The Wing ... moreon this crock is much larger and brighter than I have seen on many crocks. Beautiful. The crock itself is very clean and in wonderful condition especially for being almost 100 years old. It is dated by the right handle. Patented, Dec. 21st, 1915. There are 2 cracks on the inside bottom that are about 3/4 of an inch long if that. One, a surface scratch and the other is a bit bigger. There is one turkey track on the back. There are some surface cracks around the crock, nothing serious at all. The Salt Glazed Lid has a light#10 on the top of one of the petals. It has some surface cracks on it, again nothing serious. It also has a few turkey tracks. The crock has one 1/2" chip on the bottom edge and the lid has one chip the same size approx. on the round lip underneath the lid. This crock is wonderful. I am maybe being to cautious about the details. It is 16& 1/2"s tall and approx. 16"s wide across the top. I also have a#12 and#8 crock listed. Please pay within 3 Days of the Ending Date of Auction. If you need more time just let me know. I am very flexible. I prefer payment through paypal, however if you need another method of payment let me know and we will see what we can do for you. Beautiful, Antique, Stoneware Crock with Bail Wire Handle & Original Lid
This auction offers a wonderful antique stoneware crock with a bail wire handle and it's original lid. Overall the crock is in great conditon for it;s age. There are some flaws such as a small chip on the top rim of the crock. And inner rim of the lid. Ware along the top rim of the lid and handle. A small crack on the side of the crock. We have pictured all of these flaws, so please look at the photos before bidding. All and all this antique is in great condition. It is approx. 11" high from the top of the handle to the bottom. The diameter is 6" at the top and 7 1/2" at the bottom. The crock is approx. 7" deep. This crock would make a great addition to any stoneware collection, or as a decorative item in a country kitchen. Up for sale is an Antique whiskey? apple cider Jug/ Crock Jug. It measures 9" tall by 7 1/2" wide by itself. Its 12 1/2" tall with the handle up. This is a great looking jug but it does have a few issues. there is the chip on the lip of the spout, it only shows on the one side you can spin it around for display and it does not show. An Estate Sale acquisition: Ceramic pot with pouring spout and handle. There is a makers mark on the end of the handle. But I'm unable to determine what it says. Measurements: 5 3/4" high. Mouth is approx. 4" across at the inside, and crock at the widest point is approx. 6 1/2" Crock does not have any chips. No visible cracks from use, and is sold as found. Could use a good cleaning. The material is stoneware with a blue and white glaze(may be a salt glaze) The bail handle has a black wooden grip. The bottom has an impressed Star with 3 outer rings of a raised block look. The top ri. Is a solid blue and has a nice design on the bottom edge. The maker is unknown but the blue marks on the inside near the top were probably their marks. There are a couple chips on the top edge but they have been there awhile as they are very smooth and the one seems to have some ... moreglaze in it also. The biggest flaw is a crack in the bottom of the bowl going about 1/4 of the way around the bottom. This crack can also be seen on the outside(in pic) This is a great old piece of history and would have great visual appeal for a collection. For the collector or decorator we are offering a primitive stoneware jug. It is 10 1/2" tall. 5 3/4" in diameter. The jug has a crack that goes completely around and has been glued back together. It's unmarked and I believe very old; from the mid to late 1800's(purchased from a local dealer) It has a rough(concave) bisque bottom and some glaze infractions, but is without chips or hairlines. Weight is slightly over 2 pounds, and the crock measures 6-1/4" height with a base diameter of 4-9/16" by 4-1/2" and the ovoid top is 5-1/2" diameter by 4-3/4" diameter. Tonight's Auction is for a Redware Ovoid Type Crock with a handle and about 5 3\4 inches high. About 6 1\4 inches wide top to the outside and about 4 1\4 inches wide on the base. Crock originates in Pennsylvania area, made in the late 1800's mostly to hold apple butter and had inside glazes.It tapers in on the outside from the lip about an inch down and has a groove there all around horizontally. It's in very good condition totally with only two tiny nicks on the outside top lip,and several wear spots inside near base which is typical for redware insides,just so you know, no surprises. One Gallon Ovoid Crock. Ear handles, 9 1/2" H on a 5 1/4" base D. Dark cobalt at the handle base connections. Incised bands. In 1823 the pottery business owned by William(W. States on pottery) was taken over by Ichobod States and Joshua Swan. Financial problems ended their pottery production in 1834. But by then the mark" Swan& States" Stonington" was familiar all the along the New England coast. Condition of this old crock is very good. There are two thin surface cracks(not through and through! visible at the bottom ... moreedge of the crock. Which you will see in our photos. One ends with a small bit missing, as you can see in the photo as well. There are the expected marks and surprises along the surface that one would expect on these great old crocks. 8 1/2? ANTIQUE HAND CARVED PEG JOINTED WOODEN DOLL SIGNED. I have today for your consideration a wonderful Antique Crock with Spout! What is amazing this still has the lid and wood handle! Hardly ever see one with lids anymore. The spout has some chips that almost look like glaze misses. The top is a slightly different color but could have been glazed at a different time. Nice etched design on it but unmarked. Almost 11" tall with lid. I thought I took a picture with the lid, will have to add it later. Grrr. old age strikes again! PLEASE SEE MY PHOTOS.
