know the brand. There is part of a label, but I wasn't able to figure out a brand name. The outside is great. There is very little paint loss, it does look dirty, but I definitely didn't try to clean it. The stopper is a metal with a rubber ring. Great old covered butter crock with bail handle. This crock measures 7 3/4" in diameter and 5 3/4" in height to the top of the lid. It is made of a yellow clay with a blue/gray salt glaze textured body and raised blue floral design. The number 3 is embossed in the rim of the base just above the floral design(see photo#2) It is in fine condition having no chips or cracks in base or lid. Old Antique H.A. Johnson Co Home Made Preserves Stoneware Crock Boston Handle This old crock once contained"Home Made" brand preserves from the H.A. Johnson Company of Boston. According to someone who worked there. This firm made jams and pie fillings, among other products. The company was bought by King Arthur Flour in the 70s. Details: The crock itself measures 6" high by about 4-1/2" across the top and about 5-3/4" across the bottom. With the handle up. It's 8-1/2" high. It weighs over 2-1/2 pounds. Age unknown, but appears to be old. Condition: Possible very slight hairline at the top(above the"O" and the"M" in"HOME" old chip out of wooden handle. No lid. Also note that the first"R" of"PRESERVES" isn't complete because of a gouge in the clay that was ... morethere when the label was stenciled on—the depression in the clay is glazed. All-over crazing. What a crock! Up for sale here on eBay i have the following: A vintage crock. Light tan coloring. Has the original black wooden handle that is attached by a metal wire. Wire has actually worn off on one side. Has crazing. Especially on the inside. There are a couple blemishes on the outside. Lid looks really nice. Both holes on each side are thinly made, but still intact! There is a stress crack on the bottom and a couple of other maker imperfections on the outside a one on the underside of the lid; which gives this piece a great look. Vintage 1920's/1930's or earlier crock jar. It measures 7 1/2" tall and 6 3/8" outside diameter at top. The capacity looks like 1- 1 1/2 gallons. It is a heavy thick wall salt glaze glazed stoneware stone ware pottery jug with metal bale handle and wood wooden black handle grip in excellent condition. There is no lid. The crock displays beautifully and shows wear as pictured- dings. Hairline cracks, etc. This is a very well made heavy, thick walled crock. It is sold as is. $14.00 postage.
