A tall syrup in a slim tankard ... moreform with gorgeous conical lid in stoneware. It has Aged extremley well. Near Museum quality in our opinion and look at the shape. Slight underglaze darkening but glaze beautiful. gorgeous loop hangle with thumbrest. Lid immaculate. Hinge immaculate. Original gold lines on rails bordering collar almost completely cleaned off but an easy restoration. Magnificent the way it is. There seems to be the slightest rub of the lid on the backside shoulder edge and a nick. Perhaps but otherwise, near museum quality to me. The glaze on the top edge of the tankard looks poured on. Image 12 shows the depth of the glaze and crackling depth. Polychromic Hand colored transfer of a stylized water bird resembling a Great Blue Heron wading in flowered wetlands decorating each side of syrup body has great color and is in beautiful condition. Interesting thumb lever appears to be styled or formed as the back of a book and is serrated in a chevron on the thumb side for a sure grip while pouring. Stands 6 1/2" to the top edge of the slim tankard. And 8" to the finial on beautiful conical lid. Handsome slim tankard form with beautiful classic loop handle with great thumbrest. You will not find many of these around in this condition. Stamped"BENNETT'S/ JAN 23. 1873/ PATENT" I would be interested in the patented feature or innovation represented by that patent. Magnificent slim tapering form. Great loop handle, outstanding lid and outstanding condition make this one you will REALLY LIKE. We cleaned the exterior. Inside is very clean. Up for bid is a vintage pottery crock with the cobalt blue Crown 3 hallmark. The outside is glazed in beige. With a cobalt blue crown. The inside is glazed in a deep brown with rust streaks. USA is marked on the bottom. The crock is a 3 gallon size and measures 11 1/4" tall, 10 3/4" wide. It is in beautiful condition with no chips and only one tiny crack, barely visible in photo 5. There are a few manufacturing flaws, such as those shown in photo 3. Payment is due within 3 days of purchase. And Item will be carefully packed and shipped insured via UPS. Antique Circa 1850 "E - FERRIS" Pottery Ginger Beer Bottle Blue Shoulders N.R.
Up for auction is a very nice pottery ginger beer bottle. Reads E- Ferris. The shoulders. Name, and blob top are a nice cobalt blue. This bottle is in overall good condition, though there in one small flake from the top of the lip, a pot stone mark on the side, and a small minor line in the glaze from the base of the bottle, see pics. Overall these areas should not be too much of an issue for this rare bottle. All areas being mentioned are to be as accurate as I can and most of these bottles have these types of wear. Up for auction is a 3 gal. Eagle crock. In good condition. Crock has some staining, and discoloration, and some light spotting over front. Crock is in very good condition, 1 tooling mark on top rim, a hairline crack along the side of mark, running down approx. 3 inches, also 1 hairline running from bottom up, approx. 7 inches, and about 1 inch on bottom, and 2 inches another way on bottom. Very solid, crock does ping. Some minor roughness around inner rim, handles are in good condition, a little roughness. Normal ware and tear. The edge is wavy in one spot and that is how it was made see last photo. Color of my photo is just a tad more yellow. The item is a bit lighter in color. Kind of a off cream. It has some crazing and that is normal for pottery this old. I am guessing this is around 1920's era. No chips or damage just the crazing. Stoneware Pottery Crock Miniature Cobalt Blue Four Leaf Clover Rumborf
This miniature speckled stoneware crock has a deep colbalt blue four leaf clover and blue circles on either side of it and the name Rumborf on the other side(if I am reading it correctly? I do not know much about it except that I bought it in an antique shop and I can not find anything on the name on the internet. I did find that there was a potter in Maryland that often painted clovers and the clay was speckled. A wonderful miniature stoneware piece. Could be used for melted butter or as a cordial or could be planter in doll house. There are no chips or cracks other than there is a tiny rough area along the base which seems to be in the manufacture but I cant be sure. I have never seen another piece like this one. Offered is this Royal Blue Stoneware Covered Baker. Embossed on the underside of the base is" USA"This heavy cooking dish measures 9 5/8 inches in diameter. 3 1/2 inches deep and 6 inches tall. The weight is 5 pounds 3 ounces. There is a vertical hairline crack that runs 1 1/4 inches down from the rim on the lower piece. The last two pictures show this area in detail. There are no other cracks and no chips. There are a few tiny production glaze pops and hard to see crazing.

The rubber seal is missing. A great addition to any collection. The pottery is in extremely good condition with a fleck below the rim.The design has a fruit pattern. It is 5 inches tall and 6 1/4 inches across. The base is 6 1/4 inches across. VINTAGE CERAMIC BLUE SPECKLED CROCK canning jar container pottery pot storage
A speckled blue ceramic crock. Im not sure of the maker or the age of the crock but I think its a safe bet its pretty old. It looks reallg good. The blue is very vibrant. There is a small chip on the lid as puctured, it is very small. 6 3/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. The jar has a clamp that closes it and a gasket between the lid and jar. This wonderful piece has 4 daisies with a waffle weave type background and decorative rim. There are a few chips as shown. And some flea bites along the edges, as is common in stoneware of this vintage. Still a great piece for your collection that will display nicely.
