Extremely Rare M&T Miller Newport, PA 2 Gallon Crock (Near Mint)
You are bidding on a original 2 gallon M& T Miller decorated stoneware from Newport. Pennsylvania. This crock has a beautifully painted large cobalt blue floral design. These crocks are extremely rare and have sold at auction for well over $10.000. The crock displays beautifully with the painted blue floral design being in extremely fine condition. At the top of the crock the words"M. T. Miller Newport. PA 2" can be seen. This crock is in very nice condition. I would describe it as mint if there wasn't a couple extremely minor flaws. At the top of the crock there are two small chips measuring 1/8" 1/4" No Cracks There are two more chips. But can not be seen when being displayed. Underneath the one handle I can feel a very small chip, and on the bottom of the crock is another chip. I took a picture of where the ... morechip on the bottom is to illustrate that it can not be seen when it is sitting flat(2nd to last photo) It can only be seen when the crock is flipped over. I live roughly 15 minutes from Newport. PA and came across one a few months ago and listed it for sale. That crock had a couple major problems with it including two large cracks that almost went the entire way down the crock. It also had numerous chips. I have seen one M&T Miller jug for sale on ebay since then, and no crocks since mine. And when I searched on ebay when I purchased the first crock I could not find one that had been sold. This shows just how extremely rare these crocks are. Also, to find one in this type of condition could, without paying an extremely high price, take months upon months if not years. On the bottom of the crock the word"Peffer" can be seen. I am not sure if this was possibly the last name of a worker who made it. Or if it was the original owner. Measurements: 9 1/4" Height) x 10 1/2" Diameter. Rare Antique Two Toned Brown White Crock Kennedy Barrowfield Potteries Glasgow
This auction is for a rare crock. It was made by Kennedy Barrowfield Potteries Glasgow. I really know very little about it. It stands 13 to 14 inches tall and is approx 9 inches in diameter. The handle is in great shape. The only flaw is a chip by the rim and I uncertain if this possibly is original to the piece and happened during it being made maybe in the firing process. Regardless it is an amazing piece of pottery. Thanks for looking.

Antique Blue White Salt Glaze Stoneware Large Milk Crock Bail Bowl RARE! Minty!
In the years that I have owned this bowl I have never seen another one. The best I can tell from my internet research and consulting the Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware. This is an Apple Blossom on diamond waffle patterned salt glazed stoneware milk crock. It is missing the bail. Aside from that, this piece is near mint. There is a imperfection in one of the bail ears that appears it may have occurred during the firing process because it looks glazed over. No other cracks, no chips. It measures 10" across(or just under 11.5" from bail ear to ear) 5" high and 6" wide across the base. Milk crocks this size in other patterns are in the book. The molding on this is very sharp and crisp. The apple blossom on diamond waffle is shown on other pieces such as butter and salt crocks, however I cannot find this ... morepattern on this bowl anywhere. If you have ever seen one or have any information on this piece I would love to know more, please message me! Rare Museum Quality + Daniel Seagle Lincoln County 1830s NC Pottery Jar Crock
For your consideration and probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a museum quality plus example of Daniel Seagle pottery. Daniel Seagle(1805-1867) of Lincoln County. North Carolina had the first recorded pottery operating in Catawba Valley. Seagle made utilitarian wares for the local farming families.jars.churns.jugs and pitchers to the quality of being called the best ever produced in NC history. North Carolina was enriched by Daniel teaching family members and journey men his style and quality of throwing pots. The pictures tell the story of this beautiful little one gallon jar.flawless. The storage jar is 8 3/4" tall.about 21" around the middle of the ovoid body.5" diameter on the base and 5" at the rolled rim with a rich dark green runny alkaline glaze. It has a very strong"DS" stamp on one ear ... moreand"1" on the other. You don't see many signed pieces up for sell but when you do you will see large pots and seldom a small meat jar like this from around 1830. The danielseagle.com site has used a picture of this jar for about 5 years now. I bought it out of a Portsmouth, VA home and it had been in the family, the lady's whole life. Check the pictures very good and bid if you want one of the best Daniel Seagle pieces of pottery/stoneware that will ever be offered.

Rare Antique A.B. Wheeler Boston, MA Stoneware Crock w/Large Bird & Branch Glaze
This auction is for a rare A.B. Wheeler& Co. 3 gallon stoneware crock with a beautiful cobalt blue bird decoration. This crock is incised A.B. Wheeler& Co. 69 Broad Street Boston. Mass. above a large number 3. There is a very large decoration of a bird on a branch, which takes up most of the front of the crock. The crock is about 10.5" tall and 10.5" wide and is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or repairs, and only 3 very small chips. The largest is about 3/8" and is on the rim. There is also a very small chip on the right handle, and another tiny chip to the rim. The interior glaze of the crock is perfect and remarkably clean. This crock was freshly picked from an attic in an old Andover, Massachusetts estate. A.B. Wheeler& Co. was active from about 1860-1890 and I would estimate this crock to date from ... morearound 1880. This is a beautiful crock and would make a wonderful addition to any stoneware collection. Good luck and thanks for bidding. Please see my other auctions. Powered by The free listing tool. Early American REDWARE Stoneware Ovoid CROCK Jar Incised BEST Glaze RARE Handled
Lg. Early ANTIQUE REDWARE Stoneware OVOID CROCK Jar Jug Incised- RARE Handles This listing is for an early antique stoneware redware ovoid shape handled crock or storage jar with primitive. Out of round form. The handles on this crock are very unusual and rare. They look to be formed or pulled from the piece. Rather than applied as is commonly seen. The crock is indented, creating a recess behind each handle that allows for carrying. The handles are joined to the main body of the crock on each end. They have an arched shape that makes them easy and comfortable to hold on to. It seems to be an ingenious design. Yet I have not seen this type of handle before. And cannot find another example in any of the American stoneware pottery books. This utilitarian crock or jar was given some beautiful decorative touches with both incised and raised banding ... morearound the body of the piece. At the mouth. There is a rolled rim with two incised bands beneath. In the middle, at handle height, the crock has four raised bands that encircle it at the widest point. The glaze on this jar is stunning. With a wide range of color. There are shapes formed by the glaze that look almost like letters, perhaps a mark of some sort? Or maybe just a happy accident. I believe this piece is quite old. Dating to the early to mid 19 th century. Possibly even the late 18 th century. Though I don’t know the exact age. It measures approx. 12” tall and 12” across the widest point. The mouth is approx. 8-8 ½” across and the base measures 6 ¼” in diameter. The handles are approx. 3 ¼” long x ½” thick. The jar is in very good antique condition. It has appropriate wear for a utilitarian pottery piece of this age. The piece has no cracks or other structural damage. The lip of the crock shows a fair amount of age related wear. Most of the wear is superficial only. With a number of areas where the glaze has flaked or chipped off, but there are just a couple of shallow surface chips as well(please see pictures. The exterior body of the piece is
