We are listing today for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th Century Pennsylvania Stoneware Saltglazed Cobalt Blue Striper Design 1 Gallon Crock. This crock is in Excellent Condition with1 very minor surface crack that starts at the outside of the top rim and goes down the front to the 1st blue stripe. This could possibly have happened during the making of this crock. There are no chips. No other cracks, and or repairs. The crock is 100% structually sound, rings true, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the exceptional condition of this piece. There is as well areas on the bottom and the base where the glaze was completely missed, showing the red clay. 2 gal Louisville Stoneware Crock Indian Chief Stars
I am selling this Indian Chief Stars Crock that i got from my GrandMother. I believe it was made by Louisville Pottery Company/ Louisville Stoneware. She lived in Louisville. Ky. It has a number 2 on the bottom of the crock. I think this is indicating that the size is 2 gallons. I know it is more than 2 quarts. The pictures show the measurements and condition which I think are good for its age and use. Also It looks to me like it is made out of clay. Also it weighs about 10 lbs.

AAFA - Small 19th c. Butter Crock w/Cover, Cobalt Blue Swags, 1/2 Gal.
Found in New England is this great looking. Slightly tapered 1/2 gal. salt-glazed stoneware cake crock with 7 repeating dark cobalt blue swags. The dark tan glaze is still glossy and completely covers the bottom as well as the sides. There is a decorative incised line 1-1/2" down from the top that goes completely around the crock. The interior is a rich brown albany slip. Included with the crock is a very nicely fitting lid, although I'm not sure if it is original to the crock. The crock stands only 4-3/4" high with an 11/16" lip x 7-3/8" wide at the top, and 7-3/4" wide at the bottom. The condition is excellent and solid, although there is a professionally filled hairline that can be seen in the last photo. There are also a few old surface chips on the top of the lid. Antique Hamilton & Jones Greensboro Pa 1 gal Crock Stoneware Decorated 19thC VTG
Up for auction is this 1 gallon stoneware crock made by Hamilton& Jones Greensboro Pennsylvania in the mid to late 1800s. It is a putty color stoneware with a clean rich color inside. It is 9 1/2 inches tall. 5 3/4 inches across the top and 6 1/4 inches across the bottom. There is a slight hairline that starts at the rim and is hard to see, starts at top and is 2 1/2 inches long and is inside also. The other is what appears to be a glaze stress line on the back of the crock. As I have tried to show you in last two pics, this hairline or stress fracture starts 2- 3 inches from the top and spiders down like a lightening bolt, as you can see in last two photos, it is not inside the crock. It does reach to approx 2 inches from the bottom of the crock near where there is a chunk chip out of the bottom. Overall this crock is a great piece. ... moreThese imperfections are not noticable. I didn't even see what Im calling a stress fracture to the glaze until just now. I list all imperfections because I want you to know what you are getting. Aprox. Dimentions are 14" tall by 12 1/2" across. This crock is in superb condition and appears unused. There is a small 1/4' hairline crack in one handle that seems to pose no structural threat. Up for auction is a very nice storage crock. Crock has some cracks running through. See pics. I don't believe that the crock has ever been apart. Looks like it may have sat outside and froze. Crock has a few chips, here and there. Very nice decoration, approx 8 3/4 inches high. Pics tell all, real nice shelf piece, has one really nice side, for display. This auction is for an antique H.H. ZIGLER NEWVILLE PA. stoneware crock. It has a nice clear stamp as shown and rather small measuring just 6 1/4" tall by 7" across the top. Crock only holds about 3/4 gallon. There is an old rim chip and some light staining as shown. Rim chip is located on the back side. Directly across from the stamp and can't be seen when displayed. This is a lovely Antique Early 20th Century 2-Gallon CROWN“Cobalt Blue” Banded in Mint Condition. The crock has no lid or spigot. The crock is clearly marked with the CROWN logo and 2 Gallon size number in the same Cobalt Blue as the band at its center. The Crock is in Mint Condition with no breaks. Chips, cracks or crazing- not even a hairline or nick. It is absolutely pristine. I have never seen another crock with this many decorative“Cobalt Blue” bands. There are 6 of them encircling the crock, each 1/2” wide, 1 at the top, 1 at the bottom and 2 sets 2 on each side of the center. The crock measures 7-1/2” across the top, curving outward to 9” across its bulbous center and narrowing to 8” across the base and stands 11-3/4” high. The stoneware is 1/2” thick. The inside measurement at the top is 6-5/8” and the spigot hole is 3/4” The crock ... morehas a“fired” glaze over its natural off-white stoneware and cobalt blue colors. Rare Double Stamped Vintage Love Field Dallas Texas 2 Gal. Stoneware Crock
