Listing is for an antique#3 bean pot. This is a lovely piece of old hand thrown pottery with a pressed handle. It is salt glazed with a grown glaze top and interior. It is in very good condition. No cracks and only a couple small chips on the upper rim. If you are looking for an old piece of pottery for decorative use, this has lots of character. It has two twisted handles. The bottom is marked either 801 or 301. Can't quite make it out. I believe this is a hand crafted decorative arts piece. No lid. I have had it for about 15 years ... moreand just used it as a decorative. Condition: very good vintage/ used condition. There are some minor flaws; a flake inside bottom of crock/ pot which can be seen in the pictures. A very minor hairline from top edge; approximately 1-1/4" on the side near one of the handles. Does not reach the handle. Very minor in my opinion. There is some crazing common to a piece of this age. There are some areas of relections in the images, including a grayish cast, sorry. Approximate dimensions: 27" around, just below the handles- 23" around the bottom- 6-1/2" deep- 6-1/4" across the opening- 9-1/4" across handle to handle. This bean pot/ crock is a nice heavy weight. Vintage redware bean pot. This little pot stands just 4 3/4" tall. It measures 4 3/4" in diameter at the opening and 5" in diameter at the base. The outside of the pot is unglazed and the inside is glazed in brown. There are no cracks or chips on this pot but there is some blacking from being over a fire on the bottom. It has the#4 that is easy to see and what appears to be the letters Qt to it's right. The second picture show a white place where the bail is attached. This is NOT a chip, but a flaw in the application of the glaze. It is 7 1/4 inches tall without the lid. It measures 10 inches across the widest part(including the handle) The body is 8 1/2 inches across without the handle. The lid is 5 inches wide and the knob is 1 1/8 inches across. It measures 4 inches across the fat part with a 2 inch op ening and 2 1/2 inches tall. It has a beautiful pu rplish hue to the gla ze. antique ceramic bean pot pickle jar stone crock
This is a really old ceramic crock kind of pot. I don't know much about it other than my wife got this years ago in an old barn in Maine. It is 9 1/2 inches tall and base is 7 inches diameter. The outside is not glazed and just has much"character" The inside is glazed. I am not sure what this was used for. Perhaps making pickles? There is no lid for it and there is a slight chip in the top rim. I can see no maker's mark. Although there is no maker's name on this pot, it still cries out for attention from collectors. This has so much character and eye-appeal. It would look great sitting in the corner or on a shelf filled with dryied flowers or perhaps?

Antique hand thrown pottery bean pot crock measures 6" across and about 6" tall. the bottom is glazed inside and out. The top is glazed on the outside only. There is an embossed stamp on the bottom. It is a diamond shape makers mark with images or printing inside of it that I cannot make out. See photo) If you know what it is. Please feel free to share. I do not know it's origin. It is a lightweight item, not like a heavy stoneware crock. There is a 4" long hairline crack in the cover. I have photographed it from both sides. This is a vintage 2 quart size. Shiny brown glaze, bean pot with lid. It is marked on the unglazed bottom"U.S.A. The pot measures 6 1/2" tall to the top of the lid finial. It is 8" wide from the outside edge of the handle to the outside edge of the handle on the opposite side. It is very clean and shiny and has no chips, cracks, or crazing but does have an area where the glaze is very light on the rim and two areas of glaze flecks, areas that had air bubbles trapped underneath the glaze during the firing process that have flecked off, one area on one handle and the other area is on the side of the pot. There is also a small nib of excess clay trapped in the glaze near the unside rim of the lid. Nice useable addition to your collection. Buyer prepays + shipping via parcel post because of the weight. Robinson Ransbottom Single Handle Crock Bean Pot and Lid Blue Crown # 2 Carmel
Description: Here is a nice Robinson Ransbottom one-handled bean pot or crock. This isn’t the typical brown over cream color. This example has a nice carmel color over cream.The lid could be a replacement as it almost looks like a mix of brown and black. The lid is a perfect match to the crock. There is what could be a small chip under the lid but I think it was a casting flaw. Judging from the nice color inside. I do not think that anything was ever baked in this crock, especially beans. look at all my pictures as they are the best way for you to judge color and condition for yourself. It also has the typical Blue Crown logo with a number 2 in it denoting that it is a 2 quart crock. The crown stamp is also crisp and clear and everything about this example screams quality. Antique sponge ware bean pot, chicken wire pattern yellow ware
Yellow Ware Bean Pot with Lid. Dating to the late 19th century. This wonderful piece of history features a raised swirl base with brown and teal sponging in the chicken wire pattern. It measures 6" to the top of the knob and is 7" in diameter at its widest point. Some sellers attribute this piece to early Red Wing. The lid has several chips on the inside edge, the largest being 1/4" and a few chips on the outside of the lid, the largest can be seen at the bottom of photo#4. Crazing on almost every surface. Photo#3 shows a 1/4" chip just to the left of the handle and a 5/8" chip at about 10 o'clock. Photo#5 shows a 3/8" chip in the outer rim. The rim chips aren't very noticeable when you look at them from the side. The last three photos shows a 5/8" crack around a thick spot next to the handle, a ... more3/8" chip in the glaze next to a small bump that was in the glaze, and a 1/4" chip in the handle that looks like it was made before the glaze was applied.

Stoneware Bean Pot Crock With Glass Lid No Maker Mark Brown Ware
Unusual Stoneware Crock This is a different crock. Has a small handle on the side plus the wire handle on top. It has a glass lid that has a few chips along the edge. The crock is in pretty good condition. I don't know what this was designed for and if you know feel free to shoot me a message. I like to learn. It is 6" tall and about 7" wide.
