Antique 9-1/4" White Glazed Crock/Tureen Lid w/Design 9-1/4" white glazed cover or lid with knob and concentric ring. The inner ones with scalloped edges. Underside has an inner ring that measures 6-7/8" in diameter. Nice simple design. This is not bright white, but an aged white that has gray undertones to me. There are the usual slubs and imperfections from the glazing process, a couple of small darker areas. Nice condition overall. This is probably a bit small to be a crock lid and too fancy a top. I would sooner think that it's a soup tureen lid or something similar. This will ship in a Medium Flat Rate Priority Box. The P&H listed includes mandatory insurance on this breakable just to be safe. Please note, if you've been watching this listing, that I have amended the measurements. This stoneware crock came from an auction in Vermont. Unfortunately the lid goes not match the crock. The crock has a nice brown color. There are no cracks. Some light chipping on the top rim, please see all pictures. It measures 7 3/8" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter across the bottom. It holds 8 cups of liquid when full. Nice piece. Here is an old vintage crock lid. Stone color with a blue ring round it, you can see a little error in the blue ring, it is not chipped or cracked, it actually measures just a hair over 3 1/2 in across the top, the knob is about 1 3/4 across. This small vintage light beige crock stands about 7 1/8” high and is approx. 4” in diameter across the base. It originally had a top and handle– the holes are visible where the wire handle attached. This Crock Stoneware Lid has 4 deer(as opposed to 3 on most of these lids) and is 8 1/8 inches in total diameter. The fitting lip is 6 13/16 outside diameter. If you have a crock you need this lid for it must be less than 6 13/16 total top inside diameter and not larger than 8 1/8 top outside diameter. The pictures are highly accurate and should be used as your guide. This is a fantastic lid that I found locally. I believe it is a one gallon red wing crock lid. It is marked 1. Has a petal design, and a bar handle. It is in fantastic condition but has a small chip on the under side. see photo) The lid is 7 7/8 inches wide. The underside lip is to the outside is 6 3/8 inches.