Up for your consideration is this rare double stamped antique Love Field Potteries stoneware 2 gallon crock. Complete with the original lid. This crock was mistakenly double stamp in manufacturing and could very possibly be the only one of its kind? It measures 10 1/2 inches tall, 9 inches wide at the base and will make a great addition to any antique crock or stoneware collection. As you can see in the photos around the top edge there are a couple more factory flaws. The dark brown marks at the top rim are also factory mistakes in the molding. Elaborately Decorated 3 Gal. Remmey Baltimore, MD Stoneware Crock Jar Pot
Up for your consideration is a scarce 3 gallon Remmey pot made while potting in Baltimore. MD. This piece is probably around 1840.I'm saying Baltimore because he used the same decoration on a few water coolers at the time and the collar and heavy lug handles look more Baltimore than Philadelphia, PA but it could go either way. Some experts could probably tell one from the other. The crock is decorated with large vertical floral designs front and back with cobalt brush work to the handles ends and hanging flowers below the lugs. It is 13 1/4" tall.9" on the top.6 1/2" on the bold footed base and 34" around the ovoid middle. There is a flake off the rim and a tight spider hairline coming up the the base 3 1/2" The crock is a sound as from the kiln. Cowden served in the Civil War years before.It's in good condition with no cracks or holes. Just to let you know there's a chip on one spot on the base. Very old or possibly there when it was made and a very small nick on the outside top lip. No one would mention these because they are insignificant, but I like to let folks know everything so they're happy with an item that I send them. For it's age it is in terrific condition because if you know about stoneware it's very difficult to find with no damage, some can be major. The oval is 2 1/4" wide and has standard wording and decoration. This oval and wing combination of wing and oval was used from around 1917 to 1933. This crock was made without handles. This crock is slightly over 13" tall and the bottom is almost 12" in diameter. This crock does have rust stains on the interior's bottom. Approximately 120 degrees from the front is a crack. This crack starts at the top rim and runs vertically for approximately 7 1/2" Approximately 160 degrees from the front is a barely perceptible chip. There are a few small chips on the rim. and a tiny one on the handle. See pictures) Towards the bottom of the crock there is a straight line going partially around the crock. I believe it is a hairline crack. But I am not sure. Maybe it was in the design process. See picture) It has no cracks inside the crock. Under the one handle is carved the number 10. 20 Galllon Gal. Red Wing Crock Lid Redwing
Auction includes a hard to find original lid for a 20 gallon Red Wing Crock. As shown this does have some minor manufacturing flaws which are common in stoneware items this size. Pictured are a couple of surface hairline cracks that do not go through the lid. The metal bale as shown has some rust. Have included close ups of area where lid was not completely glazed over and has since acquired some age discoloration. Also note a couple of glaze pops. Underside shows quite a bit of excess material around the center area along with another hairline which does not go through. These were not fine pieces of china and quality control was lacking. Despite the above mentioned this is still the nicest example of a 20 gallon lid I have seen. Appears all flaws were production made with little if any post production damage. The $50 shipping is just a estimate ... moreas piece is heavy and will have to be crated to ensure safe arrival. If there is and over charge in shipping it will be refunded.
