Rare Old Stoneware Crock Lid Nice Design 2 or 3 Gallon crock 10" lid
Up for auction today is a Vintage S to neware lid Unknown ma ker and item this goes on. But. I found it on top of a Monmouth 2 Gallon crock, and it fit, but just a bit big and d id not look right. So I am pretty sure it did not go with it-but would assume it would be for a 2 or 3 gallon stoneware crock. Measures just over 1 0.25" diameter and is 8.5" wide at t he insert that goes into the crock. That part is be veled or ang eled. This auction offers a wonderful antique stoneware crock with a bail wire handle and it's original lid. Overall the crock is in great conditon for it;s age. There are some flaws such as a small chip on the top rim of the crock. And inner rim of the lid. Ware along the top rim of the lid and handle. A small crack on the side of the crock. We have pictured all of these flaws, so please look at the photos before bidding. All and all this antique is in great condition. It is approx. 11" high from the top of the handle to the bottom. This is a Vintage Blue Crown 2 Gallon Stoneware water Cooler Crock With Lid A nd Sp igot. Th is is a cool old crock. I do not know it's exact age. I t looks like the lid may be a replacement but I cannot tell for sure. The spigot is pla stic and the interior of the cr ock and lid are immaculate so your guess as to the age of this is as good as mine. This would make a big hit on your Thanksgiving beverage table or next summer picnic. The exterior of the crock has quite a bit of crazing and also has a yellowi sh discoloration of the glaze. i do not know if it could be cleaned off but I do know it adds to the character of the item. Offering a nice Antique Blue and White stoneware Salt or Butter Crock with Lid. It has a nice two-tone blue& white color on the crock and lid. With blue only on the inside. This has a raised lid, as is often with a salt box or crock. These came marked both as Salt or Butter; also unmarked, as is this one. We think the condition of the crock is good. But please check the pictures for your own determination. It does have a very fine crack on one side, running from the top, 3 in. down the side, not very noticeable; it has only one chip. A tiny flake on the top rim, probably a burst mould bubble. The lid has seen lots of use. It has chips and a fine crack; it does fit nice and tight on it's base. It is almost 9.5" tall. 5 3/4" acrossed the opening, andabout 7" acoss bottom, I would say this would hold over a gallon, There are no cracks to this crocks sounds great, There is some chipping to the bottom and the underside of the lid, If I am correct these crocks were used for storeing meat, you would fry it and place it in the crock and pour fat drippings over the meat and store in a cool place, you could then pull back some of the fat and get your meat out, then put the fat back on this would keep for a good spell. Is this gorgeous Blue and White Stoneware Butter Crock with Lid in the Daisy and Waffle Pattern. This beauty features a Trellis Background that Hosts Four Daisies under a Swirl Border. The lid repeats the trellis background. The designation"large" is warranted because this piece is larger than any piece in this pattern that I have ever had to sell- 5 1/4" tall and 7 1/4" wide! Blue and White Stoneware Apple Blossom Salt Crock with Apricot Lid
This is a blue and white salt crock in the Apple Blossom pattern with a lid from the apricot pattern. The base has a diamond background and there are apple blossoms on each side of the"salt" The lid does not look bad with this base but it is not the apple blossom pattern. It is the apricot. This item measures approximately 5 3/4" to the top of the hanger. It is a beautiful piece but it has been loved over the years and well used. The lid has been repaired and has a few chips. The base does have three cracks and hairline cracks that viewable on the backside, lip of the base and the front side of the hanger and inside the base. Please see pictures. The inside unglazed rings are slightly different measurements of 6 1/4 inches on one side and 6 1/2 inches on the other side(perhaps to universally fit different crocks) This is an an oldie. But goodie if you need it for your old crock. There are a few extremely hard to see shallow fleabites on the edges, yet they can be felt. No cracks, but I can detect some very, very fine crazing if the light shines on it just right. Up for auction is a stoneware cheese or butter crock. It is a darker brown color with bail and rubber seal. It measures approx. 3 1/4" in diameter and 4 1/4' tall not including the bail and the highest pont of the top or the knob.It has 175 and the cent mark on the bottom. It is in good used condition however it does have some scuffing or scratches on the one side. It does not take away from its use or even its appeal. ANTIQUE NEW ENGLAND PRIMITIVE LARGE 12.25" DIAMETER& HEAVY 6 1/2 LBS. WHITE STONEWARE POTTERY CROCK LID COVER IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. The antique white stoneware pottery lid cover fits onto an antique crock-it is large and thick and heavy(see pics) and it measures approx. 12.25" across in diameter x approx. 2 1/8" tall. The diameter across of the measurement of the underside part that fits into the crock measures approx. 10" to 10 1/8" across(see pic of underside of lid) The lid is a lovely white-washed slip pottery stoneware with a large knob handle at top(see pics) it is in excellent undamaged condition with no stains or cracks or chips-with the exception of one small air crack on the inside of the top rim which was probably made during the heating/firing process and should not be considered a flaw as it appears ... moreto have been made during the pottery's creation-I have included a pic of this in a close-up for your inspection-please see pic. This antique stoneware lid is heavy and thick and weighs approx. 6 1/2 lbs. ANTIQUE 1 GALLON STONEWARE CROCK JAR WITH METAL LID AND CUP UNMARKED
This auction is for an antique 1 gallon stoneware crock jar with original lid and cup. The crock is in great condition. No cracks or breaks. It has a couple little chips along the top edge. But could be mold chips. They look like they've been there for awhile. The lid does have some rust damage, and has a couple spots where it's gone though(pictured) The cup has some rust and has one 1/2" crack(pictured) Measures 10" tall with the cup on it, and 7" wide. I don't see any markings on it. Please look at the pictures to judge condition for yourself. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer to the best of my abilities.
