The exterior of the crock has quite a bit of crazing and also has a yellowi sh discoloration of the glaze. i do not know if it could be cleaned off but I do know it adds to the character of the item. This is a Vintage Blue Crown 2 Gallon Stoneware water Cooler Crock With Lid A nd Sp igot. Th is is a cool old crock. I do not know it's exact age. I t looks like the lid may be a replacement but I cannot tell for sure. The spigot is pla stic and the interior of the cr ock and lid are immaculate so your guess as to the age of this is as good as mine. This would make a big hit on your Thanksgiving beverage table or next summer picnic. The exterior of the crock has quite a bit of crazing and also has a yellowi sh discoloration of the glaze. i do not know if it could be cleaned off but I do know it adds to the character of the item. This is a lovely Antique Early 20th Century 2-Gallon CROWN“Cobalt Blue” Banded in Mint Condition. The crock has no lid or spigot. The crock is clearly marked with the CROWN logo and 2 Gallon size number in the same Cobalt Blue as the band at its center. The Crock is in Mint Condition with no breaks. Chips, cracks or crazing- not even a hairline or nick. It is absolutely pristine. I have never seen another crock with this many decorative“Cobalt Blue” bands. There are 6 of them encircling the crock, each 1/2” wide, 1 at the top, 1 at the bottom and 2 sets 2 on each side of the center. The crock measures 7-1/2” across the top, curving outward to 9” across its bulbous center and narrowing to 8” across the base and stands 11-3/4” high. The stoneware is 1/2” thick. The inside measurement at the top is 6-5/8” and the spigot hole is 3/4” The crock ... morehas a“fired” glaze over its natural off-white stoneware and cobalt blue colors. I got this at a clean smoke free collectors auction. This is a vintage crock. There are a few minor cosmetic conditions but it displays VERY very well! The lid fits perfectly and is in good vintage condition. There are a few hairline cracks. On the bottom and and a bottom edge(see pics#4-5) The bottom hairline crack does go through to the inside but it is still very solid and not going to break unless you drop it of course: There is also a chip on the top edge(see pic#3) There is some milk white splash on it which you can see in the first pic but I'm confident you can clean that off if you want without damaging the crock finish. Offered is this vintage or antique dark brown and beige glazed stoneware“beanpot” crock with handle and lid. The crock features a blue crown and“2” stamped on the front and is marked“ USA” on the bottom. The crock sits about 6 1/4” high. Including the lid and is approx. 7 1/2” across, including the handle. It holds 2 quarts of liquid(actually about 4 oz. more if filled completely to the rim) It is in very good condition; the only problem is a very small(about 1/4” chip on the edge of the top side of the lid. This chipped area is slightly larger on the underside of the lid.

Description: Here is a nice Robinson Ransbottom one-handled bean pot or crock. This isn’t the typical brown over cream color. This example has a nice carmel color over cream.The lid could be a replacement as it almost looks like a mix of brown and black. The lid is a perfect match to the crock. There is what could be a small chip under the lid but I think it was a casting flaw. Judging from the nice color inside. I do not think that anything was ever baked in this crock, especially beans. look at all my pictures as they are the best way for you to judge color and condition for yourself. It also has the typical Blue Crown logo with a number 2 in it denoting that it is a 2 quart crock. The crown stamp is also crisp and clear and everything about this example screams quality. I am selling my 15 gallon Robinson Ransbottom Blue Crown crock. This crock. As you can see from the photos, is in excellent condition. It has a cream color exterior and a brown interior. There are no cracks or chips on this crock. It measures 20 1/2" tall and is approx 17" in diameter, and weighs around 60lbs. It has been well taken care of over the years. Huge 15 gallon. Blue Crown, Robinson Ransbottom, salt glazed crock. No cracks. Photo#7 shows chip on outside. Photo#8 shows tape stuck on side and a defect when made, not actually a chip as it is glazed also. Photo#9 shows specks of what looks like paint, can't say for sure. Beautiful Stoneware USA Blue Crown Water Serving Cooler Crock with Lid& Spigot Excellent condition! The body has no cracks chips or repairs that I can see. I have examined it very well. Only extremely minor tiny little hairline chip if you would even call it that is in the lid. It is so tiny that I do not even think you would notice it after receiving it but wanted to mention. Weight is almost 15lbs. Height with lid is almost 15" and the lid measures 8 1/4 with the body at 10" Please see all photos and ask any questions. ANTIQUE ROBINSON RANSBOTTOM BLUE CROWN BUTTER CHURN This is a great antique butter churn crock. It features the number 4 with a blue crown which signifies it as a Robinson RANSBOTTOM pottery piece. It is in very good shape for the age. It has some light crazing and maybe a couple light cracks near the top. You can see the spots in the pictures. This crock measures about 15.5" high on its own. Blue Crown 2 Gallon Water Cooler with Metal Spigot
For sale is a beautiful Blue Crown Crockery water cooler with spigot. The Blue Crown mark on this almost pristine crock is incised as well as printed and is the most awesome cobalt blue. The interior of the crock is almost spotless except for very minor surface stain marks on the bottom. Other than that there are no cracks. Chips or any other damage. There is no discoloration to the exterior of the crock, which is something I have seen on other water coolers.The spigot is shiny silver metal and very attractive. The exterior of the crock has very light surface crazing which is barely noticeable. The blue bands on the lid and body of crock are gorgeous cobalt blue with no wear whatsoever. The crock is 15" high without the lid. The lid is 8 1/2" in diameter. It weighs just over 16 pounds so is a very substantial piece. I got this at ... morean auction where there were lots of great finds that looked like they had been stored and never used. I believe that is true of this crock but can't be absolutely sure. It is post-1940 but I don't know the exact age. If you are a collector of Blue Crown pottery. Or just want a cooler for your patio parties you will love this great looking piece!

Antique Robinson Ransbottom 4 Gallon Blue Crown Stoneware Water Crock w/ Spigot
This is a very nice vintage crock made Robinson-Ransbottom sometime during the mid-1900's. The company initially started producing from The Ransbottom Brothers Pottery in 1900. The pottery shop was the largest stoneware producer in the world at the time and was sold to The Robinson Clay Products Company in 1919. Together as Robinson-Ransbottom they produced stoneware with the blue crown logo. And some marks show“RRP” in the crown. Others have a number inside the crown, which indicates the size of the crock or bowl. This four-gallon crock measures about 11" across and 14" tall. The piece is decorated with royal blue stripes which give it a beautifully rich aesthetic. There is wonderful detail in the glaze, so please view the pictures carefully for paint and condition details. I've seen many crocks with one or two blue stripes, ... morebut this seems to be a unique design. Sure to complete your decor.
